In this context, it makes sense to ask ourselves about the degree of penetration of an intercultural perspective among teachers. This work is aimed at examining the Early Education and Primary Education teachers’ perceptions about Intercultural Education, analyzing the influence exerted by the teaching experience in general, the educational experience with students with an immigrant background and the participation to training activities on Intercultural Education. This is a descriptive survey study based on a sample of 368 teachers from Galicia (Spain). Recognizing that the penitentiary treatment is far from offering a few good practices to follow to achieve the social reintegration of the convict, a recognized experience, internationally as good practices, to level therapeutic and educational in the prison is the project of the UTE of Villabona (Asturias, Spain). This need of foundation has gone to developing on a support of notion of conduct the offer of change as a process, far from introducing it in the area of intimidation and incorporating two processes in their understanding (co-responsibility and co-management) and a mechanism for adaptation (confrontation). The work concludes that it is possible another prison, where the penitentiary treatment does not look for a competent and community adjustment to the penitentiary context that gives step to the prison subculture. For this reason, the aim of our study has been improving the student's performance and attitude towards the English language using an adaptive methodology that, in contrast to the traditional one, has allowed a variety of teaching methods and techniques to adequately respond to the diversity of all students.</p><p>From our study it is clear that the adaptive method is the one performing best when using attitudinal and aptitudinal metrics in written and oral expression over time. It is however worth mentioning that improvement in terms of understanding capacity can be observed from the very beginning.</p><p>Already in the first iterations we have opted for the experiments to be truly operational, functional and applicable in the context of everyday English classes for adults. On the theoretical framework implicit theories (Pozo, Scheuer, Pérez Echevarría, Mateos, Martín y De la Cruz, 2006) has been used for data collection dilemmas questionnaire (<em>Cuestionario de dilemas sobre la enseñanza y el aprendizaje</em>) of Pozo et al. (2006) and validated by Vilanova, Mateos-Sanz y García (2011). The objective of this paper is to retrieve and analyze in an exploratory way the main theoretical sources that contributed to the definition of this construct;<span></span> among others, contributions of Philosophy of Action, Neuropsychology and Cognitive Psychology are retrieved in order to value the semantic richness of the term agency and its diverse definitions and components. The development of the research was carried out in the last quarter of the 2009–2010 academic year. This experiment was performed on two groups of 2nd year of secondary education in two different centers of the Community of Madrid. It was considered essential to ensure the confidentiality and freedom of expression of students. For that reason two mailboxes would be put in each classroom. One of the boxes was used to deposit anonymous writings that would be known by teachers just after the experiment and another, whose content would only be known by teachers after the close of the proceedings with the notes. To find out the opinions of teachers before and after opening the mailbox, interviews would be utilized. The results would show that the topics covered by students mainly focus on the process of teaching and learning and the professor. In both respects the notes expressed numerous complaints and proposals. Teachers were disappointed by the results. A total of 447 obligatory secondary education students participated in this study. The results suggest a positive link between elaboration strategies and scores on Social Sciences and Mathematics; while performance in English Language or Natural Sciences could depend more heavily on basic strategies such as selection. On the other hand, planning can relate positively to academic performance in Social Sciences, Spanish Language or Mathematics and monitoring can be a useful resource in the areas of Spanish Language or Natural Sciences. In general, results suggested that high learning goals and the desire to obtain a decent job in the future are associated with the best academic achievement in most of subjects.
