Evidently, the COVID-19 pandemic has produced detrimental social and psychological impact on the mental health of the vast populations especially the elderly. . This study sought to assess the knowledge resources and mental health needs of the elderly emerging from COVID-19 Pandemic of the elderly population at Babcock University in Southwest Nigeria. \u0000Methods: A total of 196 consenting elders resident at Babcock University were enrolled in an online survey at Babcock University to assess the mental health needs of the elderly during the COVID-19 pandemic. Hypotheses were tested using bivariate analysis at 0.05 level of significance. \u0000Results: Majority [104 (58.4%)] of the elderly respondents are between the age bracket 60-64 and [51 (28.7%)] for the age bracket 65-74 years old. The respondents' top four needs during the pandemic are financial aid [108 (60.7%)], social support [41 (23.0%)], the presence of a caregiver [24 (13.5%)], and housing [5 (2.8%)]. The respondents' social condition might be summarized as follows: minimal social interaction with others, leaving them socially isolated [61 (34.3%)] and insufficient social contact with others [53 (29.8%)]. There was a significant relationship between knowledge and emotional state during the pandemic (p <0.05). \u0000Conclusion/Recommendation: Given the respondents' emotional state and other mental health problems that come with age, this study has supplied information about potential services that the elderly may find valuable. Government organizations and other partners should design planned interventions for the elderly throughout this period of life.

Primarily, “menstruation” is very private. In some societies, it is still a taboo and degrading practice; employed women do not like to discuss it with their employers, mainly (who are men). The present study examines the legal framework and challenges of menstrual leave in the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, and Afghanistan. The existing article ponders three specific research questions: Is the menstrual leave a blessing or a curse? Should employ women be entitled to period leave under an Islamic regime? How effective are the legal frameworks and the regulatory types of laws in the above three states? The study is employed doctrinal legal research in which normative approaches were to evaluate the literature to acquire the required legal propositions. The literature gathered and used in this study will include secondary, primary, and legal documents. This qualitative exploration aims to analyse the national principles on recognising menstrual policy, which is scarce. This is unlike the situation in Indonesia, Russia and Spain. To cope up with such scarcity, this study mined any type of relevant statutes that the UAE, Kuwait and Afghanistan have enacted and published, including written (manifestos, books, and articles on labour issues. Furthermore, the study is limited to the legal system of the aforementioned states. The study is expected to help women empowerment, create legal awareness, highlight right health in the light of right under the statutory laws.

The aim of the present study was to provide an epidemiological report on the transmission of COVID-19 Cases in primary, preparatory, and secondary schools in Al Bayda city. \u0000Methods: A cross-sectional survey was conducted from the 3rd to the 16th of March 2021. A non-probability sample of schools was included based on school health surveillance reports on suspected cases in 33 schools. From each school, 8 students and 2 staff members have been randomly selected with priority to any symptomatic person. The resultant sample consisted of 264 students, and 66 staff members. Data were collected on age, sex, class, and symptoms of COVID-19. A rapid antigen test was performed as a diagnostic test for COVID-19 to detect the presence of a viral antigen. The specimen was taken from the upper nasopharyngeal swab. A polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test further confirmed every positive rapid antigen test. \u0000Results: Out of 330 participants tested, two specimens were positive from students and one sample was positive from staff members. Two male infected students were detected by the Ag rapid test from different schools. Whereas, one positive case among staff members was female. The infected students reported no symptoms. In contrast, the infected teacher-reported symptoms of Fever, Cough, Shortness of Breath, and Muscle or body aches. \u0000Conclusion: This survey highlights epidemiological concern about COVID-19 among students and staff members in the school settings in Al Bayda and reflects the community transmission in the city. Therefore, prevention policies should be implemented to prevent further school and community outbreaks.

Because protein-rich foods are thought to be a rich reservoir for this bacterium, 55 samples were randomly collected from various outlets in Baghdad between November 2021 and January 2022 and analyzed using standard isolation protocols of food microbiology with some modification processing by the authors to determine the presence of multidrug-resistant Staphylococcus aureus in yogurt and ice cream retailed in our markets. There were 28 (50.9%) isolates of S. aureus, of which 12 (42.9%) were confirmed as MRSA, 8 (47.1%) were raw yogurt derivatives, and 4 (36.4%) were ice cream derivatives. As a result, it is suggested that MRSA is present in local food goods in Baghdad marketplaces, and it is advised that these products be monitored frequently to ensure the safety of the public.

