{"title":"Literatura i viatge a l’època moderna Una aproximació a alguns itineraris d’autors, personatges i textos per espais reals i imaginaris","authors":"Pep Valsalobre","doi":"10.7203/scripta.22.27839","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.7203/scripta.22.27839","url":null,"abstract":"Resum: El treball formula una panoràmica (gens exhaustiva) de la relació entre literatura i viatge en autors del domini català, en qualsevol llengua, que incorpora, en primer lloc, el format convencional de viatgers reals que produeixen textos exprés sobre aquests desplaçaments (a Terra Santa o a d’altres destinacions amb diferents objectius); relats d’itinerància inserts en textos d’altra índole com dietaris i memòries; trànsits per raons polítiques i diplomàtiques (amb plasmació escrita, literària o no); i, finalment, periples de caire científic. En segon terme, hi ha els transeünts per força, que no sempre deixen testimoni escrit de la migració per bé que aquesta consagra com a resultat una obra literària significativa. A continuació qui pelegrina és el personatge, bé per una geografia real, bé per espais fingits (somnis, mite, més enllà) o al·legòrics. Finalment, qui roda és el text. El panorama aquí ofert pretén ser una aproximació descriptiva a la riquesa de materials en aquesta faceta de la nostra cultura escrita més que no pas un article de grans aportacions a la investigació literària. En resulta un possible paisatge de la literatura moderna en territoris del domini català sota la perspectiva de l’itinerari (d’autors, de personatges, d’obres)..Paraules clau: literatura moderna catalana, iteratura de viatge, memorialísticaAbstract: This study provides an overview (though by no means an exhaustive one) of the relationship between the literature produced by authors from Catalan-speaking territories and their travels in the early modern period, in any language. In the first instance it employs the conventional format of real travellers who produced express texts about these journeys (to the Holy Land or to other destinations with different objectives), and it includes: touring stories inserted into other texts such as diaries and memoirs; trips made for political and diplomatic reasons (with written, literary or non-written expression); and, finally, scientific journeys. Secondly, there are those who travelled through obligation and who did not always leave written testimony of their migration, even if this did result in a significant collection of literary works. Then there is the personal journey undertaken by individuals, whether in the real world or an invented or allegorical one (dreams, myths and beyond). And finally the text itself also undertakes a voyage.The panorama offered here aims to constitute a more descriptive approach to the wealth of materials in this facet of our written culture than an article with great contributions to literary research. El Jaufré, novel·la d’aventures, rural i accelerada, ofereix uns àpats que generalment són de supervivència, mentre que els banquets es resolen sense cap especificació rellevant Per contra, a Flamenca, urbana, sedentària i refinada, l’autor té cura de descriure la riquesa d’un coneixement gastronòmic que es reclama d’un pensament hedonista que coincideix amb la joie de vivre que afecta tots els aspectes de la novel·la.Paraules clau: Jaufré, Flamenca, aventura, fam, banquetAbstract: Food allows us to grasp the great differences between the two great Occitan novels of the 13 Century. Jaufré, an adventure novel, rural and fast-paced, generally presents meals as pure survival, while the banquets are solved without any relevant specifications. {"title":"El Magnánimo, el Marqués de Santillana y el III libro del Curial","authors":"Júlia Butinyà","doi":"10.7203/scripta.22.27853","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.7203/scripta.22.27853","url":null,"abstract":"Resumen: Las secuelas de la autoría de Íñigo Dávalos sobre el Curial coinciden con los planteamientos literarios, si bien dejan incógnitas, como la insistencia en la figura maternal en el libro III, la cual se afronta aquí. La vinculación del Magnánimo con la Corona aragonesa –reflejada en Curial– se realiza mediante famosas caballerías, desde la leyenda del buen conde de Barcelona; siguen las crónicas con la figura del rey Pedro, cuyos cuentos decameronianos (X,6 y 7) solucionan la dinámica sentimental a finales del III libro. La relación con Santillana afecta a la primera mitad del libro III, donde el autor se opone a la Comedieta de Ponça, defendiendo la veracidad. Ello se expone en ese prólogo, se avala en el sueño del Parnaso y se aplica “dorando” los hechos de menor brillo. Así, se doran los aspectos negativos de aquel gran poema –errores o ausencias significativas– y las situaciones sentimentales de la pareja protagonista; éstas, mediante los diálogos puros, calcados de la Divina Comedia. En la segunda mitad del libro, las dos citas mitológicas de Dante instauran una mixtura moral renovadora, despojando de inmoralidad a Venus y recordando al gran Júpiter como mediador. El plano literario y el moral se corresponden, de manera que en ambos se dice la verdad –dorada con humor– a modo de consejo amical, como recomienda Dione en un discurso excelso. Finalmente, la Tragèdia de Lançalot de Lluís Gras se plantea como fruto de la memoria del Magnánimo.Palabras clave: Humanismo cuatrocentista hispánico, Curial e Güelfa, Alfonso el Magnánimo, Marqués de SantillanaAbstract: The consequences of the paternity of Íñigo Dávalos on the Curial coincide with the literary approaches, although there are still unknowns, such as the unexplained persistence of the maternal figure in book III, which is dealt with here. The link of the Magnanimous with the lineage of the Aragonese Crown –reflected in Curial– is made through the most famous chivalries, from the legend of the good count of Barcelona; the chronicles continue with the king Pedro, whose Decameronian tales (X,6 y 7) solve the sentimental dynamic at the end of the III book.  