Experiment design is used by implementing jigsaw classroom for improving self regulated learning. Data were collected by self regulated learning scale adapted from MSLQ (developed by Pintrich et al., 1991) to know the student’s profile of active learning. As known, the changes of paradigm in instruction from teacher or lecture center to student active learning have many problems. One of the causes of this condition is most of lecture still use traditional models of instruction that led lecture more active than students. Sixtyseven student from diploma degree in nurse faculty of Sultan Agung Islamic University involved in this study. Then, subject divided equally into two groups, 33 student for control group and 34 student for experiment group. The result showed that cooperative learning type jigsaw has significantly effect to self regulated learning. Jigsaw learning can improve student motivation significantly, however, the effect on the regulation of learning strategies was not found. {"title":"The Influence of Leadership on Communications, Job Satisfaction, and Oganization Commitment in Bangking Industry","authors":"R. The Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) is used to analyze the causality pattern of the involved variables. In addition, to measure the influence among the variables defined, survey method is implemented. The population used was all staff of state and private banks in East Java Area with 200 respondents. The study result shows that the direct effect of leadership gives significant positive impact to the organizational communication and organizational commitment. On the other hand, there is no significance impact of the leadership to the job satisfaction. There is no effect of indirect, positive significance of leadership on organizational commitment with job satisfaction intervening. There is no direct influence, the positive significance of leadership on organizational commitment by intervening organizational communication and job satisfaction. The outcomes of testing research hypothesis using a stepwise regression analysis showed two important findings: firstly, relationship between career program (i.e., planning and management) and career development positively and significantly correlated with job satisfaction. Secondly, relationship between career program (i.e., planning and management) and career development positively and significantly correlated with career commitment. Statistically, the result demonstrates that career development does act as an important mediating variable in the relationship between career program and personal outcomes in the career program model of the studied organization. {"title":"Childhood Trauma of Domestic Violence and Violence in Further Intimate Relationship","authors":"Margaretha, Rahmaniar Nuringtyas, Rani Rachim","doi":"10.7454/mssh.v17i1.1800","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.7454/mssh.v17i1.1800","url":null,"abstract":"This study examines associations between childhood trauma of domestic violence (DV) with the involvement in intimate relationships violence (IRV), both as perpetrators and victims. The research was conducted in two studies focusing on the relationship between childhood trauma with, 1) aggression of DV perpetrators; and 2) violence experienced by victims of IRV. Study 1 was conducted on 62 male DV perpetrators in Surabaya and Sidoarjo, while the second study on 21 female non-direct DV victims. All samples were measured by using traumatic antecedents questionnaire (TAQ; Van der Kolk, Perry & Herman, 1991) and conflict tactics scales (CTS; Straus et al., 1996). The data is processed by using correlation and regression analyses with SPSS 18. Study 1 provides empirical evidence of long-term negative effects of childhood trauma on male perpetrators. Study 2 did not find a significant relation between traumatic experiences as a victim of DV with violence experienced in their current intimate relationships, but further study should consider this relationship can occur indirectly. It is hoped that this research could serve as a beginning of the development of a longitudinal study on the effects of DV on human psychophysics. Style explanatory theory from Peterson a Seligman (1987) which is based on internal external dimension, nstability-unstability/transient dan global-specific dimentions nwas used. This study was a in qualitative research with ncase study method. The objective is to explore the understanding of drug users with HIV/AIDS. The outcome from this research shows that most of the subjects were using external, stabilized and global patterns nfrom explanatory theory in norder to understand their dependecies on drugs and how hard for them to release from it ev enthough they knew that is harmful. The drug users who were infected by HIV/AIDS were hard, to understand their situations. This was caused by nmany factors such as social support, their physical and psychological conditions, public stigma that limit ways to facing ntheir life. The constraints in this research were that all subjects were from one rehabilitation centre. Whereas, other understanding can be different in other nrehabilitation centres which is women partic ipant, or people who were not under nany rehabilitation program. The purpose of this study was to investigate the predictability of traits-personality and perceived organizational support towards male teachersr organizational commitment and also to examine the relation of five factors of personality with dimensions of their commitment. Participants for this study consisted of male teachers of private elementary schools in Jakarta. This study found that traits-personality and perceived organizational support made significant contributions to teachersr commitment. More over, it was determined that two of five factors of personality were predictors for male teachersr commitment dimensions. Sejumlah penelitian telah menghubungkan pemanfaatan ruang terbuka publik dengan fasilitasi interaksi sosial dan kohesi sosial, serta kohesi sosial dengan kesehatan jiwa. Kontribusi original penelitian ini adalah menjadikan persepsi kerekatan sosial (kohesi sosial) menjadi mediator hubungan integratif antara pemanfaatan ruang terbuka publik dengan kesehatan jiwa. Desain penelitian ini adalah noneksperimental, korelasional prediktif, dengan teknik analisis data berupa analisis jalur. Penelitian dilakukan terhadap 375 mahasiswa (182 laki-laki, 193 perempuan) dari berbagai universitas dan program studi di Jakarta dengan teknik penyampelan convenience dan insidental. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemanfaatan ruang terbuka publik mampu memprediksi kesehatan jiwa melalui kohesi sosial (χ2 = 0, df = 1, p > 0.05, RMSEA < 0.05). Keselarasan aktor ICJS dapat dicapai dengan kesepadanan kualitas aktor ICJS. Namun, pada saat ini masih terjadi diferensiasi kualitas input aktor ICJS, khususnya antara polisi dengan aktor ICJS lainnya. Implikasi dari diferensiasi tersebut menyebabkan proses penegakan hukum di Indonesia jauh dari cita hukum untuk dapat menyelaraskan antara kepastian hukum, keadilan, dan kemanfaatan. Penelitian ini bertujuan sebagai alternatif solusi perbaikan desain pendidikan polisi untuk mewujudkan ICJS yang selaras. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian hukum normatif dengan menggunakan bahan hukum sekunder. Revitalisasi sumber daya manusia polisi melalui sinkronisasi pendidikan polisi dengan aktor ICJS diperlukan mengingat polisi akan bekerja secara simultan dengan aktor ICJS lainnya. Revitalisasi lembaga pendidikan polisi akan difokuskan pada penataan kembali lembaga pendidikan polisi pada berbagai jenjang kepangkatan polisi. Kurikulum pendidikan polisi harus dapat menjadi bekal polisi untuk dapat menjalankan fungsinya ketika menjadi aparat penegak hukum. Ekuivalensi bobot pendidikan diharapkan dapat mewujudkan kesamaan cara pandang yang sama antara perwira polisi dengan aktor ICJS lainnya. Revitalization of Police Human Resources through Synchronization of Police Education to Realize Synergy Performance in Integrated Criminal Justice System Abstract Law enforcement system in Indonesia, specifically in criminal law known as the Integrated Criminal Justice System (ICJS), which consists of four components, namely judges, prosecutors, lawyers, and police. The harmony of actors of ICJS can be achieved by equivalence of ICJS quality. But, police are getting different input in human resource compare with another actors of ICJS. The implication of differentiation is causing law enforcement in Indonesia far from law ideas to achieving legal certainty, justice and expediency. This research is aimed to design an alternative solution for the improvement of police education to realize the harmony of ICJS. This research is a normative legal research with using secondary legal materials. Revitalization of police human resources through police education synchronization with actors of ICJS needed because the police will work simultaneously with other actors of ICJS. Revitalization of police educational institutions will be focused on the realignment of police educational institutions at various police ranks. Police education curriculum should be a provision for the police to function as a law enforcement officer.
