Several factors are fueling the rapid rise in popularity of online shopping in India. These include the increasing internet penetration, a growing number of internet-savvy consumers, a larger labour force, a wide range of online stores offering goods from around the globe, and improved web accessibility. The concept of \"e-tailing\" refers to the business model where products are bought and sold through an online platform. India's retail sector is currently undergoing a significant transformation due to the transition from traditional stores to online marketplaces. During the festival season, online retailers are currently offering a variety of deals to attract more customers. In recent years, the popularity of online shopping has soared, allowing consumers to easily purchase a wide range of products, from everyday essentials to cutting-edge technology. Online shopping and digital shops are becoming increasingly popular in rural areas, reaching beyond the confines of city life. Several factors contribute to this phenomenon, such as increasing incomes, a stronger economy, a wide range of choices for consumers, and the active involvement of lenders in promoting digitalization and online shopping. The festival shopping sector is a significant driver behind the growth of e-commerce platforms. During holiday seasons, companies frequently offer promotions and significant discounts on both new and used products. In addition, they offer additional incentives such as cash-back deals and buy-one-get-one sales. At this time, companies would organise sales events with distinctive names such as \"Big Billion Days\" on Flipkart, \"Flash Sales\" on Myntra, and \"Great Festive Sale\" on Amazon. The aim of this study is to examine the impact of virtual shopping festivals on local communities and individual shoppers.","PeriodicalId":507836,"journal":{"name":"European Economic Letters (EEL)","volume":"35 28","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-02-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139962428","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

One popular approach is index investing, where funds track a market index, aiming to replicate its returns. This strategy offers low costs and broad exposure. On the other hand, active management involves fund managers making investment decisions to outperform the market. While potentially yielding higher returns, it comes with higher fees. Asset allocation is another key strategy, where investors diversify their holdings across various asset classes like stocks, bonds, and commodities. This helps manage risk and optimize returns based on individual risk tolerance and financial goals. For those seeking stability, income funds focus on generating regular dividends, suited for conservative investors. In contrast, growth funds target capital appreciation by investing in companies with high growth potential. Careful consideration of these strategies, aligned with one's financial objectives and risk appetite, is essential for retail investors to make informed mutual fund choices.","PeriodicalId":507836,"journal":{"name":"European Economic Letters (EEL)","volume":"10 3","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139126238","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The present study aimed to study the presence of anxiety and stress symptoms among medical officers in the Indian army and the impact of anxiety and stress on psychological well-being during COVID. The data was collected from February 2021 to April 2021 using a standardized questionnaire to measure anxiety, stress, and psychological well-being. Data collected from 319 respondents were analyzed using SPSS by Chi-square tool, bivariate correlation, H-test, and U-test. The presence of anxiety and stressed symptoms were 11.9% and 37.3% among medical officers in the Indian army. Medical officers of the AMC unit (doctors) were more impacted by anxiety compared with MNS and ADC medical officers. The risk factors having significant association with stress symptoms were age (maximum in 31-40 and 51-60 years), rank (initial service ranks and senior ranks both), and unit (AMC and MNS are more prone to stress symptoms as compared to ADC unit). Anxiety (-0.543) at p<0.01 has more negative impact on psychological well-being among medical officers of armed forces as compared to stress at work (-0.243) at P<0.01. In this present study, results showed the high presence of anxiety and stress symptoms among medical officers during COVID-19. Results also demonstrated that there is a difference in anxiety level at different times of COVID. Differences in psychological well-being also exist and are impacted due to the presence of stress and anxiety. By prioritizing well-being, focus will be shifted to sustainable development of medical officers.","PeriodicalId":507836,"journal":{"name":"European Economic Letters (EEL)","volume":" 4","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-12-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139141006","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Rating agencies give useful information about performance and creditworthiness of companies, which aids in reducing information asymmetry and it serve as a signal for the likelihood of default which allows investors and market participants to make informed decisions . It is considered as powerful institutions capable of influencing bond and stock prices. The credibility of rating agencies has been question due to their role in the 2008 financial crisis. Their credibility may be impacted by a number of reasons. The study reviewed literature added in credit-rating agency domain from January 2004 to October 2023. Bibliometric analysis is used to comprehend the existing literature. The review recouped 237 research articles on Credit Rating Agency from the Scopus database and envisioned the data using VOS viewer software and Biblioshiny from R studio. We found that most of the studies emerged as after-effects of financial crisis reported in 2008. We have provided a feasible research agenda to further explore credit-rating agency domain. The study not only enhanced the understanding of the scholarly landscape within the scope of the study but also provided a comprehensive assessment of the literature.","PeriodicalId":507836,"journal":{"name":"European Economic Letters (EEL)","volume":" 9","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-12-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139139286","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
