The active ingredient in the mold, which Fleming named penicillin, turned out to be an infection-fighting agent of enormous potency'' A revolutionary development in science is a change in the way scientists perceive a certain idea or belief. The finding of Penicillin by Alexander Fleming in 1928 was a revolutionary development in the field of science. The discovery revolutionized the way infections were treated as well as impacted the scientific field, the medical field, the pharmaceuticals industry, and all humanity. Alexander Fleming's discovery of Penicillin sparked the development of antibiotics, which has continued to save People's lives since the revolution, making him a revolutionary figure. Despite the fact that Fleming was not only solely responsible for the revolutionary development, it was also his discovery of Penicillin that led to the development of antibiotics. In October 1945 Alexander Fleming, Howard Florey, and Ernest Chain each received an almost identical telegram from Stockholm, Sweden. The Nobel prize committee, these messages read, was pleased to inform the three British - based scientists that they had been awarded the Nobel prize for Medicine, for the discovery of Penicillin and its curative action in various disease1. This was not surprising news, In Fact, a year earlier, two major newspapers had informed their readers that Fleming would receive the prestigious award in 19442. Although reporters' stories were a year a hand of their time, they were right that the global scientific community had generally agreed that the world's first antibiotics were a landmark in medical history worthy of Nobel prize recognition. While the committee's decision to award the Nobel prize to the scientists who had developed penicillin was not controversial, the precise choice of whom to award the prize to was more fraught. The uncertainty arose because of the long and complicated process of drug development. The story began in 1928 when Alexander Fleming a Scottish bacteriologist working at St. Mary's Hospital Medical school in London, noticed that a specific strain of mold, Penicillium notatum, inhibited the growth of bacteria setting out to understand more about the mold s unusual properties, Fleming conducted additional experiments concluded that the antibiotics solution that he had made from the mold into a useable drug, convinced that further research on the substance would not be fruitful, Fleming turned to other matters. For a decade, Fleming's discovery attracted little attention then in 1938, two scientists working at the University of Oxford's Sir William Dunn School of Pathology. Howard Flory, an Australian Pathologist, and Ernest Chain, a German biochemist began researching a selection of antibacterial compounds. Over the next two years, chain and Florey, a","PeriodicalId":8537,"journal":{"name":"Asian Journal of Pharmaceutical Research","volume":"62 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-03-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"89931235","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The most prevalent brain tumors are intracranial metastases from systemic cancers, meningiomas, and gliomas, specifically, glioblastoma. Central nervous system metastases may occur anywhere along the neuroaxis, and require complex multidisciplinary care with neurosurgery, radiation oncology, and medical oncology. Meningiomas are tumors of the meninges, mostly benign and often managed by surgical resection, with radiation therapy and chemotherapy reserved for high-risk or refractory disease. Glioblastoma is the most common and aggressive malignant primary brain tumor, with a limited response to standard-of-care concurrent chemoradiation. This review addresses the specific contributions of nuclear medicine techniques, and especially positron emission tomography (PET), for diagnosis and management of brain tumors. F-Fluorodeoxyglucose PET has particular strengths in predicting prognosis and differentiating cerebral lymphoma from nonmalignant lesions. Amino acid tracers including C-methionine, F-fluoroethyltyrosine, and F-L-3,4-dihydroxyphenylalanine provide high sensitivity, which is most useful for detecting recurrent or residual gliomas, including most low-grade gliomas. They also play an increasing role for planning and monitoring of therapy. F-fluorothymidine can only be used in tumors with absent or broken blood–brain barrier and has potential for tumor grading and monitoring of therapy. Ligands for somatostatin receptors are of particular interest in pituitary adenomas and meningiomas. Tracers to image neovascularization, hypoxia, and phospholipid synthesis are under investigation for potential clinical use.","PeriodicalId":8537,"journal":{"name":"Asian Journal of Pharmaceutical Research","volume":"18 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-03-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"85590044","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Published by the International Organization for Standardization, it aims to encourage the production of goods and services that meet a globally-acceptable level of quality. ISO 9000 is a quality management standard that presents guidelines intended to increase business efficiency and customer satisfaction. The goal of ISO 9000 is to embed a quality management system within an organization, increasing productivity, reducing unnecessary costs, and ensuring quality of processes and products.ISO 9000 was first published in 1987 by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). It was based on the BS 5750 series of standards from BSI that were proposed to ISO in 1979.. ISO 9000 is defined as a set of international standards on quality management and quality assurance developed to help companies effectively document the quality system elements needed to maintain an efficient quality system. They are not specific to any one industry and can be applied to organizations of any size. They are issued by certification/registration bodies (also called Registrars or CB's), which are independent of ISO. CB's need to be accredited by an IAF member to be internationally recognized. ISO 9001 supports you to increase the control of your business processes. The more you control your business, the more your consistency rises. Increased consistency means your customers are getting the same good service or same good products every time they are making business with you. ISO 9000 aims to improve quality and facilitate business objectives.","PeriodicalId":8537,"journal":{"name":"Asian Journal of Pharmaceutical Research","volume":"40 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-03-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"84114846","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

