Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan model pembelajaran Think berbasis media I Spring suite 8 bagi mahasiswa Pendidikan Biologi. Jenis penelitian ini adalah Research and Development. Pengembangan media pembelajaran menggunakan metode Research and Development (R & D) dengan model 4 D (Define, Design, Develop, dan Dessiminate). Penelitian ini dimulai dari tahap define yaitu mengidentifikasi konsep-konsep material yang harus terkandung dalam media. Mendesain lebih lanjut model pembelajaran Think berbasis media pembelajaran I Spring suite 8. Setelah media dirancang dan dibuat maka dilakukan tahap pengembangan yaitu validasi produk oleh ahli dan uji coba produk pada proses perkuliahan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa validitas ahli materi dalam kriteria valid dengan persentase 88 persen, hasil validitas ahli media dalam kriteria valid dengan persentase media pembelajaran sebesar 89 persen. Dari uji kelayakan diperoleh hasil uji kelayakan. Disimpulkan bahwa media termasuk dalam kategori sangat baik.Asbtract. This study aims to develop I Spring suite 8 learning media based Think learning model for Biology Education college students. The type of this research was Research and Development. The development of  learning media uses the Research and Development (R & D) method with the 4 D model (Define, Design, Develop, and Dessiminate). This research starts from the define stage that was identificatethe material concepts that must be contained in media. Furthermoredesign the I Spring suite 8 learning media based Think learning model. After media has been designed and created, the development stage was carried out, namely product validation by experts and product testing in the lecture process. The results showed that the validity of the material experts was in valid criteria with the percentage of 88 percent, the results of validity by media experts were in valid criteria with the percentage of learning media as much as 89percent. Pembelajaran yang bermakna adalah pembelajaran yang dapat dengan mudah dipahami oleh peserta didik dan informasi-informasi yang diperoleh bisa bertahan lama di dalam Long Term Memory (LTM) peserta didik. Pembelajaran di masa pandemic Covid-19 yang dilakukan secara daring tentu tidak berbeda dengan pembelajaran yang dilakukan secara luring. Suatu model/strategi pembelajaran tetap bisa digunakan dalam pembelajaran, termasuk juga model pembelajaran RQAAD (Reading, Questioning, Answering, Analyzing, Discussing). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran RQAAD terhadap motivasi belajar dan keterampilan metakognisi mahasiswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian kuasi eksperimen yang membandingkan kelas yang diberi perlakuan menggunakan model pembelajaran RQAAD dan yang tidak menggunakannya. Motivasi belajar mahasiswa diukur dengan skala motivasi sedangkan keterampilan metakognitif diukur dengan rubrik keterampilan metakognitif. Penelitian dilakukan pada mahasiswa semester 3 tahun akademik 2020/2021 yang terdiri dari 62 mahasiswa. Pembelajaran RQAAD terbukti berpengaruh signifikan terhadap motivasi belajar dan keterampilan metakognitif mahasiswa yang menempuh matakuliah Strategi Belajar Mengajar Biologi. Rerata skor terkoreksi motivasi belajar kelas eksperimen 5,61 persen lebih tinggi dari kelas kontrol dan rerata terkoreksi keterampilan metakognitif kelas eksperimen 16,01 persen lebih tinggi dibanding kelas kontrol.Abstract. Learning during the COVID-19 pandemic that is done online is certainly no different from learning that is done offline. A learning model/strategy can still be used in learning, including the RQAAD (Reading, Questioning, Answering, Analyzing, Discussing) learning model. This study aims to determine the effect of the RQAAD learning model on student motivation and metacognitive skills. The research method used is quasi-experimental by comparing classes that are treated using the RQAAD learning model and those who do not. Student learning motivation is measured by the motivation scale while metacognitive skills are measured by the metacognitive skills rubric. The research was conducted on 3rd semester students of the 2020/2021 academic year consisting of 62 students. Learning RQAAD proved to have a significant effect on learning motivation and