The prevalence of diabetes has increased significantly due to dietary and lifestyle choices. Novel therapeutic approaches have been investigated to control diabetes and mitigate the dangers related to current medication. Advanced microspheres have been created by certain researchers recently, either for the delivery of insulin and anti-diabetic medications or for diagnostic use. The creation of controlled or sustained delivery products with a quick start of action and enhanced bioavailability is made possible by these microspheres. The purpose of this study is to present an overview of diabetes, contemporary treatments, innovative drug delivery methods specifically, microballoons and previously developed microballoons for anti-diabetic medications. There is much promise for incorporating novel approaches in the diagnosis and treatment of diabetes with microballoons. There may still be issues with these approaches' scalability and practical applications that need to be resolved.","PeriodicalId":8533,"journal":{"name":"Asian Journal of Pharmaceutical Education and Research","volume":"5 2","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-01-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140507739","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Conventional methods have established the groundwork, but progress is necessary to surmount their constraints. This thorough analysis delves into the novel field of invasomes, a kind of vesicular carriers intended to improve medication delivery across biological barriers. An outline of conventional medication administration methods is given at the outset of the paper, highlighting the necessity of cutting edge techniques. It introduces vesicular carriers, focusing on the well-established liposomes, and traces the evolution towards invasomes. The distinctive features of invasomes specifically, their invasiveness are emphasized, tackling the crucial difficulty of attaining therapeutic concentrations at target locations. The dissection of the structure and content of invasomes highlights the importance of surfactants, lipid composition, and other components that contribute to their increased penetrating capacities. A particular focus is on the malleable character of invasomes, which allows them to effectively pass through biological membranes and narrow spaces. There is discussion of several techniques for preparing invasomes, such as freeze drying, ether injection, thin film hydration, and reverse phase evaporation. Researchers can choose the best strategies based on specific requirements by comparing various methods and seeing how they affect invasome features. The review explores various analytical techniques for characterizing invasomes, such as high-performance liquid chromatography, differential scanning calorimetry, particle size, spectroscopy, and microscopy. The successful use of these strategies in medication delivery can be attributed to their insights into invasive characteristics. Success stories in dermatology, cancer therapy, ocular drug delivery, infectious diseases, vaccines, neurological disorders, and cardiovascular therapies are highlighted as the broad range of therapeutic areas in which invasomes are applied are examined. The encouraging results demonstrate how invasomes have the potential to completely transform drug delivery in a variety of medical fields. There is a discussion of the present state and potential future developments of invadesomes in regulatory approval procedures.","PeriodicalId":8533,"journal":{"name":"Asian Journal of Pharmaceutical Education and Research","volume":"22 3","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-01-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140507756","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The developed method utilizes Reverse Phase High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (RP-HPLC) and focuses on stability indication, linearity, precision, and robustness. System suitability parameters, linearity, recovery studies, and forced degradation studies were conducted to validate the method's efficacy. The results indicate a reliable and cost-effective approach for the estimation of avanafil in both bulk and pharmaceutical formulations. The method demonstrates sensitivity, precision, and stability-indicating characteristics, making it a valuable tool for routine quality control processes in the pharmaceutical industry.","PeriodicalId":8533,"journal":{"name":"Asian Journal of Pharmaceutical Education and Research","volume":"10 2","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-01-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140508176","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Moreover, post-operative nausea and vomiting are common side effects. Postoperative nausea and vomiting (PONV) is thought to occur in 25–30% of cases. Furthermore, oral thin films provide accurate and adaptable dosing. Oral films are made easier and more convenient by these qualities, which also have positive medicinal effects. Drugs are rapidly absorbed in the mouth when administered via buccal or sublingual film delivery. This reduces exposure to the gastrointestinal system and addresses issues that are frequently related to tablets and capsules, including first-pass metabolism, gastrointestinal adverse effects, and sluggish or restricted absorption in the GI tract. Consequently, buccal or sublingual films might provide increased patient compliance, decreased adverse effects, and higher absorption. This article provides a thorough understanding of emesis, including its causes, treatments for emesis, innovative oral thin-film drug delivery, its properties, methods for fabrication and assessment, and, finally, previously published research on antiemetic oral thin-film.","PeriodicalId":8533,"journal":{"name":"Asian Journal of Pharmaceutical Education and Research","volume":"23 5","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-01-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140506854","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
