X-ray diffraction (XRD), transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and magnetic measurements (PPMS) were used to characterize the obtained magnetic system of core-shell nanoparticles. XRD results confirm the existence of γ-Fe2O3 phase as well as show an average diameter of nanoparticles around 10 nm. The obtained particles are superparamagnetic at the room temperature. ZrO2 condensates with two mechanisms - planar and cellular ones like it happens at solidification from liquid phase. ZrO2 condensation on ZrO2 and NiO phases occurs with two different routes. On ZrO2 phase, layer of planar growth is formed with “defective layer by defective layer” mechanism. On NiO, the layer is cellular from the very beginning of the deposition process. The layer of planar growth is formed as “dense layer by dense layer”. Already at low temperatures part of the Li ions enter the hitherto assumed empty octahedra, their amount increasing with temperature. This explains anomalies in the thermal expansion. The phase transition from the ferroelectric to the paraelectric phase proceeds in two steps, complete disordering of Li before Nb reaches its centrosymmetric site within its octahedron. Li is further disordered within the oxygen plane pointing towards relatively strong Li-O bonds. Particularly, the Li<inf>0.12</inf>Na<inf>0.88</inf>Ta<inf>y</inf>Nb<inf>1−y</inf>O<inf>3</inf> solid solution is promising as a material with high superionic conductivity. When x = 0.12 the structure orders in such a way as to make the phase transition to the superionic state possible. Besides, at temperatures 315–350 °C in the Li<inf>0.12</inf>Na<inf>0.88</inf>Ta<inf>y</inf>Nb<inf>1−y</inf>O<inf>3</inf> solid solution the phase transition from ferroelectric to antiferroelectric phase taking place before the superionic one can be observed.