metacognitive skills of students taking Biology Teaching and Learning Strategies Course. Collaborative Problem Solving (CPS) adalah salah satu keterampilan penting abad ke-21. Keterampilan ini juga merupakan keterampilan yang harus ditanamkan pada siswa dalam pembelajaran. Pengukuran CPS dapat dilakukan dengan menggunakan instrument berupa inventory. Dalam penelitian ini, dikembangkan Collaborative Problem Solving Inventory (CPSI) berbasis web dengan metode pengembangan Learning Development Cycle (LDC). CPSI yang dikembangkan oleh penyusun merupakan pengukuran terhadap Collaborative Problem Solving yang inovatif, menekankan pada pengukuran sebelum, selama dan sesudah kegiatan pembelajaran Collaborative Problem Solving dilakukan. Tahapan penelitian ini meliputi: (1) Observasi, Survei dan Analisis Kebutuhan; (2) Focus Group Discussion; (3) Penyusunan Desain CPSI; (4) Pengembangan CPSI Berbasis Web melalui Model Pengembangan LDC; (5) Validasi CPSI oleh ahli pengembang bahan ajar (kelayakan) dan guru (kepraktisan); dan (6) Analisis Data. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian didapatkan instrumen CPSI berbasis web dengan indikator penilaian keterampilan kolaborasi yang telah divalidasi oleh ahli dan praktisi. Hasil validasi menunjukkan bahwa instrumen layak digunakan dengan perbaikan kecil (validitas 3,75 oleh ahli media; validitas 3,78 oleh ahli evaluasi; dan rerata 3,65 oleh praktisi). Tindak lanjut penelitian dapat dilakukan dengan mengujicobakan instrumen dalam situasi pembelajaran di kelas, dengan terlebih dahulu melakukan perbaikan terkait kemenarikan tampilan dan desain website.Abstract. Collaborative Problem Solving (CPS) is one of the essential skills of the 21st century. This skill is also must be instilled in students in learning process. CPS can be gauged by using an instrument in the form of inventory. In this study, a web-based Collaborative Problem Solving Inventory (CPSI) was developed with the Learning Development Cycle (LDC) development method. The CPSI developed by the authors is a measurement of innovative Collaborative Problem Solving, emphasizing on measurements before, during and after Collaborative Problem Solving learning activities are carried out. The stages of this research include: (1) Observation, Survey and Needs Analysis; (2) Focus Group Discussion; (3) Preparation of CPSI Design; (4) Development of Web-Based CPSI through LDC Development Model; (5) CPSI validation by experts in developing teaching materials (feasibility) and teachers (practical); and (6) Data Analysis. Based on the results of the study, it was obtained that the CPSI instrument was web-based with indicators for assessing collaboration skills that had been validated by experts and practitioners. The validation results showed that the instrument is feasible to use with minor improvements (validity 3.75 by media experts; validity 3.78 by evaluation experts; and mean 3.65 by practitioners). Penelitian dilaksanakan dalam dua tahap 1) Analisis kebutuhan dengan melibatkan 159 orang mahasiswa yang melaksanakan praktikum biologi. 2) Merancang sumber belajar berupa Virtual Laboratorium pada topik kultur jaringan tumbuhan, dalam tahapan ini design virtual yang dilakukan masih dalam masa pengembangan. Data self efficacy dengan 5 indikator yang terdiri dari (keyakinan menyelesaikan tugas, motivasi diri, kerja keras, mengatasi hambatan, dan menyelesaikan tugas dalam perspektif luas atau sempit) dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan kuisioner. Rancangan story board virtual lab didesign menggunakan software photoshop. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan rata-rata skor self efficacy terkait keyakinan menyelesaikan tugas (80), memotivasi diri (87), kerja Keras (87), mengatasi hambatan (80) dan self efficacy dalam menyelesaikan tugas dalam perspektif luas atau sempit (73). Hasil ini menunjukkan perlu adanya upaya untuk peningkatan self efficacy dengan mengembangkan su mber belajar untuk pelaksanaan praktikum berbasis teknologi informasi, salah satunya pengembangan virtual laboratorium yang dapat memfasilitasi mahasiswa dalam menyelesaikan tugas secara mandiri.Abstract. The research was carried out in two stages: 1) Needs analysis involving 159 students who carried out biology practicum. 