The objective of this paper is to retrieve and analyze in an exploratory way the main theoretical sources that contributed to the definition of this construct;<span></span> among others, contributions of Philosophy of Action, Neuropsychology and Cognitive Psychology are retrieved in order to value the semantic richness of the term agency and its diverse definitions and components.
