Every tourist from outside the area, usually looking for a megono as a sign of having visited and take it as a gift. This study is the result of deepening data about the megono and its existence as a cultural identity for the Batang people in the midst of globalization. This research was conducted using a qualitative method with an open interview approach. Traders and consumers are the main informants for this study. This research employs Baudrillard concept of habitus. The results showed that every morning, the people of Batang seemed obliged to consume sego megono sambel. According to the results of data analysis, megono Batang has different characteristics compare to megono from other places, namely its distinctive aroma. As a traditional food, megono can still exist and become a cultural symbol in the midst of the many variations of modern food. For consumers, this food can deconstruct the social class created by capitalism. Megono does not belong to any classes. This means that megono can be a symbol of equality for society.Megono adalah salah satu makanan khas bagi masyarakat Batang dan Pekalongan yang terbuat dari bahan baku nangka muda. Setiap pengunjung dari luar daerah, biasanya mencari megono sebagai tanda telah berkunjung dan barang bawaaan. Kajian ini merupakan hasil dari pendalaman data tentang megono dan eksistensinya sebagai identitas kultural masyarakat Batang di tengah globalisasi. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan metode kualtitatif dengan pendekatan wawancara terbuka. Pedagang dan konsumen menjadi informan utama dalam menjelaskan kajian ini. Menurut Baudrillard, arena konsumsi pada globalisme adalah kehiduapan sehari-hari yang merupakan sistem interpretasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan setiap pagi, masyarakat Batang seolah wajib untuk mengkonsumsi sego megono sambel. Menurut hasil analisa data, megono Batang memiliki karakteristik daripada megono dari tempat lain yaitu aromanya yang khas. Sebagai makanan tradisional, megono tetap dapat hadir dan menjadi simbol kultural di tengah banyaknya variasi makanan modern. Bagi konsumen, makanan ini dapat mendekonstruksi kelas sosial yang diciptakan kapitalisme. Megono tidak mengenal kelas. Artinya megono adalah simbol kesetaraan bagi masyarakat. This paper explains how crises occur in cities. The purpose of this study is to look at the crisis that is happening in urban areas using the method of study of literature. The theory used is the risk society of Ulrich Beck. The crisis that occurred in the city is not merely focus on economic problems, such as poverty, unemployment, homeless people and street children. Urban crises also include security, environmental, energy and social aspects. As for the factors causing the crisis, this paper sees it from an internal and external perspective. Internally, the urban crisis is caused by the developing of the city itself. A city that acts as a market has attracted producers and consumers to come. Producers approach the suburbs to reduce production costs because they are close to markets and human resources. Meanwhile, consumers come to the city because of the larger selection of goods and they also can get the best prices. Developing cities cause industrial estates to no longer be on the outskirts of cities, but many in the city center. Obviously, this causes problems and crises in the middle of a dense urban population. The crisis was also caused by external factors, namely relations with the village. The failure of development in the village caused by the choice of fragmented agricultural land due to the distribution of inheritance and agrarian violations so that land is owned by peasants. These conditions require villagers to urbanize. A city that has developed physically and has a population implicating in slum areas, squatters, green open space crises and low social sensitivity. Menurut Lewis Mumford, “tidak ada satu pun orang yang puas dengan wujud kota saat ini”. Penulis setuju dengan pernyataan tersebut, sehingga tulisan ini berusaha menjelaskan bagaimana krisis terjadi di perkotaan. Daya tarik kota begitu menghipnotis masyarakat, hal tersebut tidak terlepas dari keberhasilan pembangunan kota. Akan tetapi, di sisi lain kota mengalami yang disebut krisis. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah ini melihat krisis yang terjadi di perkotaan dengan menggunakan metode studi literatur-literatur. Adapun teori yang dipakai adalah masyarakat resiko dari Ulrich Beck. Krisis yang terjadi diperkotaan tidak hanya berbicara terkait masalah ekonomi, misal; kemiskinan, pengangguran, gelandangan dan anak jalanan. Krisis perkotaan juga meliputi krisis keamanan, lingkungan, energi dan sosial. Adapun faktor penyebab terjadinya krisis, dalam tulisan ini melihatnya pada sudut pandang internal dan eksternal. Tete Manis is a local term for God in the context of the Moluccas, while Crazy Bamboo is a local dance, which contains mystical aspect within its performance. In combining these two terms, we uses Raimundo Panikkar's thoughts of diatopic hermeneutics because with this model we can understand something else, find an alternative way to overcome some embedded boundaries, and bring together some different horizons, either in a tradition or in a different culture. This research is a library research, using a qualitative analysis of Panikkar's thoughts and also the context of faith and belief of the Moluccas’, namely Tete Manis and the crazy bamboo dance. The findings show that the faith and belief in God, the ancestors and the rulers of bamboo is Faith owned by Moluccas’, and the rituals carried out are the beliefs of the Moluccas’. The relationship between Moluccas’ and ancestors (Tete nene moyang) is not a relationship based on a belief, but rather, it is a relationship based of respect or appreciation. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melakukan perjumpaan antara iman dan kepercayan orang Maluku yakni Tete Manis dan tarian bambu gila. Tete Manis merupakan penyebutan Tuhan dalam konteks orang Maluku dan Bambu gila adalah tarian yang memiliki nuansa mistik dalam atraksinya. Dalam menjembatani akan kedua perbedaan ini penulis menggunakan pemikiran Raimundo Panikkar dengan hermeneutik diatopical karena dengan model ini kita dapat memahami sesuatu yang lain, dapat mencari jalan keluar dari batas-batas yang diciptakan, mempertemukan cakrawala yang berbeda secara radikal, baik itu dalam tradisi atau dalam budaya yang berbeda. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah library research atau penelitian kepustakaan dan metode yang digunakan adalah analisis kualitatif terhadap pemikiran Panikkar dan juga Konteks iman dan kepercayaan orang Maluku yaitu Tete Manis dan Tarian bambu gila. Temuan dalam penelitian ini adalah iman dan kepercayaan pada Tuhan, leluhur dan penguasa bambu adalah Faith dimiliki oleh orang Maluku, dan ritual-ritual yang dilakukan merupakan Belief masyarakat Maluku. Jeep accidents on Merapi Lava Tour have occurred several times, killing at least two passengers. The purpose of this study is to analyze the unsafe driving behavior of Merapi Lava Tour jeep drivers. The type of the research is qualitative research with purposive sampling technique, involving 9 informants that consist of 4 jeep drivers, the chairman of the association and 4 jeep passengers. The data were collected through interview and observation. The research site was at Merapi Lava Tour area. The result of the research suggests that the drivers’ knowledge about safety driving is good and they also have positive driving attitudes. However, in practice, there are drivers who violated the regulation and committed unsafe behavior while driving. Merapi Lava Tour has been equipped with accident insurance, Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for jeep drivers, but there are also still inadequate facilities, i.e. first aid kit that has not been evenly distributed and training on safety driving that is not available for all drivers yet. Wisata Lava Tour Merapi adalah tujuan wisata untuk menikmati keindahan alam Merapi dengan jeep. Kecelakaan jeep di wisata Lava Tour Merapi telah terjadi beberapa kali, yang menyebabkan setidaknya dua penumpang meninggal dunia. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis perilaku tidak aman pengemudi jeep Lava Tour Merapi. Tipe penelitian ini jenis penelitian kualitatif dengan teknik Purposive sampling, terdiri dari 9 informan yaitu pengemudi jeep, ketua asosiasi jeep, dan penumpang jeep. Metode pengumpulan data dengan wawancara dan observasi. Lokasi penelitian di kawasan Lava Tour Merapi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengetahuan pengemudi sudah baik terkait mengemudi dan bersikap positif tetapi dalam praktiknya ada pengemudi yang melanggar dan berperilaku tidak aman saat mengemudi. The lack of tourist attractions in this district made the local government strongly asked to increase tourism potential in the village of Ngebel. Facilities development and service improvement continue to be carried out in order to attract tourists. This study discusses the quality of service and the packaging of tourist attractions towards the decision of a visit as well as its consideration of tourist satisfaction. The number of samples used was 100 respondents taken from the number of tourists. From the data obtained from observations, documentation, direct