2) Designing learning resources in the form of Virtual Laboratories on the topic of plant tissue culture, at this stage the virtual design is still under development. Self-efficacy data with 5 indicators consisting of (belief in completing tasks, self-motivation, hard work, overcoming obstacles, and completing tasks in a broad or narrow perspective) were collected using a questionnaire. The virtual lab storyboard design is designed using Photoshop software. The results showed that the average self-efficacy scores related to belief in completing tasks (80), self-motivation (87), hard work (87), overcoming obstacles (80) and self-efficacy in completing tasks in a broad or narrow perspective (73). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kualitas fisika dan kimia susu sapi yang diproduksi di Kabupaten Jember dan memberikan edukasi yang tepat bagi masyarakat terkait prosedur penilaian kelayakan susu yang akan dikonsumsi melalui buku non-teks. Analisis kualitas fisika susu sapi yang dilakukan meliputi uji didih, uji alkohol, dan uji berat jenis sedangkan analisis kualitas kimia susu sapi yang dilakukan meliputi uji pH dan uji kadar lemak. Pengembangan buku non-teks dilakukan dengan menggunakan model pengembangan R2D2 (Reflective, Recursive, Design, and Development). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diketahui bahwa sampel susu sapi dari industri susu A dan industri susu B memiliki kualitas fisika dan kimia yang sesuai dengan standar kualitas susu yang aman untuk dikonsumsi menurut SNI dan Codex. Hasil rata-rata validasi produk buku non-teks yang dikembangkan sebesar 94.84 persen dari ketiga validator. Dengan demikian produk buku non-teks tersebut sangat layak digunakan sebagai buku non-teks, khususnya buku non-teks untuk pengayaan pengetahuan.Abstract. This study aims to determine the physical and chemical quality of cow's milk produced in Jember and provide an appropriate education for the community regarding the procedure for assessing the feasibility of milk to be consumed through non-text books. The analysis of the physical quality of cow's milk includes boiling test, alcohol test, and specific gravity test, while the chemical quality analysis of cow's milk includes pH test and fat content test. The development of non-text books is carried out using the R2D2 (Reflective, Recursive, Design, and Development) development model. Based on the results of the study, it is known that samples of cow's milk from dairy industry A and milk industry B have physical and chemical qualities that are in accordance with milk quality standards that are safe for consumption according to SNI and Codex. The average result of the validation of non-textbook products developed was 94.84 percent from the three validators. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui efektifitas rancangan media Genetic Pop Up Book sebagai media pembelajaran yang meningkatkan daya ingat siswa terhadap materi genetika. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah systematic review kualitatif dengan 6 langkah, yaitu 1) memformulasikan pertanyaan penelitian. 2) melakukan pencarian literatur systematic review. 3) melakukan skrining dan seleksi artikel penelitian yang cocok. 4) melakukan analisis dan sintesis temuan-temuan kualitatif.  5)  memberlakukan kendali mutu. 6) menyusun artikel narrative. Rancangan Genetic Pop Up Book merupakan rancangan media pembelajaran yang menggunakan 3 dimensi dan interaktif dalam setiap halamannya.  Materi genetika yang dimuat yaitu sub bab centraldogma yang terdiri atas pengertian genetika, penemu struktur double helix DNA, sejarah penemuan struktur double helix, DNA, RNA, replikasi, transkripsi, translasi serta latihan soal. Rancangan Genetic Pop Up Book dapat meningkatkan daya ingat siswa terhadap materi genetika melalui pengalaman belajar khusus dengan menggeser, membuka, dan melipat bagian buku pop up.Abstract. This paper sheds a new light on the strategies to foster student’s entrepreneurial skills by administering creative thinking infusion learning as the learning framework in a biology classroom. Creative thinking infusion learning is construed as bringing or showing the stages of creative problem solving’s thinking of student thinking in the classroom. To assist student engaging with the infusion in the classroom, we utilised creative