The estimation of multiple users in the presence of I/Q imbalances is performed by Blind Source Separation (BSS) methods. While the complex-valued signal model for multi-antenna QAM receivers does not lend itself to BSS due to the effect of I/Q imbalances, reformulating the signal model to a real-valued equivalent form enables the application of BSS. The proposed method enables multiple users to share the same bandwidth simultaneously in different geographical locations, and avoids the need for the knowledge of the channel state information. In addition, despite of the presence of I/Q imbalances in all receiver branches, the number of antenna required in the receiver is equal to the number of users. Computer simulations are conducted using the popular Fast-ICA (Independent Component Analysis) algorithm, and the simulation results confirmed the effectiveness of the proposed technique.","PeriodicalId":92209,"journal":{"name":"IEEE International Conference on Electro Information Technology : [proceedings]. There is a critical need for cost-effective, reliable, and fairly accurate solutions to meet the demands of indoor robotic applications. Currently, researchers are exploring various approaches for this problem. The one we are presenting in this paper is based on QR (Quick Response) codes to provide location references for mobile robots. The mobile robot is equipped with a Smartphone that is programmed to detect and read information on QR codes that are strategically placed in the operating environment of the robot. The mobile robot can perform the autonomous run throughout the guide route by using real-time QR code recognition. The lab information on QR code is played to the visitors using Text-to-Speech provided through Android device. Ultrasonic range sensors which can detect objects and measure distances with high accuracy are used to implement the wall-following and obstacle-avoidance behaviors. The collected sonar range information by ultrasonic range sensors is processed by a microcontroller that autonomously controls a tour guide robot. An algorithm based on a proportional-integral-derivative (PID) control is applied to the tour guide robot to perform more accurate robot motion control. A Bluetooth technology is used to send stored information on QR codes from the Smartphone to the tour guide robot wirelessly. The experimental setup of the tour guide robot along with the successful implementation of the efficient method for a navigation technique is presented.","PeriodicalId":92209,"journal":{"name":"IEEE International Conference on Electro Information Technology : [proceedings]. This paper looks into fractional order controller for Interior Permanent Magnet motors. The interior permanent magnet motors have become more demanding in hybrid vehicles, for which the parameter (resistance, inductance, magnetization of permanent magnets) drift is a common cause of degradation of drive due to rise in ambient temperature. The fractional PI/PID controller, which has five degree of freedoms, compared to classical PI/PID which have three degree of freedoms. This paper presents the simulations of fractional order controller (PI) based on fractional order calculus, for robust speed control of the Interior permanent magnet motors. The fractional order controller is compared with the well-tuned PI controller. The analysis constitutes the big range of parameters drift of the motor, to compensate the range of actual drift in the parameters.","PeriodicalId":92209,"journal":{"name":"IEEE International Conference on Electro Information Technology : [proceedings]. Our design utilizes an Android smartphone to integrate and process multiple body sensor data to enhance the reliability for remote health diagnosis. Various sensor data such as body temperature, current geographical location, electrocardiography, body posture and fall detection data are collected using concurrent Bluetooth connections to the Android smartphone. Our Android application software is designed to handle real-time analysis of collected sensor data to determine current user status, such as instant heart beat rate, body orientation and possible fall recognition. With the help of the Internet connection on the Android smartphone, the system communicates with a remote server and a designated contact person to log sensor data, and to notify authorized professionals in case of an emergency situation. Our system is highly valuable for remote and mobile patient monitoring and diagnosis. This design flow can be extended to condition assessments in various environments and it is not limited to body temperature, current geographical location, electrocardiography, body posture and fall detection.","PeriodicalId":92209,"journal":{"name":"IEEE International Conference on Electro Information Technology : [proceedings]. Automated or semi-automated, similarity-based approaches allow rapid computer forensics analysis of large data sets with less focus on untangling many layers of abstraction. Rapid and automated ranking of data by its value to a computer forensics investigation eliminates much of the human effort required in the computer forensics process, leaving investigators to judge and specify what data is interesting, and automating the rest of analysis. In this paper, we develop two algorithms that find portions of a string relevant to an investigation, then refine that portion using a combination of human and computer analysis to rapidly and effectively extract the most useful data from the string, speeding, automatically documenting, and partially automating analysis.","PeriodicalId":92209,"journal":{"name":"IEEE International Conference on Electro Information Technology : [proceedings]. According to this system model relays cooperatively collaborate with the sources to transmit the space time code to the destination. Process of the transmission consists of two phases. In the first time phase source broadcast the information to the destination and relay. In the next time phase, the source and relay cooperatively send signals to the destination by using an embedded space time coding. Structure of embedded space time code is based on singular value decomposition of circulant matrix. Relays are assumed to be non-regenerative amplify-and-forward. Theoretical analysis for calculating the bit error rate (BER) has been done based on maximum ratio combining (MRC). Simulation results for the case of one relay, one source and destination through the Rayleigh fading channel has been done and compared with the scenario when transmitter and relay used the Alamouti code.","PeriodicalId":92209,"journal":{"name":"IEEE International Conference on Electro Information Technology : [proceedings]. On the other hand, with larger number of gates, the static current decreases. Minimum static power dissipation can be achieved with high number of gates and a lesser number of fins.","PeriodicalId":92209,"journal":{"name":"IEEE International Conference on Electro Information Technology : [proceedings].