interviews and filling out questionnaires. Multiple regression analysis was performed to determine the effect of the independent variables on the dependent variable. The results showed that there were positive and significant differences between the variables of service quality and tourist attraction packaging towards the decision of the visit and its consideration on tourist satisfaction. Telaga Ngebel merupakan tempat wisata alam unggulan di Kabupaten Ponorogo. Minimnya tempat wisata di kabupaten ini, menjadikan pemerintah daerah berupaya untuk meningkatkan potensi wisata di telaga Ngebel. Pengembangan fasilitas dan peningkatan pelayanan dilakukan demi menarik minat wisatawan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh kualitas pelayanan dan pengemasan daya tarik wisata terhadap kepuasan wisatawan. Pendekatan yang digunakan yaitu deksriptif kuantitatif dengan sampel yang digunakan sebanyak 100 responden yang diambil dari populasi wisatawan. Adapun data diperoleh dari observasi, dokumentasi, wawancara langsung dan pengisian kuisioner. Analisis multipel regresi dilakukan untuk menentukan pengaruh independent variable terhadap dependen variable. It is translated as hospitality. Omotenashi treated toward guests or tourist who visited Japan, it includes treatment to the guests with different cultural and belief background such as Moslem. The Japanese studied for their consumer needs, and finally they want to do omotenashi, by starting to sell halal food not only in a certain shop but also some restaurants which serve halal food and made certification for it. The aim of this paper is to find, why nowadays halal food in Japan can be found easier than before 2010. Japan as a non Moslem country realize that nowadays Moslem tourist are increasing and they has some specification for example in food, thus to do some hospitality or omotenashi, Japanese started to welcoming Moslem tourist by serving halal food. The theory used here are the consumer behavior from Etta Mamang Sangadji and Sopiah. While the theory of omotenashi is from Sato Yoshinobu and Abdulelah Al-alsheikh. This paper was based on limited literatures such as books, online articles from the internet, scientific discourses, including author’s empirical journey when living in Japan (1989-1994, 2007-2017) and faced difficulties in finding halal food. The finding of this paper is that the serving of halal food in some restaurants are increasing in Japan nowadays, because of omotenashi from the Japanese for their Moslem consumer. Omotenashi which Japanese do to all their guests has a big influence for the Moslem tourist.Tulisan ini berisi tentang keunikan omotenashi yang khas Jepang. Secara harafiah omotenashi berarti hospitality atau keramah-tamahan bangsa Jepang. Omotenashi yang diperlakukan terhadap para tamu atau wisatawan yang berkunjung ke Jepang tidak terkecuali terhadap wisatawan dengan latar belakang kepercayaan dan budaya yang berbeda seperti kaum muslim. Bangsa Jepang mempelajari kebutuhan dari konsumen mereka dan akhirnya mereka menerapkan omotenashi dengan mulai menjual makanan halal dan membuatkan sertifikasi untuk itu. Tujuan dari tulisan ini adalah untuk mendapatkan hasil, mengapa akhir-akhir ini makanan halal dapat lebih mudah ditemukan dibandingkan sebelum tahun 2010an. Jepang sebagai negara non muslim menyadari bahwa akhir-akhir ini wisatawan muslim meningkat dan mereka memiliki beberapa keistimewaan antara lain dalam makanan; oleh sebab itu untuk menyambut tamunya, orang Jepang melakukan omotenashi atau keramah-tamahan dengan cara mulai menyediakan makanan halal bagi wisatawan muslim. But on the other hand, in 2019 there was a rejection of Halal Tourism in several regions in Indonesia, namely Bali, South Sulawesi, North Sumatra and East Nusa Tenggara. This article tries to analyze why there is a rejection of halal tourism amid the growth of halal tourism in Indonesia. Is it more because of the recent strengthening of the wave of Islamism that has been mounted by practical political interests so that it presents its antithesis namely phobia as a form of cons of hegemony. So that the great potential of halal tourism itself is no longer seen as a great potential that can prosper anyone as a form of the universality of halal tourism. This analytical descriptive research with secondary data uses discourse analysis to answer the problem formulation with the concept of hegemony and identity politics. The conclusion of this article is that the rejection of halal tourism is significantly influenced by identity politics associated with political friction at the national and local level. Data MasterCard Crescent Rating 2019 menunjukkan Indonesia