However,  the function of urban forests is limited because the studies were carried out on a small scale and at separate loci. This study aimed to estimate the biomass, storage and sequestration of carbon in five green open spaces located in Jakarta and Bogor areas. Biomass was estimated by non-destructive sampling for above ground biomass. The results estimated the forest park in Kanal Banjir Timur (KBT) absorbed CO2 of 1,000.01 ton/ha/year, the forest park at head office absorbed CO2 of 937.53 ton/ha/year,  Mangrove Forest Park of Muara Tawar Bekasi absorbed  CO2 of 46.10 ton/ha/year, and the Bukit Golf Pantai Indah Kapuk area absorbed CO2 of 147.91 tonnes/ha/year.  Meanwhile the campus Forest Park of IPB University absorbed CO2 of 0.16 ton/ha. The value difference  is influenced by parameters such as size or scale of sampling areas, number of stands, diameter, height, and coefficient value for each plant species. This study is expected to contribute in providing information and data on biomass, carbon content, and absorption in urban areas. Keywords: Biomass, carbon sequestration, urban forest ABSTRAK Keberadaan taman hutan sebagai ruang terbuka hijau di wilayah perkotaan yang padat penduduk dan aktivitas lalu lintas yang tinggi, seperti DKI Jakarta, Bekasi dan Bogor menjadi penting dalam menyerap CO2. Namun informasi dan data mengenai peran hutan kota masih sangat sedikit, karena umumnya kajian dilakukan dalam skala kecil dan pada lokus yang terpisah-pisah. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menduga biomassa, simpanan dan serapan karbon pada lima ruang terbuka hijau di lima titik wilayah Jakarta dan Bogor. Metode yang digunakan untuk menduga biomasa adalah dengan non-destructive sampling untuk biomassa di atas permukaan tanah (above ground biomass). Hasil perhitungan menunjukkan bahwa ruang terbuka hijau di Taman Kanal Banjir Timur (KBT) mampu menyerap CO2 sebesar 1.000,01 ton/tahun; Taman Hutan Tractors Head Office  mampu menyerap CO2 sebesar 937,53 ton/tahun, Taman Wisata Mangrove Muara Tawar Bekasi mampu menyerap karbon CO2 sebesar 46,10 ton/tahun, dan Taman Hutan Bukit Golf Pantai Indah Kapuk mampu menyerap CO2 sebesar 147,91 ton/tahun. Sementara Taman Hutan Kampus IPB Dramaga Bogor mampu menyerap CO2 sebesar 0,16 ton/tahun. Perbedaan nilai tersebut dipengaruhi oleh berbagai parameter seperti luas areal kajian, jumlah tegakan, diameter, tinggi, dan nilai koefisien pada masing-masing jenis tumbuhan. Hasil penelitian ini diharapkan dapat berkontribusi dalam memberikan informasi dan data mengenai biomassa, kandungan dan serapan karbon di wilayah kajian. Therefore, the agro-climatic characteristics of plantation area are needed to determine the suitability class of the land before extensive rubber planting is carried out. The aim of this study was to examine the growth of combination of clones  (IRR 112 and IRR 118) and the number of umbrella leaves (two umbrellas and three umbrellas) during immature plants (TBM). Plantation was established at the Experimental Garden of the Rubber Research Center, Banyuasin Regency, South Sumatra Province. Land suitability was determined based on soil data and climate data. Clone growth was observed based on the growth of stems from a sampling of 500 trees for each clone-umbrella combination. Growth measurement was carried out every year until five years old plants. The results showed that IRR 112 clone rubber with three umbrellas was the best rubber planting material and reach 81% mature tapping stems after five years old. It is recommended that IRR 112 clone rubber with three umbrellas can be planted on land with the land suitability class suitable (S2) in the lowlands on Ultisol soil type. Keywords: Clone, rubber seeds, land suitability, circumference of the stem ABSTRAK Klon tanaman karet memiliki daya adaptasi yang berbeda-beda, sehingga tidak ada klon karet yang unggul di semua lokasi penanaman. Oleh karena itu karakteristik agroklimat pada areal penanaman tanaman karet diperlukan untuk menentukan kelas kesesuaian lahannya sebelum penanaman karet secara luas dilaksanakan. Penelitian bertujuan untuk menguji pertumbuhan kombinasi klon (IRR 112 dan IRR 118) dan jumlah payung daun bibit karet (payung dua dan payung tiga) selama masa tanaman belum menghasilkan (TBM). Penanaman dilakukan di Kebun Percobaan Pusat Penelitian Karet, Kabupaten Banyuasin, Provinsi Sumatera Selatan. Penentuan kelas kesesuaian lahan dilakukan berdasarkan data tanah dan data iklim. Pertumbuhan klon diamati berdasarkan pengukuran lilit batang pada 500 pohon sampling untuk setiap kombinasi klon-jumlah payung. Pengukuran pertumbuhan dilakukan setiap tahun sampai dengan umur lima tahun. