{"title":"Inclusivity in Nursing Education: Mixed Methods Inquiry Into Knowledge and Attitudes of Faculty About Neurodiverse Students.","authors":"Megan Arbour, Kathryn Hansen, Maria Milazzo, Jane Houston, Kelly Walker","doi":"10.1097/NNE.0000000000001838","DOIUrl":"10.1097/NNE.0000000000001838","url":null,"abstract":"<p><strong>Background: </strong>Neurodiverse and disabled individuals are underrepresented in nursing education, often facing marginalization, lack of support, and implicit bias.</p><p><strong>Purpose: </strong>This study assessed nursing faculty's preparedness to teach neurodiverse students by examining their knowledge and attitudes about neurodiversity.</p><p><strong>Methods: </strong>A convergent parallel mixed methods design was used, involving a survey emailed to 469 nursing faculty at 3 North American institutions. The survey included the Faculty Preparedness Questionnaire-Neurodiversity and open-ended questions.</p><p><strong>Results: </strong>The study found that faculty has moderate knowledge of neurodiversity but desire more training. Attitudes were generally positive, though some implicit biases were present. {"title":"Cybercivility in Health Professions Education: A 20-Year Bibliometric Analysis.","authors":"Jennie C De Gagne, Paige S Randall, Elizabeth R Blackwood, Sandra Yamane, Hee Sun Kang","doi":"10.1097/NNE.0000000000001925","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.1097/NNE.0000000000001925","url":null,"abstract":"<p><strong>Background: </strong>Cyberincivility, encompassing disruptive and aggressive behaviors online, adversely impacts learning environments, academic integrity, and the well-being of students and educators.</p><p><strong>Purpose: </strong>This study examined cybercivility research in health professions education to identify trends and key studies.</p><p><strong>Methods: </strong>A bibliometric study was conducted using the Web of Science database to retrieve peer-reviewed articles on cybercivility in health professions education published between 2004 and 2024.</p><p><strong>Results: </strong>A total of 193 publications were identified, with significant growth from 2021 to 2024. The USA led in research output. Key themes included social media use, digital professionalism, and ethics. Interdisciplinary collaborations were primarily concentrated in North America, Europe, and Asia, while Africa and Latin America remained underrepresented.</p><p><strong>Conclusions: </strong>Cybercivility is essential for fostering ethical digital interactions in health professions. However, notable research gaps persist in allied health fields and underrepresented regions.
