By theoretical analysis of the energy function of a feed-forward neural network, the paper points out that a least square energy function isn't a good choice. The main idea of WLA is to find a highly accurate classification rule by combining many weak hypotheses, each of which may be only moderately accurate. We used a separate procedure, called the weak learner, to compute the weak hypotheses, and found a set of weak hypotheses by calling the weak learner repeatedly in a series of rounds. These weak hypotheses were then combined into a single rule called the final hypothesis, and the final hypothesis ranked the possible labels for a given document with the hope that the appropriate labels would appear at the top of the ranking. Using the three designed evaluation measures - ordinary-error, average-coverage and average-precision - our experiments show that the performance of WLA is generally better than the other algorithms on the same dataset.","PeriodicalId":90702,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings. The base of this regulator is a direct digital predictive loop which has a very good dynamic performance, but the steady state performance will heavily depend on the accuracy of the model structure and plant's parameters. To reduce the steady errors and compensate the system uncertainties, a feedforward control loop and a fuzzy logic algorithm are introduced. The direct digital predictive loop with the feedforward loop, which can be seen as a hybrid current regulator, generates the command voltage based on the nominal system conditions, guarantees the system with a very fast dynamic response and a smaller system error. The fuzzy logic algorithm, by measuring the amplitude and phase angle of the system error, generates a modifying signal to correct the gains of the direct digital predictive loop and the feedforward loop. When the difference between the reference and actual signals is larger than a given threshold, therefore it minimizes the effects of system uncertainties. Simulation results are presented to verify the effectiveness of the current regulation algorithm.","PeriodicalId":90702,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings. First, it is very difficult to describe the complex type data by a general knowledge representation method. So we use the pattern which is defined as the vector in Hilbert space to represent the characteristic of complex type data. It also can be used to describe the rule of knowledge discovery. Secondly, we construct the general structure model based on complex type data-DFSSM (discovery feature sub-space model) followed by research on the inner mechanism of a knowledge discovery system. An affine transformation model is used to describe the background image movement and two methods are given to find the affine transformation model parameters. The affine transformation is used to check the matching performance of the two frames and subsequently a subtraction operation based on block difference is performed for scene change detection. In order to finalize the detecting result, a series of image processing operations, including the adaptive threshold, morphological dilation and erosion operation, and region labeling have to be performed. Several experiments are given to show that the proposed algorithm is efficient.","PeriodicalId":90702,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings.