The diagnostic method used for the analysis of malaria were Rapid diagnostic test kit (RDT) and microscopy diagnostic method, which are Field stain and Giemsa stain. The positivity rate of RDT was (12%), Field stain (88%) and Giemsa stain (94%). Typhoid fever was diagnosed using widal test and stool culture test. The results showed that age group 1-10 had the highest malaria prevalence of 70% followed by age group 21-30 with prevalence of 10%. The positive result for typhoid fever widal test is 63.3% while for stool culture is 90%. \u0000Conclusion: The result of the study shows that children are more prevalent to malaria. Therefore, laboratory personnels should not depend solely on widal test, but rather they should employ other diagnostic method such as stool culture which can differentiate salmonella infections from other infections for more diagnostic test result. \u0000In diagnosis of analysing malaria and typhoid, microscopy and stool culture are more accurate and reliable.

The mHealth for cervical cancer used mass messaging and was implemented to complement already existing interventions aimed at increasing knowledge levels and the number of women accessing screening services. \u0000Methods: A concurrent mixed methods design was used. Quantitative data was collected using telephone interviews with both women and men to whom text messages on cervical cancer screening had been sent. The qualitative data was collected using focus group discussions and key informant interviews, and focused on the implementation process as well as the perceptions and experiences of the users. Qualitative data was analyzed using thematic analysis while quantitative data was analyzed using descriptive statistics (proportions). \u0000Results: From the 990 (473 men and 517 women) participants sampled in the survey, only 46% of the women and 34% of men had received the short message services (SMSs). The SMSs resulted into 14% (72) of women going for screening for the first time, and 4% (22) for follow-up screening, totaling 18% (94). The intervention was described as appropriate because it resulted in more awareness about cervical cancer; and the frequency, time of day of transmission, the language and content of the SMSs were perceived good. The challenges experienced include low number of SMSs successfully delivered to the target population (50%), and the high cost of transmission. \u0000Conclusion: Despite the challenges experienced, the mCervical cancer intervention showed moderate effectiveness in reaching women and encouraging them to go for first time and follow-up screening.

It involves the mutual interactions between the nuclear and mitochondrial genomes delivering asymmetric but equally necessary gene expression libraries that are mediated through proteome subcellular distribution via the lipid endomembranous system. There is a superimposed annotating epigenetic tailoring mechanism involving epi-transcriptional authorship, reading, and processing that must be in dynamic and kinetic communication for signaling, bioenergetics and cell fate. This mechanism requires substrates from intermediary metabolism to be used in covalent modification of DNA, RNA, and polypeptides via coordinated lipid membrane raft trafficking to support the endomembranous network.

Understanding the spread pattern of COVID-19 and predicting the disease dynamics have been inevitable to support government in the public and private health fields in setting up strategies for alleviating the dire seriousness of the pandemic around the World. The spread of infectious disease and the resulting population dynamics could be modeled and simulated by extending the classic "forest-fire" model with an introduction of 3 model parameters of p, q, r that control the probability of infection, immunity, and spread. Then, by applying the mathematical model of damped harmonic oscillation from physics, the effect of these parameters on the amplitude and frequency of oscillations of an epidemic could be characterized. We concluded that this model could predict a wide range of behaviors including Covid-10 that could aid epidemiologists and policymakers. Further study might be required for practical application.

High through put analysis such as Real-Time Quantitative Reverse Transcription Polymerase Chain Reaction (qRT-PCR), Microarray, Proteomics, Nano-strings and Next generation Sequencing (NGS) are normally employed to ascertain the level of damage cause by the drugs at molecular level. As such the expression levels of the genes can be determined, whether they are up regulated or down regulated, and compared the fold change with samples of the control group. The up regulation or down regulation of gene due to chemotherapy is an indicator of anomaly in a particular gene, and that can lead to the malfunction of the affected gene. The up regulation of gland secretion gene can lead to over secretion of hormone and also down regulation can lead to under secretion, and the overall biological process taking place in body can be halt and some biological functions can be obstructed. This review is aimed at investigating the impact of anti-tuberculosis drugs on the expression of cytochrome-associated genes, and to elaborate how some of the physiological processes of the body are affected by the up regulated or down regulated genes.
