Employing a narrative research design, the article analyzes semi-structured interviews with 12 social workers from various regions of Ukraine, conducted during February-March 2024. These interviews aimed to collect in-depth personal recollections and experiences related to the impact of the war on social work practice. From the analysis of the gathered information, three key themes were identified: (1) reactions to the onset of the full-scale invasion and actions of social workers; (2) the manifestation of resilience by social institution workers in wartime; (3) lessons and prospects. \u0000The interviews revealed that, in wartime conditions, social workers face unprecedented difficulties, including the loss of documents by clients during evacuation, an increase in the number of vulnerable individuals, and risks to their own lives and health. Despite this, they demonstrate remarkable dedication to their mission, adapting to changing circumstances and continuing to provide essential support and assistance. \u0000The article examines how the military conflict affects the practice of social work, highlighting innovative approaches and adaptation strategies. Special attention is given to the need for developing standardized procedures for crisis situations, the importance of international cooperation and experience exchange, and the role of technology in supporting effective social work. \u0000Given the overall situation, the article offers recommendations for the further development and strengthening of the social work system in Ukraine. It was established that the modern system of professional training of future specialists in the pharmaceutical industry was influenced by the changes that the industry underwent after Ukraine gained independence: a significant reduction in the range and volume of production of domestic pharmaceutical products, orientation towards European standards of professional training of specialists, compliance with the ethical principles of the work of pharmaceutical specialists. It is noted that the Code of Ethics of Pharmaceutical Workers of Ukraine became the basic regulatory regulator of pharmacist professional ethics in Ukraine, but the further development of international legislation requires adaptation of the domestic pharmaceutical education system to its requirements. The article analyzes the key normative documents that determine the deontological and professional standards for the training of pharmaceutical industry specialists. In the context of the study, blended learning is defined as a technology that provides a balanced combination of traditional classroom learning, online and offline self-study, as well as online synchronous interaction for students to master the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities in the shortest possible time for the purpose of effective intercultural communication in typical professional situations. Blended learning involves: practical training in the classroom, synchronous forms (virtual classes, instant messaging), asynchronous forms (joint creation of documents, e-mail, forums). The expediency of using two models of blended learning – the rotational model in the variant of changing stations and the model of flipped learning – is substantiated. The stages of blended learning are allocated: preparatory, aimed at developing lexical, grammatical, phonetic listening and speaking skills, familiarisation with learning and communication strategies, speech formulas inherent in monologue-message and monologue-explanation, as well as dialogue-agreement and dialogue-discussion; receptive-reproductive, aimed at analysing information, developing skills of introductory, selective and detailed listening, skills of prepared spoken production and spoken interaction, skills of using learning and communication strategies; productive, which involves improving communication skills in communication situations using selected communication strategies and tactics. A system of exercises correlating with the identified stages is proposed. The effectiveness of the author's methodology has been proved experimentally. The obtained results related to first-year students who are not autonomous enough. The results of a practical study implemented in the form of a questionnaire of veterans who have experience in the ATO/OS mission and those who had no previous experience of combat operations before a full-scale invasion are presented. A specially conducted survey among members of veterans' families is seen as an important social indicator of the problem. The results of this survey identify the main needs of veterans that make it difficult for them to fully return to civilian life and, accordingly, limit their opportunities for successful reintegration. Special attention is paid to eight key areas of life activity, which are used as a basis for analyzing the impact on society. The purpose of the article is to study the complex of mechanisms of social reintegration of veterans to assess the reintegration potential of a certain category of citizens. The main tasks are defined as follows: to analyze the leading scientific experience on the problem of formulating and researching the concept of \"social reintegration of veterans\" in the system of categories used in sociology and social work; determine the structure of veterans' reintegration activities, which ensures the harmonious existence of veterans in society; find out the criteria that can be used to assess the reintegration potential of veterans; to determine the main problems of reintegration of veterans and outline ways to solve them. To achieve the goal and solve the identified tasks of the research, theoretical, empirical and statistical methods of research and data processing were used. The conclusions identify the most urgent needs of veterans, the low level of satisfaction of which reduces the reintegration potential of this category of citizens, outline the main problems that need to be solved in order to increase the reintegration potential of veterans. The stages of establishment and challenges of functioning of the dual education in Ukraine before and during the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation in Ukraine are analyzed. It was determined that dual education has the potential to solve significant problems of the modern economy and provides the opportunity to satisfy the personnel shortage through the practical training of young specialists needed for the labor market. The article aims to analyze the challenges of implementing dual education and its advantages for all participants of such partnership, especially during a full-scale war, which led to a personnel shortage, and at the beginning of the reconstruction processes in Ukraine. Methodology. To solve this scientific problem, the following methods were applied: desk research, namely, generalization, synthesis of existing research, comparative analysis and abstract-logical generalization. Results. The analysis of the problems and successes of the application of dual education until February 24, 2022, as well as the challenges faced by the educational process in general, and the implementation of dual education in particular after the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation in Ukraine, was carried out. It has been proven that the introduction of dual education is promising in terms of understanding and meeting the needs of employers, especially those who execute a state order, are involved in reconstruction processes or have been relocated. Graduates of dual education programs are more competitive in the labor market and can more easily get their first job or stay at the company where they received their on-the-job training. At the same time, the war changed the priorities of many enterprises that were involved in partnerships with vocational schools/universities, putting the need for survival and the restoration of stable production in the first place. Practical application. The research results prove that although the war in Ukraine is continuing, technologies positively influence the work of social providers and government / non-government organizations. Through mixed method study that incorporated qualitative analysis of the existing digital platforms