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa bibit karet klon IRR 112 dengan jumlah payung tiga merupakan bibit karet yang terbaik dan pada umur lima tahun telah menghasilkan 81% batang matang sadap. Bibit karet tersebut dianjurkan ditanam pada lahan dengan kelas kesesuaian lahan sesuai (S2) di dataran rendah pada jenis tanah Ultisol. Changes in temperature followed by humidity changes will affect plant physiology, including the stomata index and chlorophyll. Both parts are essential for the photosynthesis process in the plant. This study aimed to determine whether abiotic factors influenced the physiological conditions of teak plants. Leaf samples were taken from six trees selected based on tree height (11-13 meters). Leaf samples were taken in the same direction north and south, 18 for the stomata sample and 18 for the chlorophyll sample, with three samples for the stomata and chlorophyll in each tree. Temperature and humidity observations were carried out for two months. The analysis used in this study was SEM-PLS analysis using warpls software. The results showed that temperature had a positive effect on the stomata index of 0.746. The significant negative effect was indicated by the effect of temperature on chlorophyll a, humidity on chlorophyll b and humidity on total chlorophyll with values of 0.571,-0.688 and -0.614, respectively. The reduced environmental temperature has caused a reduction in photosystem activity, resulting in excessive chlorophyll production. The remedial solution is silvicultural techniques application in an appropriate plant spacing to reduce temperature and increase the humidity of the microclimate in the area.  Keywords: Ecophysiology, chlorophyll, stomata, abiotic factors ABSTRAK Perubahan iklim akibat penambahan suhu bumi meningkatkan peluang stres tanaman. Perubahan suhu yang diikuti dengan perubahan kelembapan akan mempengaruhi fisiologi tanaman diantaranya indeks stomata dan klorofil, dimana keduanya merupakan bagian dalam proses penting tanaman, yakni proses fotosintesis. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui apakah kondisi fisiologis tanaman jati dipengaruhi oleh faktor abiotik. Pengambilan sampel daun dilakukan pada enam pohon yang dipilih berdasarkan tinggi pohon (11-13 m). Sampel daun diambil searah, yaitu utara dan selatan sebanyak 18 untuk sampel stomata dan 18 untuk sampel klorofil, dengan masing-masing tiga sampel untu stomata dan klorofil pada setiap pohon. Pengamatan suhu dan kelembapan dilakukan selamadua bulan. Analisis yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah analisis SEM-PLSmenggunakan software warpls. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa suhu berpengaruh positif terhadap indeks stomata sebesar 0,746. Pengaruh negatif secara signifikan ditunjukkan olehpengaruh suhu terhadap klorofil a, kelembapan terhadap klorofil b dan kelembapan terhadap klorofil total dengan nilai masing-masing -0,571, -0,688 dan -0,614. Suhu lingkungan berkurang mengakibatkan pengurangan aktivitas fotosistem, sehingga produksi klorofil berlebihan. Solusi perbaikan dengan penerapan teknik silvikltur dalam pengaturan jaraktanaman yang sesuai untuk menurunkan suhu dan meningkatkan kelembapan iklim mikro dikawasan. This effort has limitations such as non-standardized silvicultural techniques and cutting cycle, and no annual growth measurements. This is a problem in compiling tables of community forest stands. Therefore, no adequate information on the stands’ growth to support the promotion of community forest development. This study was conducted to overcome those problems using modeling techniques involving several different measurement locations and plant ages. The parameters of the built model were the elevation model, the quality of the place to grow, and the tree diameter of each class of quality of jabon stands’ site. The research objective was to create a growth and site quality model and provide data on jabon diameter growth in each class. The results showed that the Schumacher model could be used in estimating the tree height of jabon, while the ChapmanRichards model was excellent in classifying the quality of growing sites of jabon. The only valid model for diameter growth of jabon stands was Bonita II. ABSTRAK Keberadaan hutan rakyat merupakan salah satu upaya penyediaan bahan baku kayu oleh  masyarakat. Upaya ini memiliki batasan seperti teknik silvikultur dan umur tebang yang  tidak baku, serta pengukuran pertumbuhan yang tidak dilakukan setiap tahun. Hal