Along with the proof, we provide a method for constructing the desired homometric sets. Traffic balancing entails fair bandwidth distribution along with efficient service provisioning, inaugurating a challenging tradeoff between the system throughput and fairness. In this paper, the downlink scheduling effectiveness in modern passive optical networks (PONs) is examined, adopting the ten-gigabit passive optical network (XG-PON) architecture deployed in a tree topology. Considering that the tree topology implies a broadcast nature of data delivering in the downlink direction, the tradeoff between the efficiency and fairness becomes even more compelling, bearing in mind that the distance the broadcast data propagate between the source and users' destination is highly differentiated. In order to remedy this situation two effective scheduling schemes are proposed, namely the shortest propagation processing time (SPPT) and the shortest weighted propagation processing time (SWPPT). The well-known PID is the integer order controller chosen whereas the generalized PID and the CRONE (“Commande Robuste d'Ordre Non Entier” which stands for fractional order robust controller) are the fractional order controllers studied. Another big difference between these controllers is that the structure of the PID and the generalized PIλDμ is a priori fixed whereas the structure of the CRONE is a posteriori deduced from the loop shaping. In this paper, we propose a design for a system that allows mobile users to access discoverable cloudlet servers which can provide them with services and resources on demand. The system involves a cloudlet root server that acts as a directory with which cloudlets register their presence and offered resources, and to which users may direct their requests for mobile services. Cloudlets communicate in order to service the user's requests, by either delegating these requests or by breaking requests into tasks and working on them cooperatively. We provide an experimental evaluation for measuring the delay of user requests and the load on the cloudlets under different scenarios. FCHVs benefit from two energy supply sources. Namely, the proton exchange membrane fuel cells and batteries to supply the power-train demand load. This paper develops an optimized energy management system for FCHVs based on a linear programming technique. This technique will lead to an efficient power splitting between the fuel cell system and the energy storage system to achieve lower hydrogen fuel consumption and operational cost. The TNEP study is approached for a real power system designed based on the Western and South-Western parts of the Romanian Power System. The study is performed considering 3 consumed power evolution scenarios and power transfers. The complete a.c. power flow computing mathematical model has been applied. To solve this problem the particle swarm optimization (PSO) technique (artificial intelligence field) is used. Few practical considerations are presented, followed by the developed software tool. The API provides simple directives with which a programmer can specify parallel or mostly parallel threads in a C/C++ program. In case of inter-thread data dependences, the programmer simply declares these dependences instead of using synchronization directives that serialize the dependent threads execution. The hardware uses the dependences declared by the programmer to split the program execution into disjoint control and data threads that execute concurrently on multiple cooperating latency-tolerant out-of-order cores. We show that the new architecture with its API allows a programmer to parallelize code that is otherwise non-parallelizable with existing parallel programming APIs, such as OpenMP, thus providing better programmability and higher performance. It discusses all important theoretical aspects of applicable balanced antennas, describes the process of computer aided design and simulations, and presents experimental verifications of simulated results.