that produce social services as well as an online-based quantitative study with NGO representatives and social workers (N=14) providing social services for IDPs and refugees, the authors support the argument that digitalization of social services promotes the social protection of IDPs and refugees. However, technology is a tool. Its outcomes depend on the needs it is expected to meet, the goals it is deployed to pursue, and the specific ways it is designed and implemented. The author's question of whether digitalization has not only the advantages of using digitalization in providing social services remains for discussion. Nevertheless, digitalization can pose severe risks for already vulnerable groups. The research explores the challenges and risks of the increasing digitalization of social services, such as a lack of interpersonal contact with clients, the inability to develop social work relationships, identify surface and deeper feelings, and the disability to convey accurate empathy, respect, and contact with clients. It is emphasized that the study of the student’s image is especially relevant today. It is up-to-date as the requirements for the future professional, as for a modern competitive specialist, are constantly growing. There are analyzed modern scientific approaches to the interpretation of the concepts of “image” and \"professional image\". It was found that the professional image is the image that must be created purposefully and consciously in order to achieve professional and personal goals, professional growth and self-development. There are defined structural components of the specialist’s image: external, procedural and internal. The external component includes facial expressions, gestures, timbre and strength of voice, clothes, manners, gait. Appearance can create a positive mood at work. Or on the contrary, it can hinder understanding, facilitating or hindering communication and interaction between people. The procedural component of the image is specified by such forms of communication as professionalism, plasticity, expressiveness, etc. The internal component is focused on the inner world of a person, ideas about his spiritual and intellectual development, values, interests, personality in general. It was concluded that a characteristic feature of image training is its communicative orientation. That is why the article proposes to use educational methods focused on contact and interaction. It ensures the construction of a dialogue, in the formation of the professional image of junior professional bachelors. It is suggested using training and dialogue, among the most effective forms of interactive training of college students. The article presents the training “Professional image” aimed at forming a certain image in the process of developing the professional speech competence of college students. It includes verbal and non-verbal parts. The developed training is designed for eight lessons, which do not exclude invariance. It is noted that the professional culture includes various models of behavior in the conditions of professional activity, as well as such aspects of the general culture of the individual as literacy, competence, spirituality, tolerance, etc. The structural components of the manager's professional culture are characterized: personal, cognitive, operational. Attention is focused on the fact that the formation of the professional culture of managers is a rather complex process, since in the course of performing his duties, the manager simultaneously acts as both a subject and an object of management. Innovative technologies that can be successfully used in the process of forming the professional culture of a future manager in a higher education institution include empowerment and resilience. pragmatic aspects of management, and socio-psychological, personal components of professional activity. The forms of work on the formation of scientific and research competences of teachers in the European scientific school of the CERN nuclear research center are described. The directions of cooperation between CERN and the Minor Academy of Sciences through the operation of online schools for teachers, school and extra-curricular education workers have been determined. The directions of offline and online cooperation of representatives of the international scientific school in the United States of America at the Argonne National Laboratory and pedagogical workers of the national laboratory of the Minor Academy of Sciences are presented. For scientific schools, the peculiarities of the formation of scientific and research competences of teachers undergoing internship at the Argonne National Laboratory are indicated. The features of improving the qualifications of pedagogical workers in the countries of the European Union and the formation of their scientific and research competences for the purpose of further training of students in research activities in institutions of general secondary education are revealed. The reasons for the popularity of improving the qualifications of pedagogical workers in the countries of the European Union, which offer teachers to undergo internships on the basis of educational institutions for the purpose of forming their scientific and research competences, further training of students in research activities, are reflected. Innovations in the cooperation of the participants of the educational process in author's schools, scientific and pedagogical schools, which reflect the main world trends, are presented. In order to determine modern methods of formation of scientific and research competences of pedagogical workers, the methods of their professional growth, which are used in educational institutions abroad, were analyzed. Directions for improving the level of teaching of teachers in Austria due to the possibilities of the websites of educational institutions and the websites of the federal states have been identified. The principles of managing adult education, non-formal and informal education in Great Britain, Germany, and France are considered. International practice has recognized that one of the ways to modernize the traditional education system is the introduction of alternative education. Therefore, in today's conditions, in many countries of the world, alternative education is not only formed and incorporated into the general education system; it acts as a significant factor in improving the traditional education system and its compliance with standards and requests of various categories of consumers of educational services.\u0000\u0000The modern realities of Ukraine, caused by Russia's full-scale war against our country, which caused large internal displacement of Ukrainian citizens, the departure\u0000\u0000of millions of them outside the country, a significant number of wounded and mentally traumatized, for whom the problem of choosing appropriate forms of education, development, life and of professional self-determination and self-realization, the necessity and expediency of modernizing the existing education system are put on the agenda with particular urgency.\u0000\u0000Authors analyzed the content of scientific definitions of alternative pedagogy, alternative education, forms of alternative education; the potential possibilities of alternative education are revealed; the leading strategies underlying the activity of foreign alternative educational institutions (bricolage, visualization, plurality of intelligence and transdisciplinarity) are characterized.\u0000\u0000The peculiarities of the functioning of individual alternative education institutions are revealed, which deserve special attention regarding the introduction of conceptual ideas of their functioning in the educational space of Ukraine with the aim of humanizing the education system in Ukraine and creating favorable conditions for the development, life and professional self-determination and self-realization of all members of society, especially children and youth.","PeriodicalId":55832,"journal":{"name":"Social Work and Education","volume":"52 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-09-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135127360","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
