We demonstrate that, under certain reasonable assumptions, the sequences induced by the proposed algorithm converge strongly to a solution of the corresponding problem. In addition, with the help of a numerical example, we demonstrate the efficiency of proposed algorithm. As a result of this paper, some recent well-known results in this area have been improved, generalized, and extended.","PeriodicalId":82310,"journal":{"name":"Philosophic research and analysis","volume":"39 1","pages":"89 - 103"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"80663020","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The study undertaken in this paper is the continuation of a joined work with Lastra published in 2015. A change of balance between the leading and a critical subdominant term of the problem considered in our previous work is performed. It leads to a phenomenon of coalescing singularities to the origin in the Borel plane with respect to time for a finite set of holomorphic solutions constructed as Fourier series in space on horizontal complex strips. In comparison to our former study, an enlargement of the Gevrey order of the asymptotic expansion for these solutions relatively to the complex parameter is induced.","PeriodicalId":82310,"journal":{"name":"Philosophic research and analysis","volume":"94 1","pages":"149 - 191"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-11-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"80700493","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Recent work on proof-theoretic validity has disproven this. In fact, it has been shown that proof-theoretic validity is not even closed under substitution. In this paper, we make a minor modification to the definition of proof-theoretic validity found in Prawitz’s 1973 paper ‘Towards a foundation of a general proof theory’ and refined by Schroeder-Heister in ‘Validity concepts in proof-theoretic semantics’ (2006 ). We will call the new notion generalized proof-theoretic validity and show that the logic of generalized proof-theoretic validity is intuitionistic logic.","PeriodicalId":82310,"journal":{"name":"Philosophic research and analysis","volume":"08 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-11-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"87068051","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

We use an a priori estimate method; the so-called energy inequalities method, based on some functional analysis tools, is developed for a Caputo time fractional of 2 m {2m} -th and ( 2 m + 1 ) {(2m+1)} -th order and the density of the range of the operator generated by the considered problem. Using the Laplace transform and homotopy perturbation, we find a semi-analytical solution. Finally, we give some examples for illustration.","PeriodicalId":82310,"journal":{"name":"Philosophic research and analysis","volume":"1 1","pages":"1 - 13"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-10-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"77274326","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

To defend this answer, Barnett raises an objection against the rival view that tiny contributions never make any difference. I argue that we should reject both Barnett’s and the rival view.