ini menjadi masalah dalam menyusun tabel tegakan hutan rakyat. Dampaknya adalah informasi pertumbuhan tegakan tidak ada sehingga promosi pembangunan hutan rakyat menjadi terbatas. Untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut, dilakukan penelitian dengan menggunakan teknik pemodelan yang melibatkan beberapa lokasi pengukuran dan umur tanaman jabon yang berbeda. Parameter model yang dibangun adalah model peninggi, kualitas tempat tumbuh dan diameter pohon setiap kelas kualitas tempat tumbuh. Tujuan penelitian adalah membuat model peninggi dan kualitas tempat tumbuh serta menyediakan data pertumbuhan diameter pohon di setiap kelas. Hasil penelitian meunjukkan bahwa model Schumacher dapat digunakan dalam menduga tinggi pohon jabon, sedangkan model Chapman-Richards sangat baik dalam mengklasifikasi kualitas tempat tumbuh jabon. Small scale privately owned forest is an alternative to meet wood needs. To ensure the sustainability of small scale privately owned forest, it should provide high profit for the farmers and that can only be achieved by eficiency in the wood marketing. This study aimed to analyzed the efficiency of sengon wood marketing in Pekon Lengkukai Village. The research was conducted in January-February 2020. Data was collected through observation, documentation studies, and interviews with farmers and traders. Respondents consisted of 52 sengon wood farmers selected by simple random sampling and 10 marketing institutions (3 sawmills, 2 traders, and 5 loggers) selected by snowball sampling. The data were analyzed through marketing channels and market performance by using share and profit margin ratio calculation. The results identified four channels of sengon wood marketing, namely: (1) farmers - end consumers (2) farmers - sawmill - consumers, (3) farmers - collectors traders - sawmill - consumers, and (4) farmers - wood cutters - collector - sawmill - consumer. Sawmill has significant influence on marketing and achieved the highest ratio of profit margins. Based on the ratio of profit margins and share price at the farm level, the marketing of sengon wood in Lengkukai Village is inefficient. The bargaining position of farmers needs to be improved, by forming farmer groups as a marketing institution that accommodates and promotes farmer’s sengon wood, and open farmer’s access to market information and capital credit. ABSTRAK Kebutuhan pasokan kayu mengalami peningkatan, tetapi kayu dari hutan alam dan hutan tanaman industri mengalami penurunan. Hutan rakyat menjadi alternatif untuk memenuhi kebutuhan ini. Untuk menjaga kelestarian hutan rakyat, maka petani sebagai pengelolanya harus mendapatkan keuntungan yang tinggi, hal ini dapat tercapai jika pemasarannya efisiensi. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menganalisis efisiensi pemasaran kayu sengon di Pekon Lengkukai, Kabupaten Tanggamus, Provinsi Lampung. Penelitian dilaksanakan bulan Januari-Februari 2020. Pengambilan data dilakukan melalui observasi lapang, studi dokumentasi dan wawancara pada petani kayu sengon serta lembaga pemasaran yang terlibat. Responden petani kayu sengon yang diwawancara, meliputi 52 orang petani yang dipilih secara acak sederhana, dan 10 lembaga pemasaran (3 sawmill, 2 pedagang pengumpul, dan 5 penebang kayu) yang dipilih menggunakan metode snowball sampling. Instar number and the size range were determined by non linear regression, while the instar stage was estimated by the regression equation using bag diameter and length. We concluded that the larvae experienced four instars. The head capsule of larvae grew regularly following Dyar’s pattern, with the value approximately 1.42. The bag size of instar 1, instar 2, instar 3, and instar 4 were estimated as a range from 0-2.19 mm; 2.19-3.55 mm; 3.55-6.10 mm; and more than 6.10 mm in length respectively. The bag length was reasonable to be used as a reliable predictor of the instar stage. ABSTRAK Ulat kantong Pteroma plagiophleps merupakan serangga hama penting pada tanaman sengon. Perkembangan larvanya perlu diketahui sebagai dasar pengendaliannya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan jumlah instar dan laju pertambahan ukuran larva berdasarkan lebar kapsul kepalanya. Selain itu, juga untuk menduga instarnya dengan menggunakan ukuran kantong larva. Jumlah instar dan kisaran ukurannya ditentukan menggunakan persamaan regresi non linear, sedangkan tingkat instar diturunkan dari persamaan regresi linear menggunakan peubah ukuran diameter dan panjang kantong. