Scientists continue to conduct research in a quest to find the catalysts that provoke these changes in the naturally occurring microbiota. Bacterial Vaginosis (BV) is a disease that fits the above criteria. BV afflicts approximately 29% of women in child bearing age. Unfortunately, its causes are unknown. This paper seeks to uncover the most important features for diagnosis and in turn employ classification algorithms on those features. In order to fulfill our purpose, we conducted two experiments on the data. We isolated the clinical and medical features from the full set of raw data, we compared the accuracy, precision, recall and F-measure and time elapsed for each feature selection and classification grouping. We noticed that classification results were as good or better after performing feature selection although there was a wide range in the number of features produced from the feature selection process. After comparing the experiments, the algorithms performed best on the medical dataset.</p>","PeriodicalId":90702,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings. However, the interpretation and application of the OCT images are limited by the ubiquitous noise. In this paper, a denoising algorithm based on contourlet transform for the OCT heart tube image is proposed. A bivariate function is constructed to model the joint probability density function (pdf) of the coefficient and its cousin in contourlet domain. A bivariate shrinkage function is deduced to denoise the image by the maximum a posteriori (MAP) estimation. Three metrics, signal-to-noise ratio (SNR), contrast-to-noise ratio (CNR) and equivalent number of look (ENL), are used to evaluate the denoised image using the proposed algorithm. The results show that the signal-to-noise ratio is improved while the edges of object are preserved by the proposed algorithm. Systemic comparisons with other conventional algorithms, such as mean filter, median filter, RKT filter, Lee filter, as well as bivariate shrinkage function for wavelet-based algorithm are conducted. The advantage of the proposed algorithm over these methods is illustrated.</p>","PeriodicalId":90702,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings. How to effectively extend it for multiclass classification is still an ongoing research issue. There exist several methods to construct a multiclass classifier by combing several binary classifiers, such as \"one-against-one\", \"one-against-all\" and directed acyclic graph SVM. In the paper we give a new method to combine several binary classifiers other than the above three methods. Our idea is to cluster the samples into two classes, and then classify them. Based on this idea, we present the concept of multistage support vector machine. A comparison between our proposed method with the other three methods is conducted on the Iris database. This paper describes an algorithm using the predictive control theory based on a vehicle systematic dynamical model described by Hatwal et al. Under our simulation environment, only one automatic car runs on the virtual roads. The car can change its velocity and other parameters to satisfy the need of safe automatic drive while driving according to the circumstance of the fore road. The closed-loop system. consists of two loops. One loop is the inner loop, in which the feedback control actions are up-dated at each sampling period. The inner loop is used to stabilize the open-loop system and provide robustness. The other loop is an outer loop, in which the Fourier series-based learning control actions are up-dated at each pass. The outer loop is designed to overcome unmodeled dynamics. The global stability condition of the closed-loop nonlinear control system has been given.