thinking diagram to generate entrepreneurial ideas that apply the concept of Biology in solving a problem. Student’s entrepreneurial skills were gauged by six creative entrepreneurship indicators. To investigate those indicators, this paper administrated one group pre-test post-test design and mixed-method approach by using diagram thinking, questionnaires, reflective essays, and interview. The analysis did not show any significant impact of the creative thinking infusion learning towards entrepreneurial skills. Cempaka merupakan jenis kayu yang memiliki keterikatan erat dengan budaya masyarakat suku Minahasa karena digunakan dalam pembuatan rumah adat. Pasokan bahan baku kayu cempaka sudah semakin terbatas karena keberadaannya sudah semakin berkurang. Salah satu hal yang dapat dilakukan untuk mendukung kegiatan pengembangan cempaka adalah melalui penyebarluasan informasi melalui kegiatan pelatihan teknik penanaman cempaka. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melakukan evaluasi kegiatan pelatihan tenik penanaman cempaka berdasarkan teori The Four Levels yang dikembangkan oleh Kirkpatrick pada level I dan II. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan wawancara terhadap seluruh peserta kegiatan pelatihan dari 3 (tiga) kabupaten (Minahasa,Minahasa Utara, dan Minahasa Selatan) dengan jumlah peserta masing-masing kabupaten adalah berjumlah 15 orang. Data untuk evaluasi pada level 1 ditabulasi dan selanjutnya dianalisis secara deskriptif. Evaluasi pada level 2 dilakukan dengan membandingkan data hasil kuesioner pre test dan post test menggunakan uji t sampel berhubungan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pelatihan tenik penanaman cempaka dapat terlakasana dengan baik (evaluasi level 1). Pelatihan mampu meningkatkan pengetahuan peserta yang ditandai dengan adanya peningkatan nilai hasil evaluasi dari kuesioner sebelum dan setelah pelatihan sebesar 22 persen di Kabupaten Minahasa; 20 persen di Kabupaten Minahasa Utara, dan 13 persen di Kabupaten Minahasa Selatan (evaluasi level II).Abstract. Cempaka (Elmerrillia sp.) is a type of woods that has a close attachment to the culture of the Minahasa community because it is used in the making of traditional houses. The supply of cempaka wood raw materials has become increasingly limited because its existence has diminished. One of the things that can be done to support the preservation of cempaka is with the dissemination through training in cempaka planting techniques. This study aims to evaluate the training activities of cempaka planting techniques based on The Four Levels theory developed by Kirkpatrick at level I and II. Data collection was carried out by interviewing all training participants from 3 (three) districts (Minahasa, North Minahasa, and South Minahasa) with 15 participants in each district. Data for evaluation at level 1 were tabulated and then analyzed descriptively. Evaluation at level 2 is carried out by comparing the results of the pre-test and post-test questionnaire using the corresponding sample t test. The results showed that the training in cempaka planting techniques was carried out well (level 1 evaluation). Matakuliah Keanekaragaman Tumbuhan (KT) memainkan peran penting untuk membekali mahasiswa mempelajari prinsip taksonomi. Taksonomi merupakan salah satu upaya konservasi. Di saat era disrupsi seperti saat ini, konservasi merupakan masalah global yang mendesak. Namun, banyak penelitian yang melaporkan bahwa matakuliah KT sulit untuk dipelajari, sehingga mahasiswa menjadi tidak tertarik untuk belajar. Penelitian ini ditujukan untuk mengeksplorasi minat melalui persepsi mahasiswa calon guru biologi tentang tantangan yang terjadi selama perkuliahan KT berlangsung, serta solusi yang dapat digunakan untuk mengembangakan matakuliah KT. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data berupa reflective essay yang dianalisis menggunakan analisis tematik. Hasil eksplorasi persepsi mahasiswa calon guru biologi berupa tantangan dan peluang selama mengikuti perkuliahan KT. Tantangan yang dialami terangkum dalam empat tema: kesulitan pemahaman materi; keterbatasan media pembelajaran; metode pembelajaran kurang efektif; serta kesulitan management waktu. Peluang untuk mengembangkan matakuliah KT terangkum dalam empat tema besar: penguatan materi; optimalisasi media pembelajaran; optimalisasi metode pembelajaran; dan optimalisasi kegiatan praktikum.Abstract. Plant Diversity course (in Bahasa Keanekagaraman Tumbuhan) plays an essential role in facilitating students to learn taxonomic principles. Taxonomy is one of the conservation efforts. In this disruptive era, conservation is an urgent global problem. However, many studies have reported that this course is difficult to study, so that students are not interested in studying. This study is aimed at exploring interest through the perceptions of prospective biology teacher students about the challenges that emerge during KT course, as well as solutions that can be used to improve KT course. The research method used is qualitative research methods. The data collection technique was a reflective essay which  then was analyzed using thematic analysis. The results of an exploration of the perceptions of biology teacher candidate students in confronting challenges and opportunities during KT course. The challenges experienced are summarized in four themes: difficulties in understanding the material; limited learning media; less effective learning methods; as well as time management difficulties. High-level thinking skills are divided into several aspects including critical, creative and collaborative thinking skills. One of the appropriate learning model to improve critical thinking in students is the guided discovery model .The purpose of this study was to determine the implementation of  guided  discovery.  Model in learning genetics to increase higher thinking skills of students of SMAN 1 Lawang which include critical, creative, and collaborative thinking skills. This quasi-experiment was carried out by means of a pre-test and post-test control group design. The sample involved in this study is student of class XII IPA 3 (eksperiment class and student of class XII IPA 4 obtained by purposive sampling techniqueThe results showed that there are differences in the critical, creative and collaborative thinking skills of students who studied with the guided discovery model with a level of significance <0.05. The implementation of the guided discovery model can increase the level of critical, creative and collaborative thinking skills of students of SMAN 1 Lawang. Low learning interest causes the students' daily test scores to show disappointing results, where the results have not reached the expected Minimum Completeness Criteria standard. The average value of science learning outcomes in grades IX -3 at SMP Percut Sei Tuan only reached 55.1. To overcome this problem, it is necessary to improve by conducting Classroom Action Research. Action research was conducted in class IX-3 SMP Negeri 1 Percut Sei Tuan Jln.Besar Tembung Gang Pendidikan, Percut Sei Tuan District, Deli Serdang Regency. The research lasted for 3 months in the odd semester of the 2017/2018 school year which was carried out in 2 cycles by suggesting 4 stages for each cycle, namely: the planning, implementation, observation and reflection stages. The data obtained from each cycle were analyzed using qualitative and quantitative data analysis. This can be seen from the results of the average observation of student interest in learning science per individual, where students with very high interest in learning are 3.13%, students with high interest categories are 46.87%, students who are interested in learning are 34.37% and students with low interest in learning are 15.63%. Overall, the percentage of interest in learning has not reached 75%. Then continued with the second cycle, it was obtained that the observation interest in learning had increased. This was seen from the results of the average observation of student interest in learning science per individual that had increased. where students with very high interest in learning categories 25% of students with high interest categories 66.67%, students with sufficient interest in learning categories 8.33% overall the percentage of interest in learning has reached above 75%. The results of the first cycle test, there were 24 students (66.67%) who had achieved mastery learning while 12 students (33.33%) had not yet achieved mastery learning. After it is known that there is an increase, it is continued to provide action in cycle II.