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa larva ulat kantong diduga mengalami empat instar. Pertumbuhan larva mengikuti pola yang relatif konstan dengan nilai “koefisien Dyar” rata-rata 1,42. Dugaan ukuran panjang kantong larva instar 1, instar 2, instar 3, dan instar 4 masing-masing memiliki kisaran antara 0-2,19 mm 2,19-3,55 mm, 3,55-6,10 mm, dan lebih dari 6,10 mm. This study aims to determine trends in patterns of change in density and diversity of secondary dipterocarp stands innatural forests based on variations in logging aged as projections of natural recovery thatoccurs in production natural forests. The study was conducted at the Natural Forest IUPHHK of PT. Gunung Gajah Abadi, Wahau, East Kalimantan. Data collection period on 2016-2019 by building temporary sampling plots of 11 plots (11 hectares) on 7 variations of logging aged. Density parameters (i.e. number of trees and basal area per unit areaand diversity (number of species, heterogeneity index, species abundance and evennessindex) of Dipterocarp secondary forest stands will vary over the logging aged. The form ofthe relationship of stand density, abundance index and species evenness index islogarithmic regression form, while for base field parameter, the number and index ofspecies diversity are polynomial or quadratic regression. Aged stands after logging is factor that influences quite a large number of species composition, but is not large enoughfor other stand density and diversity parameters. ABSTRAK Penilaian pemulihan hutan sekunder dipterokarpa mempunyai parameter penting, yaitu kerapatan tegakan dan keragaman komposisi jenis hutan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kecenderungan pola perubahan kerapatan dan keragaman tegakan pada hutan alam dipterokarpa sekunder berdasarkan variasi umur tebangan sebagai proyeksi tingkat pemulihan (recovery) alami yang terjadi pada hutan alam produksi. Penelitian dilaksanakan di IUPHHK Hutan Alam PT Gunung Gajah Abadi, Wahau, Kalimantan Timur. Periode pengumpulan data pada tahun 2016-2019 dengan pembuatan plot sampling temporer sebanyak 11 plot (seluas 11 ha) pada tujuh variasi umur tebangan. Parameter kerapatan (jumlah pohon dan bidang dasar per satuan luas) dan keragaman (jumlah jenis, indeks keanekaragaman, kelimpahan jenis dan indeks kemerataan jenis) tegakan hutan sekunder dipterokarpa akan bervariasi sepanjang umur tebangan. Bentuk hubungan parameter kerapatan tegakan, indeks kelimpahan dan indeks kemerataan jenis adalah berbentuk regresi logaritma, sedangkan untuk parameter bidang dasar tegakan, jumlah dan indeks keanekaragaman jenis berbentuk regresi polynomial atau kuadratik. As a result, erosion, runoff and nutrient loss often occur in this area. To address these problems, the application of soil and water conservation techniques with a vertical mulch technique is required. The aim of the study was to determine the effect of vertical mulch treatment on the amount of runoff, erosion, nutrient loss and also its impact on the growth of S. johorensis, G. gnemon, and P. speciosa. The results showed that soil and water conservation techniques with vertical mulch are very effective in reducing runoff, erosion and nutrient losses (N, P, K, Ca and Mg). The vertical mulch of mixed planting pattern between S. johorensis and G. gnemon could decrease the surface run off and erosion by 61.74% and 57.14%, respectively, while the mixture of S. johorensis and P. speciosa decreased the runoff and erosion rate equal to 81.39% and 17.64%, respectively. In addition, the use of vertical mulch could also increase the growth of the tree species until the age of 3 years in the field compared to those without treatment. ABSTRAK Lahan terdegradasi banyak dijumpai di Hutan Penelit ian Carita, Jawa Barat, khususnya di lahan-lahan berlereng. Akibatnya seringkali terjadi erosi, aliran permukaan dan hilangnya unsur hara. Untuk mengatasi hal tersebut perlu dilakukan penerapan teknik konservasi tanah dan air dengan teknik mulsa vert ikal. Tujuan penelitian adalah mengetahui pengaruh perlakuan mulsa vert ikal terhadap besarnya aliran permukaan, erosi dan kehilangan unsur hara serta dampaknya terhadap pertumbuhan tanaman S. johorensis, G. gnemon, dan P. speciosa. Hasil penelit ian menunjukkan bahwa teknik konservasi tanah dan air dengan mulsa vertikal sangat efektif dalam mengurangi laju aliran permukaan, erosi dan kehilangan unsur hara (N, P, K, Ca dan Mg). Mulsa vertikal pada pola tanam campuran jenis S. johorensis dan G. gnemon, dapat menurunkan aliran permukaan dan erosi masing-masing 61,74% dan 57,14%; sedangkan campuran S. johorensis dan P. speciosa, menurunkan laju aliran permukaan dan erosi