Although e-cash is successfully being used for medium scale payments in worldwide, but for micro scale payments it hasn't been fortunate. Investigates have revealed many reasons for so called unfortunate of e-cash in micropayment scale. Its disability to meet requirements of an ideal e-cash such as accessibility, anonymity, need of intermediate, cost of transaction, ease of use and lack of proper distribution architecture are the most outstanding failures of existing e-cashes which have stopped e-cash to be used as well known electronic money for micro scale payments. Collecting the best qualities of existing e-cashes and dismissing their disabilities will guide the research to a series of properties for an ideal e-cash named “BESTCASH”. The main objective of this research is introducing a model for BESTCASH to meet the criteria of ideal electronic money for micropayment scale.","PeriodicalId":117572,"journal":{"name":"2012 International Conference on Innovation Management and Technology Research","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2012-05-21","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130684199","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this study, affordable house means house that is appropriate for low to moderate income households. Two existing housing schemes in Kota Kinabalu, namely Taman Bina Puri and Taman Jaya Diri were selected for observation. The study revealed that there is no clear framework to guide the construction as well as distribution of affordable house to the poor. The study proposed the adoption of the Development Assistance Committee (DAC) criteria as means of evaluation towards ensuring equitable and effectiveness affordable house distribution.","PeriodicalId":117572,"journal":{"name":"2012 International Conference on Innovation Management and Technology Research","volume":"14 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2012-05-21","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114203399","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

So far, the take ups are still below targeted figure as stipulated in IBS Roadmap 2003-2010. Thus, this paper aims to identify the involvement of Sarawak contractors in IBS through questionnaires. The results indicated that IBS is still considered new to most of the contractors in Sarawak and thus, further indicated that they were still lacking exposure to IBS. Most of the contractors agreed that IBS will enhance better project delivery. However, lack of volume to economically use of IBS becomes the main setback to the implementation of IBS in Sarawak.","PeriodicalId":117572,"journal":{"name":"2012 International Conference on Innovation Management and Technology Research","volume":"107 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2012-05-21","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"117248155","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

But this method is expensive and time consuming. Also because of lithology changes, heterogeneity of reservoir rock, and nonexistence of sufficient well cores, determination of the parameters by the usual methods is not accurate. So the best way to decrease cost, increase accuracy, and decrease time is applying advanced software such as Geolog and Back-Propagation of Error Artificial Neural Network (BP-ANN). In this paper, a BP-ANN was designed to predict the porosity of formations using the well logs data in Parsi field, located in southwest of Iran. The data of two wells (No. 33 and No. 19) that have core data were used for training, testing, validation, and generalization processes. Then the BP-ANN results were compared to evaluations obtained from Geolog Software (GS). With respect to the results, it was concluded that the BP-ANN is more accurate than GS in determining oil reservoir porosity. At the end, porosity was simulated in three other wells (No. 48, 49, and 64) that lack core data.","PeriodicalId":117572,"journal":{"name":"2012 International Conference on Innovation Management and Technology Research","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2012-05-21","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129358782","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

One of the most used is WIFI and UMTS (3G) networks. These technologies must satisfy users' requirements especially those related to real time applications such as IP telephony or video streaming. Therefore WIFI and UMTS must implement QoS techniques to reach this satisfaction. Both networks handle differently QoS, particularly in the air interface, where WIFI has its own mechanisms while UMTS has no mature techniques. In this study, we present WIFI and UMTS networks, we will focus on the air interface functioning of both networks to highlight similarities, then we propose two schemes inspired from WIFI QoS techniques to improve QoS in UMTS air interface (Uu interface).","PeriodicalId":117572,"journal":{"name":"2012 International Conference on Innovation Management and Technology Research","volume":"61 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2012-05-21","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130909306","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

EMS is nowadays available everywhere from high schools to high educational universities. Such a major software product still lacks in covering certain areas of education world and conventional frameworks of eLearning are incapable of answering to those demands both for learners and tutors. Basically every researcher in educational context suffer from lack of internal or furthermore cross institute collaboration, which supports research in the best way and prevent from unnecessary efforts in the initial and latter steps of a research project. Web 2.0 has the potential to cover the lack of research collaboration with tools that includes collaboration, knowledge sharing and consequently collaborative learning. This paper reviews some frameworks of eLearning and introduces a new functional framework that aims to facilitate eLearning with research support embedded functionality. A case study has been conducted to analyze the current state of a university eLearning system and the framework potentials to improve that as an educational context. To evaluate the framework effectiveness a quantitative analysis has been conducted as well.","PeriodicalId":117572,"journal":{"name":"2012 International Conference on Innovation Management and Technology Research","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2012-05-21","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130509430","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

KM has yet to be defined as a discipline of science. To some researchers, it is denoted as a multidisciplinary problems characterized by a number of core theoretical ideas, which include data and information management techniques, artificial intelligence, organizational theory and behaviour, sociology of knowledge and knowledge representation, and business economics and strategy. Nevertheless, within a short span of time, KM is believed to be a tool for designing an organization's goals, structures, and processes as to learn and to create value for its customers and community. It is also argued as a planned, structured approach to manage the creation, sharing, harvesting and leveraging of knowledge as an organizational asset, to enhance an organization's ability, speed and effectiveness. Different aspects of KM have been discussed by academicians. However, most academicians unanimously pointed out KM as a new innovation in knowledge. Therefore, to understand the KM concept, this paper will laid out KM brief development, its importance and process in enhancing work performance and improvement of organizational standards.","PeriodicalId":117572,"journal":{"name":"2012 International Conference on Innovation Management and Technology Research","volume":"20 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2012-05-21","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134271114","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
