The research focuses on the question of how ESG practices contribute to organizational sustainability, requiring an understanding of the integration of ESG dimensions into corporate strategies and their impact on sustainability. Using an integrative systematic review, the study provides a comprehensive view of research on ESG practices and organizational sustainability, highlighting a growing academic and corporate interest in this area. The analysis reveals that, despite the recognition of the benefits of ESG practices, there is a gap in understanding how these are implemented daily and the challenges faced by organizations. Furthermore, the absence of studies on the ideal balance between ESG practices to optimize organizational sustainability is emphasized. It concludes with the need for more research to elucidate the specific contribution of ESG practices to organizational sustainability, suggesting a positive movement towards their integration into business strategies, under the aegis of greater regulatory guidance and transparency in ESG reporting.","PeriodicalId":505714,"journal":{"name":"Concilium","volume":"4 9","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-04-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140712158","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Therefore, several studies have analyzed the phenomenon and predicted the wax disappearance temperature (WDT). This variable represents the exact solid-liquid equilibrium point. Such information is an effective aid in decision-making regarding pipelines and production facilities. However, the study of paraffin deposition is highly dependent on conducting experiments, which are typically costly and can make this type of analysis impractical. The increasing progress of models based on machine learning techniques has been an alternative to experimental and thermodynamic methods to predict this phenomenon. In the present study, a bibliographic review of the main authors on models for predicting kerosene deposition has been compiled.","PeriodicalId":505714,"journal":{"name":"Concilium","volume":"7 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-04-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140708949","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

To this end, a laboratory and clinical surveillance study was carried out with samples of Candida spp. previously isolated from urine surveillance cultures of patients admitted to the Intensive Care Unit, during the period from 2019 to 2020. It was demonstrated that the incidence of candidemia in patients with positive urine cultures for Candida spp. it was 17.7 per 1000 admissions and 80% of patients who developed candidemia died. The chance of developing candidemia was eight times greater in patients who had diseases of the digestive system that caused hospitalization and 26 times greater in those who had Coronary Artery Disease (CAD), compared to patients who did not have the comorbidity. We concluded that the possibility of developing candidemia from candiduria is 4.5%, however, the onset of candidemia, regardless of the source, worsens the patient's prognosis.","PeriodicalId":505714,"journal":{"name":"Concilium","volume":"69 11","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-04-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140709650","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The first case presented mild signs, successfully treated with medication and ice packs. The second case, more severe, involved exacerbated local signs such as extensive edema and ecchymosis, and diffuse cutaneous hemorrhage in the affected limb, as well as systemic signs, including vomiting, tetraparesis, ataxia, and epileptic seizure, culminating in renal and hepatic failure, circulatory collapse, and death. The treatments employed were based on the symptoms and included the use of analgesics and anti-inflammatories. The study highlights the importance of early diagnosis and appropriate treatment, including the use of specific antivenoms in more severe cases. It emphasizes the importance of preventive measures, such as the use of insecticides, to prevent future accidents. Awareness of the clinical signs of poisoning and the available treatment options is crucial for healthcare professionals and veterinarians to ensure proper management of these incidents and minimize their consequences.","PeriodicalId":505714,"journal":{"name":"Concilium","volume":"9 13","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-04-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140710567","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

There was no significant difference between the evaluation times in each group nor between the groups in the times evaluated for the parameters: capillary refill time, skin turgor, color and humidity of the mucosa, total plasma proteins, creatinine, urea and osmolarity, creatine kinase, aspartate aminotransferase, total calcium, phosphorus, and total magnesium. There was increase in the hematocrit and plasma glucose in both groups at T1, but without differences among the groups. The plasm lactate increased in T1. Only for plasma lactate there were changes between the groups, being higher in the pull at T1. It was concluded that, in response to the imposed exercise, the pull and helper groups showed similar hydration status with only slight dehydration, and maintained their biochemical rates preserved, except lactatemia which increased in both, but higher in the pull, suggesting that this group performs more intense anerobic metabolism in the vaquejada.","PeriodicalId":505714,"journal":{"name":"Concilium","volume":"95 3","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-04-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140709388","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