sebesar masing-masing 81,39% dan 17,64%. This study aimed to provide a model of growth estimation of individual growth of bamboo stems. Destruction method was used, and resulting data was sorted sorted by time. The correlation between age and dimensions was analyzed with cross-section technique. The results showed that there were a correlation among age with node diameter and node length, but no correlation with wall-node thick. Parameters of node length, total length of bamboo, and base node diameter significantly influenced the estimated diameter of each node. Node’s sequence number, node lengths, and base node diameter can be used to compile estimation model of the bamboo wall thickness. The uniqueness of bamboo model is the importance of node sequence.. This model can be used for sustainable development use of Dendrocalamus asper. ABSTRAK Informasi pertumbuhan individu batang bambu seperti dimensi panjang ruas, diameter ruas, dan tebal dinding  ruas bambu sangat diperlukan untuk tujuan peningkatan rendemen olahan bambu. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menyediakan model perangkat penduga pertumbuhan sehingga memudahkan dalam menduga pertumbuhan individu batang bambu. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode destruksi. Data yang dihasilkan diurutkan berdasarkan waktu dan selanjutnya dilakukan analisis dengan teknik cross-section sehingga dapat dibangun hubungan antara umur dengan dimensi bambu. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada hubungan antara umur dengan parameter diameter ruas dan panjang ruas, namun tidak dengan tebal dinding batang bambu. Parameter panjang ruas, panjang total bambu, dan diameter pada pangkal bambu berpengaruh nyata dalam menduga diameter setiap ruas. Sementara parameter nomor urut ruas, panjang ruas dan diameter pangkal dapat digunakan untuk menyusun model penduga ketebalan dinding ruas bambu. Keunikan dari model bambu ini adalah adanya parameter urutan ruas yang perlu dipertimbangkan. However, literature on phenology research of this species, is very limited even to date. The purpose of this research is to understand the phenology phase of D. blumei and to analyze the correlation of each phenology phase to climate factor, particularly temperature and rainfall. This information is expected to support D. blumei's reintroduction activities. The phenology of D. blumei in Eka Karya Bali Botanical Garden was observed from May 2015 to May 2016 using 30 plant samples. Several samples produced sterile and fertile leaves during observation. Phenological phases include frond emergence, leaf development, leaf maturation (characterized by spore), leaf senescence and mature spore formation until spore release. The number of developed leaves was less than the number emerged frond, while the number of whitered leaves was less than the number of matured leaves. The average number of days needed from frond to withered phase was 254.3l ± 6.8 days. Leaf development phase was negatively correlated with temperature, while leaf senescence phase was positively correlated with rainfall. Fertility and leaf production were not correlated with climate factors or seasonal variations. These results show that phenological rhythms of D. blumei were not influenced by climate variations. ABSTRAK Dicksonia blumei (Kunze) Moore merupakan jenis paku pohon yang memiliki kegunaan sebagai tanaman obat dan hias. Namun demikian, sampai saat ini belum banyak literatur yang membahas fenologi jenis paku tersebut. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui fase fenologi D. blumei dan menganalisa hubungan setiap fase fenologi dengan faktor iklim (suhu dan curah hujan). Informasi ini diharapkan dapat mendukung kegiatan reintroduksi D. blumei.  Fenologi D. blumei diamat i selama satu tahun (Mei 2015 sampai Mei 2016) menggunakan 30 sampel tanaman di Kebun Raya “Eka Karya”Bali. Beberapa sampel menghasilkan daun steril dan fertil selama pengamatan.  Fase fenologi meliputi munculnya daun, perkembangan daun, daun dewasa yang ditandai adanya spora, daun layu dan terbentuknya spora matang hingga lepasnya spora. Jumlah daun yang berkembang lebih sedikit dibanding jumlah daun yang muncul, dan jumlah daun yang layu lebih sedikit  dibandingkan dengan jumlah daun yang sudah dewasa. Total jumlah hari yang dibutuhkan dari fase daun muncul hingga fase layu adalah 254,31 ± 6,8. Fase perkembangan daun berkorelasi negat if dengan suhu, sementara fase daun layu berkorelasi posit if dengan curah hujan. Namun, produksi daun dan pembentukan spora tidak dipengaruhi oleh faktor iklim atau variasi musiman.
