(Moench.) is high nutrition compound potential for diabetes and Alzheimer. Yield is one of the characters have to improve in plant breeding program through stomata characterization. The variability for 14 genotypes showed significantly for stomatal length, stomatal width, epidermal cell number, chloroplast number, stomatal number, stomatal index and stomatal density. Stomatal density for P2 was 256.80 mm2 that was nonsignificant with Zahira (265.31 mm2) and Naila (204.08 mm2). Genotypes P2, Zahira and Naila showed low stomatal density that mean efficiency for water management in leaves. The high stomatal index causing high photosynthesis and high yield. Stomatal index were high for genotypes P1 (40.31) and P2 (35.69). Naila has low stomatal index but Zahira as significant as genotype P2. This research aims to study the effect of paclobutrazol and benzyl adenine on in vitro growth and shoot multiplication of shallot (Allium cepa L. ) varieti Bima Brebes. The experiment was arranged in a Randomized Complete Block Design Group with two factor, the first factor consists of paclobutrazol of four levels (0.0 ppm, 2.5 ppm, 5.0 ppm and 7.5 ppm), and the second factor is the concentration of benzyl adenine consists of three levels (0.0 mg / l, 0.5 mg / l and 1.0 mg / l), in order to obtain 12 combinations of treatments and every treatments consist of 3 repetion. Results from this study indicate that the effect of paclobutrazol and benzyl adenine was no interaction in the number of shoots, leaves, roots, and lenght of rootin of Bima Brebes during 10 MST. The persentage of live explants as a whole is 84.03%. There is no significance effect of paclobutrazol on the number of shoots, number of leaves, number of roots, and leaf lenght shallot of explants. Treatments of benzyl adenin were only have significance effect on the number of shoots and number of leaves shallot of explants, but no significance effect on the number the variable leaf colors, number of roots, and leaf lenght shallot of explants. Basal stem rot caused by Phytophthora palmivora .is an important disease of papaya in Indonesia. This research aimed to study the effectiveness of antagonistic bacteria to control root rot on papaya seedlings. This research was conducted in the Laboratory of Center for Tropical Horticulture Studies (PKHT), Bogor Agricultural University. Antagonistic bacterial isolates used were Bacillus cereus G4, Bacillus firmus J8, K1, Pseudomonas diminuta P14, and Pseudomonas aeruginosa PA 2 . Antibiosis ability of all antagonistic bacteria was tested in vitro, by using dual culture test. Bioassay without pathogen inoculation was also performed to study the effect of tested bacteria on growth promotion of papaya seedlings. Effectiveness of five bacteria against basal stem rot was tested in a green house experiment with artificial inoculation of pathogens. Antagonistic bacteria was applied as seed trestment and watering at the rate of 10 5 cfu/ml. All antagonistic bacteria isolates suppressed the disease at the rate of 24.99 – 34.99%. Bacillus cereus G4 and Pseudomonas aeruginosa was able to increase growth of papaya.seedlings. The study was conducted by using Response Surface Methodology (RSM). The first factor is the drying temperature with minimal limit of 50 °C and maximal limit of 80 o C. The second factor is the drying time with minimal limit 2 hours and maximal limit 5 hours. The combination of these two factors resulted in 13 units of the experiment with two replications. Optimal conditions sweetened dried red chili achieved resulting in the combination of drying temperature 73.36 °C and drying time 2,54 hours with a chroma value of 21,22, vitamin C content of 5,8 mg/100 g, water content of 10,56 %, and sugar content of 49,82 o Brix. Penyakit bercak daun akibat Cercospora sp. merupakan salah satu masalah serius dalam pasar industri anggrek. Potensi khamir antagonis sebagai agens pengendali hayati telah banyak dilaporkan dalam mengendalikan penyakit. Penelitian ini bertujuan menguji dan menyeleksi khamir antagonis dalam menekan perkembangan penyakit bercak daun cercospora pada tanaman anggrek. Tujuh khamir yang digunakan merupakan khamir antagonis koleksi Klinik Tanaman, IPB. Semua isolat khamir dikaji kemampuan antagonisnya terhadap Cercospora sp. secara in vitro , in vivo , dan in planta . Uji in vitro dilakukan dengan menghitung perkecambahan konidia pada suspensi sel khamir, uji in vivo dilakukan dengan pencelupan daun anggrek ke dalam suspensi sel khamir, dilanjutkan uji in planta dengan menyemprotkan suspensi sel khamir pada tanaman anggrek. Khamir yang efektif dalam mengendalikan bercak daun cercospora adalah Cryptococcus albidus Yp, Candida tropicalis Lm 13 BE, dan Rhodotorula minuta Dmg 16 BEP. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebagian mekanisme yang mendasari pengendalian penyakit oleh khamir-khamir tersebut adalah hambatan dalam perkecambahan konidia. Berdasarkan kejadian penyakit, C. albidus Yp mampu menekan perkembangan bercak daun cercospora dengan tingkat keefektifan sebesar 52.53%. Persentase tingkat keefektifan perlakuan Ca. tropicalis Lm 13 BE dan R. minuta Dmg 16 BEP adalah 34.15% dan 30.04%. Berdasarkan keparahan penyakit, C. albidus Yp, Ca. tropicalis Lm 13 BE, dan R. minuta Dmg 16 BEP mampu menekan perkembangan bercak daun cercospora dengan tingkat keefektifan berturut-turut sebesar 55.81%, 53.87%, dan 57.60%. The study was conducted from November 2005 to March 2006 at Deep Pool Growing System facilities, Danasworo Hydrogarden Ciapus, Bogor (S 6 o 38’.19.78”, E 106 o 45’44.52”). The study was arranged in Completely Randomized Design with four levels of nutrient