menjadi destinasi wisata halal terpopuler bersama Malaysia. Namun di sisi lain, pada kurun 2019 terjadi penolakan atas Wisata Halal di beberapa wilayah di Indonesia sebut saja Bali, Sulawesi Selatan, Sumatera Utara, dan Nusa Tenggara Timur. Apakah lebih karena menguatnya gelombang Islamisme akhir-akhir ini yang tertunggangi kepentingan politik praktis sebagai wujud hegemoni sehingga menghadirkan antitesisnya yakni fobia sebagai wujud konter hegemoni, sehingga potensi besar dari wisata halal itu sendiri tidak lagi dilihat sebagai potensi besar yang bisa menyejahterakan siapapun sebagai wujud universalitasitas wisata halal. Penelitian deskriptif analitis dengan data sekunder ini menggunakan analisis wacana untuk menjawab rumusan masalah dengan pisau iris konsep hegemoni dan politik identitas. The purpose of this research is motivated by the fact that Solo is known as a “radical city” and a city of conflict at national level. This study is expected to give a more comprehensive understanding of portrait of ethnic harmony which is reflected in the culinary cultures in order to lessenthe negative image of Solo. The method used is historical method, including heuristics (gathering of sources), source criticism, analysis/interpretation and writing. The researcher dedicated most time and energy to do library and document research and conduct some interview with the culinary businessmen. The researcher applies the acculturation theory in order to understand the process of culinary diversity occurrence. The result shows that the diversity of culinary of Solo is created as a result of intensive inter-cultural association and is supported by the creativity of local communities in addressing a challenge that led to the creation of new types of food. The existence of Javanese, European, Chinese, and Arabic communities in the past is accounted for the diversity of food on the table, which becomes a symbol of social harmony. From tourism perspective, the character of the people who have hobby of eating out and the availability of various types of culinary strengthen the image of Solo City as “keplek ilat” (mouthwatering) city. The government of Malang city has made some attempts to collaborate with any parties to allocate the proportional sports facilities for the residents. To deal with the problem, the government has designed a program called Ijen Car Free Day (ICFD) as one alternative of solutions. The Ijen Street, which mostly functions as the main street, has also served as a sport center. The present study aims at investigating the utilization of roads of Ijen Street as one of sports centers. The analysis is carried out to re-observe the use of public space that has experienced some transformations. The data collected are examined thoroughly by implementing the research method of descriptive qualitative. The result of the study indicates that the Ijen Street is a sterile road section of motor vehicles at 06:00 up to 10:00, and during the time, the road is used for some sports activities. The so-called elite region of Malang city has transformed into courts for morning gymnastics and jogging tracks along the way. In addition, the area is also used as a social, economic, and cultural spaces. The visitors of Ijen CFD often takes the chance to sell some products, join some communities, and perform some shows of art and culture. The comprehension of the models of space use is necessary to optimize the management of Ijen CFD in the future. Proporsi ketersediaan fasilitas olahraga dengan jumlah penduduk di Kota Malang memperlihatkan ketimpangan. Pemerintah Kota Malang berupaya melakukan kerja sama dengan berbagai pihak untuk menyediakan fasilitas olahraga yang proporsional bagi warga. Untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut, Pemerintah Kota Malang merancang Program Ijen Car Free Day (ICFD) sebagai alternatif solusi dengan mengalihfungsikan Jalan Besar Ijen sebagai wahana olahraga. Penelitian ini menelaah penggunaan ruas Jalan Besar Ijen sebagai gelanggang olahraga. Telaah tersebut untuk meninjau kembali penggunaan ruang publik yang mengalami transformasi pemanfaatan. Data diulas menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kawasan Jalan Ijen menjadi ruas jalan yang steril dari kendaraan bermotor sejak pukul 06.00 hingga 10.00. Di rentang waktu itu, jalan raya dimanfaatkan untuk ruang olahraga. Sepanjang kawasan itu berubah menjadi ‘lapangan’ untuk senam pagi, joging track , atau jalan santai. Selain itu, kawasan tersebut juga digunakan sebagai ruang sosial, ekonomi dan budaya. Para pengunjung ICFD acapkali menggunakan kesempatan itu untuk berjualan, berkumpul dengan komunitas, dan melakukan pertunjukan seni-budaya.