New areas such as nanocosmetics and nanocosmeceuticals are emerging to grow this market. Cosmeceuticals are the cosmetic products which incorporates the biologically active ingredients which have therapeutic effects on the surface being applied. The primary goal of this review paper is to deliver a critical and comprehensive discussion on the role of nanomaterials in modern cosmetic science. This text includes an interpretation of the data underlying generic information reported on the product labels of formulations already available in the marketplace, information that often lacks details identifying specific components of the product, especially when nanomaterials are employed. It is not new news for cosmetic companies that nanotechnology is the way of the future and it is considered to be the most popular and developing technology available. For providing better and better UV protection, long lasting effects, deeper skin penetration, and increased colour and finish quality the cosmetic developers are using nanoscale versions of ingredients.","PeriodicalId":8537,"journal":{"name":"Asian Journal of Pharmaceutical Research","volume":"143 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-03-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"83786083","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It is estimated that it will soon surpass the deaths caused by HIV.BCG is the only vaccine available to prevent TB, however it is not effective in case of adult pulmonary TB which is actually the most common type of TB. The currently used treatment regimen in most developing countries is a single tablet with fixed dose combination of four drugs- Isoniazid (INH), Rifampicin, Ethambutol and Pyrazinamide which are 1st line anti-tubercular drugs. This combination reduces the risk of development of multi-drug resistant (MDR) Mycobacterium. But this drug combination is known to have various severe side-effects, which if not taken into consideration might lead to fatal reactions. MDR-TB treatment involves the use of 2nd line drugs which are less potent and more toxic compared to 1st line drugs. Increasing number of MDR strains of mycobacterium and failure of these conventional regimens to treat them is a huge challenge. Also, these side-effects associated with anti-TB drugs are a major reason for patient non-compliance and non-adherence to the treatment. Treatment discontinuation leads to increased risk of mortality and morbidity due to TB. Thus, it is very important to develop new therapeutic approaches towards the treatment of this disease which provide a better cure without relapse, lesser side-effects and prevents formation of drug resistant strains. The article reviews the various side-effects associated with the Anti-Tubercular drugs that are currently used and discusses certain newer, nanoparticle-basedapproaches to overcome the shortcomings of the current conventional therapy.","PeriodicalId":8537,"journal":{"name":"Asian Journal of Pharmaceutical Research","volume":"25 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-03-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"81215485","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The study involved different excipients which were used for the formulation and tested for their compatibility with Levocetirizine Dihydrochloride by the FT-IR studies. Based on the results of FT-IR studies, most of the excipients were found to be compatible with Levocetirizine which was used for the preparation of Levocetirizine oral disintegrating tablets. Levocetirizine Dihydrochloride is bitter in taste so the Tulsian-339 (ion exchange resin) was used to mask the taste to formulate an orodispersible dosage formulation using drug resin complex. Nine batches (F1-F9) of oro dispersible tablets of Levocetirizine Dihydrochloride were prepared by using super disintegrants like Sodium starch glycolate, Avicel PH102 and Low Hydroxy Propyl Cellulose in variable concentrations along with excipients for the development of optimized formulation. All formulations were subjected to evaluation studies of drug content, weight variation, water absorption ratio, wetting time, in vitro disintegration, dispersion time, hardness, friability and thickness uniformity. The tablets were disintegrated in vitro within 28-38 seconds, the complete drug was released from the tablets within 15 min. The results showed that Levocetirizine dihydrochloride was successfully formulated into an orodispersible dosage form.","PeriodicalId":8537,"journal":{"name":"Asian Journal of Pharmaceutical Research","volume":"47 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-03-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"79532024","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Sildenafil was the first effective oral treatment available for ED. Because PDE5 is also present in the smooth muscle of the walls of the arterioles within the lungs, two PDE5 inhibitors, sildenafil and tadalafil, are FDA-approved for the treatment of pulmonary hypertension.