solution concentration. These are control (without nutrient), EC 0.75 mS.cm -1 , EC 1.50 mS.cm -1 and EC 2.25 mS.cm -1 . The composition of AB Mix nutrient solution were as followed (ppm): NH 4 + 22.5, K + 429, Ca 2+ 180, Mg 2+ 24, NO 3 - 1178, SO 4 2- 108, H 2 PO 4 - 194, Fe 3+ 2.232, Mn 3+ 0.275, Zn 2+ 0.261, B 3+ 0.324, Cu 2+ 0.049 dan Mo 2+ 0.048. Lettuce growth and yield was quadratically increased with nutrient solution concentrations application from 0 to 2.25 mS.cm -1 . Base on total plant weight and marketable plant weight, recommendation range of optimum nutrient solution concentration for lettuce hydroponic production in THST was between 1.09-1.15 mS.cm -1 .","PeriodicalId":119401,"journal":{"name":"Comm. Permasalahan utama jeruk nusantara adalah daya saing yang rendah terhadap jeruk impor. Warna kulit jeruk siam masak cenderung hijau kekuningan. Salah satu upaya mengatasi permasalahan tersebut adalah menerapkan teknologi degreening untuk menghasilkan warna jingga pada kulit buah jeruk. Teknologi degreening dapat diterapkan dengan menggunakan ethephon. Aplikasi ethephon selain mempercepat proses degreening adalah mempercepat penuaan atau pembusukkan buah. Stiker pascapanen yang mengandung natrium klorida merupakan salah satu inovasi yang praktis digunakan untuk memperpanjang umur simpan buah yang diproduksi oleh salah satu perusahaan di Malaysia. Aplikasi stiker ini diharapkan dapat memperlambat proses pembusukan pada buah jeruk. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengkaji pengaruh ethephon terhadap kecepatan degreening dan penggunaan stiker pascapanen terhadap perpanjangan umur simpan jeruk siam garut. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Agustus sampai September 2017 di Laboratorium Pascapanen Pusat Kajian Hortikultura Tropika Institut Pertanian Bogor (PKHT IPB). Rancangan percobaan yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Kelompok Lengkap Teracak (RKLT) faktorial dengan ethephon (perlakuan ethephon dan perlakuan tanpa ethephon) sebagai faktor pertama dan stiker pascapanen (perlakuan stiker pascapanen dan perlakuan tanpa stiker pascapanen) sebagai faktor kedua. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa interaksi antara ethephon dengan stiker pascapanen tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap kualitas visual, kualitas fisik, dan kualitas kimiawi buah jeruk siam garut. Aplikasi ethephon 1.000 ppm dapat mempercepat proses degreening pada buah jeruk siam garut hingga 10 hari untuk memperoleh kulit berwarna jingga kekuningan dibandingkan buah perlakuan tanpa ethephon. Warna jingga pada kulit buah perlakuan ethephon terjadi pada umur 11 HSP. Perlakuan ethephon tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap kualitas kimiawi buah. Buah perlakuan ethephon mulai mengalami pembusukan pada umur 9 HSP dan buah perlakuan tanpa ethephon mulai mengalami pembusukan pada umur 13 HSP. Percobaan dilaksanakan di Kebun Percobaan Leuwikopo, Institut Pertanian Bogor pada bulan April – Juli 2013. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan nilai heterosis tinggi tidak selalu diikuti oleh nilai heterobeltiosis tinggi. Genotipe yang memiliki keunggulan heterosis dan heterobeltiosis adalah T73xT78 dan T13xT64 masing-masing pada karakter diameter batang dan lebar daun. The aimed of this research is to evaluate qualitative and quantitative character (Capsicum frutescens L) and analysis cluster. Plant material used are 20 genotypes of bird pepper. The experiment was arranged in Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) single factor with three replications . The results show that IPB C341 the genotype that has the highest weight per fruit and yield. IPB C350 is a genotype has the longest fruit size. IPB C337 is the genotype with the largest number of fruit per plant. The results of the analysis cluster divided into 4 groups. Group 1 there are 2 genotypes there are IPB C190 and IPB C 289. Group 2 consists of 6 genotypes there are IPB C285, IPB C295, IPB C321, IPB C349, IPB C290 and IPB C348. Group 3 consists of 6 genotypes there are IPB C331, IPB C332, IPB C334, IPB C334, IPB C344, IPB C335 and IPB C337, IPB C339 and group 4 consists of 6 genotypes there are IPB C342, IPB C350, IPB C339, IPB C345, IPB C341 and IPB C343. Crossings between genotypes that have different traits are one step in creating new, superior varieties. This study was aimed at analyzing gen action, the genetic diversity, correlation between characters, path analysis, broad-sense heritability, and the value of F2 genetic advance on the character of the number of fruit per plant. The study was conducted under a green house condition at Kebun Percobaan Leuwikopo IPB, Dramaga, Bogor and the laboratory of Genetics and Plant Breeding, Department of Agronomy and Horticulture, IPB. The study took place from October 2016 to March 2017. This study used the population of the F2 population Syakira IPB x IPB C320; 201 plants, P1 Syakira IPB; 21 plants, P2 IPB C320; 21 plants. The results showed that all characters qualitative controlled by two gens. The character s quantitative of flowering age, plant height, length of first segment, stem diameter, fruit diameter, fruit weight per plant, and number of fruit per plant have wide genetic diversity. All observed characters provide a positive correlation except the character of fruit weight and fruit diameter. Characters that directly affect the number of fruits per plant is weight of fruit per plant, fruit weight and plant height. The value of broad-based heritability with high criterion exists in all observed characters. Progress selection on the main character gives great value.