The relationship with Santillana affects the first half of book III, where the author, defending veracity, opposes Ponça’s Comedieta. This is exposed in this prologue, is endorsed in the dream of Parnassus and it is applied “gilding” the less brilliant facts. Thus, both the negative aspects of Ponça’s Comedieta and the sentimental situations that affect the leading couple, are gilded; these, through pure dialogues, traced from the Divine Comedy. The two quotes mythological from Dante in this book establish a renewing mixture moral, since Venus is not immoral and Jupiter is a mediator. The literary and moral aspects correspond, so that, in both –dorating it– and the truth is told in the form of friendly advice, as Dione recommends in an excellent speech. {"title":"L’adverbi totavia al Curial e Güelfa: un possible italianisme lèxic","authors":"Jordi M. Això ja ha estat observat en diversos estudis previs, que han considerat aquesta excepcionalitat com a resultat de la interferència del francès o de l’italià, o que l’han qualificada de cultisme. En aquest estudi pretenem analitzar l’ús del mot a l’obra i formular una hipòtesi sobre la singularitat que planteja. Per a fer-ho, caracteritzarem l’adverbi semànticament i funcional en català antic, amb una perspectiva diacrònica (s. xii-xvi), i contrastarem els resultats obtinguts amb els del Curial e Güelfa. D’altra banda, i prenent com a fonament diversos estudis sobre els derivats de tota via en francès, italià i castellà, compararem els resultats obtinguts amb les dades sobre aquests adverbis al s. xv. De l’estudi, concloem que la caracterització del mot al Curial e Güelfa no es correspon amb la de totavia en català antic ni amb la del paral·lel francès; en canvi, s’acosta més a la del castellà coetani i, sobretot, a la de l’italià tuttavia. Concloem, doncs, que es tracta d’un –possible– nou italianisme semàntic.Paraules clau: adverbis temporals i aspectuals, català antic, Curial e Güelfa, llengües en contacte, gramaticalitzacióAbstract: The adverb totavia is a singular word in the language of the Curial e Güelfa, both because of its frequency and because of the values it presents in the work. This has already been observed in several previous studies, which have considered this exceptionality as a result of interference from French or Italian, or which have qualified it as cultism. In this study, we intend to analyse the use of the word in the novel and to formulate a hypothesis about its singularity. To do so, we will characterise the adverb semantically and functionally in Old Catalan, with a diachronic perspective (12th-16th century), and we will contrast the results obtained with those of the Curial e Güelfa. On the other hand, and taking as a basis several studies on the derivatives of TOTA VIA in French, Italian and Spanish, we will compare the results obtained with the data on these adverbs in the 15th century. In this study, we conclude that the characterisation of the word in the Curial e Güelfa does not correspond to that of totavia in Old Catalan nor to that of the French parallel; it is closer to the characterisation of the adverb in contemporary Spanish and, above all, to that of the Italian tuttavia. Es tracta d’una tasca que ambdós dugueren a terme, per una banda, aferrant-se a unes tradicions gastronòmiques que calia recollir i fixar perquè no acabessin esborrades per les xacres de la modernitat i, per l’altra, plasmant un estil amè i una llengua moderna, assequibles per a un públic nombrós, que fossin un model de referència tant a l’àmbit culinari com a la vida quotidiana.  Paraules clau: cuina, receptaris, identitat nacional, Pellegrino Artusi, Josep PlaAbstract: The purpose of this article is to show how the Italian Pellegrino Artusi (Forlimpopoli, 1820-Florence, 1911) and the Catalan Josep Pla (Palafrugell, 1897-Llofriu, 1981) used the art of cooking in their books La scienza in cucina e l’arte di mangiar bene (1891) and El que hem menjat (1972) to create a stronger sense of belonging and a more consistent idea of Italy and Catalonia in the population of their respective countries during some periods of political, social and cultural transition. On the one hand, they succeeded in doing it by recollecting and fixing a lot of gastronomic traditions to avoid their disappearance. On the other, they forged an enjoyable style and a modern language that reached a larger public and could be employed not only in the culinary field but also in everyday life. Tot seguit, s’analitzen els diversos processos de reescriptura a què va ser sotmès l’article, fins que va ser integrat a Cartes d’Itàlia. Finalment, gràcies a la reelaboració literària, es posen en relleu aspectes canviants del pensament de Pla entorn de la gastronomia d’Itàlia. Based on the possible incentives that prompted Pla to write a second writing based on Italy’s cuisine, the content of this is briefly described, as well as the role of regional cuisine when defining a territory. Next, the various rewriting processes to which the article was subjected, until it was integrated into Cartes d’Itàlia, are analysed. Finally, thanks to the literary reworking, changing aspects of Pla’s thinking about the gastronomy of Italy are highlighted.
