This paper presents detailed information about how to use the flocking techniques to control a group of embedded controlled systems “Boids” such as ground systems (robotic vehicles/ swarm robots) in 2D and/or aerial systems (quadrotors) in 3D. Each one of these systems moves inside/outside of a building collectively to reach a target. This paper presents flocking behavior implemented on a server based control, which will process each of the boids properties e.g. position, speed & target. Subsequently the server will assign the appropriatee move to a specific boid. The calculated information will be used locally to control and direct the movements/flocking for each boid in the group. A simulation technique and detailed flow chart is presented. In addition to the famous Reynolds' Rules for flocking two other rules are presented; one for targeting and another for avoiding obstacles. The targeting rule was implemented to ensure that the flock moves collectively towards a common target; it was implemented by creating a target velocity parameter. The avoiding obstacles rule was implemented to ensure that the flock doesnt collide with obstacles that they could be in the path; it was implemented by creating an avoiding velocity parameter.","PeriodicalId":92209,"journal":{"name":"IEEE International Conference on Electro Information Technology : [proceedings]. The process variation effects cause undesired behavior of the circuit as transistor dimensions decrease. This work makes an effort to understand the importance of routing in FPGAs and its impact on the performance of nanometer scale FPGAs. Lifetime failure of FPGAs can be detected by observing the variation in the delay performance from newly developed or developing faults. In this paper, we develop models of interconnect and switching networks that enhance delay estimation. Circuit simulations performed using these models are compared with the timing simulation results from Xilinx development tools.","PeriodicalId":92209,"journal":{"name":"IEEE International Conference on Electro Information Technology : [proceedings]. Five maximum consecutive samples in each voiced or unvoiced segments are located and are embedded with a watermark using a key. Voiced segment embedding has better performance in robustness and imperceptibility while the unvoiced segment embedding has higher payload. Both of the proposed methods are better on imperceptibility, as measured by enhanced modified Bark spectrum distortion, and have higher robustness to embedded data under noise-added conditions compared to a similar bit modification method.","PeriodicalId":92209,"journal":{"name":"IEEE International Conference on Electro Information Technology : [proceedings]. Now there is a commercial interest in using RFID to provide real-time localization. Efforts to use RFID technology for this purpose experience localization errors due to noise and non-line-of-sight effects inherent to these environments. This paper presents the use of both linear and non-linear Kalman filters to reduce error effects inherent to real-time RFID localization systems and provide more accurate localization results in indoor environments. A commercial RFID localization system designed for use by the construction industry is used in this work, and a mathematical model and approach are developed. The model is tested with real-world data and shown to provide an increase in localization accuracy when applied to both raw distance difference of arrival measurements as well as final trilateration results.","PeriodicalId":92209,"journal":{"name":"IEEE International Conference on Electro Information Technology : [proceedings]. In most of these techniques, the hidden information being undetectable by a third party is very important. Some of them try to overcome this issue by using a key which transfers through a different secure channel. In addition, less distortion in cover image after image hiding which leads to a more safe communication is also highly desired. This paper presents a novel image hiding method based on Chinese Remainder Theorem (CRT). This method not only is secure from a third party attack by using an undetectable key, but also has the least distortion in cover image in comparison with some other related methods.","PeriodicalId":92209,"journal":{"name":"IEEE International Conference on Electro Information Technology : [proceedings]. At first, we use Total Variation (TV) filtering technique to improve the Signal to Noise Ratio (SNR) and remove the noise in the input image. Following this step, an encoding scheme along with genetic operation is designed to track the targets. To avoid missing any tracks, the individual preservation method is introduced to maintain more promising candidate tracks. Target trajectories are then confirmed by a multi-stage hypothesis testing scheme. The simulation results show that the proposed scheme can efficiently detect and track small targets with an SNR value under 2db.","PeriodicalId":92209,"journal":{"name":"IEEE International Conference on Electro Information Technology : [proceedings]. Although this method can get decision results with lower cost, there are some limitations in practical application for default considering the benefits of correct classification. This article defines the conception of correct classification benefit, and then builds a novel decision tree based on cost and benefit dual-sensitive (CBDSDT). In order to obtain the best classification result with lower cost and higher benefit, our method takes into account the test cost, misclassification cost, attribute information and correct classification benefit. Experiments demonstrate that our method has better usability and stability.","PeriodicalId":92209,"journal":{"name":"IEEE International Conference on Electro Information Technology : [proceedings]. Hadoop, an open-source implementation of the MapReduce parallel programming model developed by Google, has emerged as a powerful platform for performing large-scale scientific computing at very low costs. In this paper, we explore the use of Hadoop to model large-scale neural networks. A neural network is most naturally modeled by a graph structure with iterative processing. In this paper, we first present an improved graph algorithm design pattern in MapReduce called Mapper-side Schimmy. Experiments show that the application of our design pattern, combined with the current best practices, can reduce the running time of the neural network simulation on a neural network with 100,000 neurons and 2.3 billion edges by 64%. MapReduce, however, is inherently not efficient for iterative graph processing. To address the limitation of the MapReduce model, we then explore the use of Giraph, an open source large-scale graph processing framework that sits on top of Hadoop to implement graph algorithms with a vertex-centric approach. We show that our Giraph implementation boosted performance by 91% compared to a basic MapReduce implementation and by 60% compared to our improved Mapper-side Schimmy algorithm.","PeriodicalId":92209,"journal":{"name":"IEEE International Conference on Electro Information Technology : [proceedings].
