It is extremely important to know and understand the current scenario of milk production, identifying the potential, limits and needs of this sector. The aim of this work is to research the family milk production chain in the state of Rio de Janeiro and analyze the actions taken to disseminate knowledge to small producers and the processes that could be optimized in terms of management and communication. The methodological approach used in this work is qualitative, bibliographical and exploratory. As this research is linked to the field of management, the qualitative approach was chosen because it is considered the most appropriate for understanding the subject. It is exploratory because it set out to research the family dairy chain, its characteristics, the state of the art and the diffusion and dissemination of knowledge. It was concluded that there is a need for training and capacity building in the face of the growing amount of information and knowledge that needs to be managed between the different players in the production process.","PeriodicalId":505714,"journal":{"name":"Concilium","volume":"86 4","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-04-13","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140706949","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A classic epidemiological analysis tool that can be used is the Kaplan-Meier (KM) survival model, which calculates the probability of survival for a group of patients. This study aims to describe the Estimated Survival of patients admitted to the ICUs of Field Hospitals in the Federal District during the COVID 19 Pandemic. Methodology: It is a non-concurrent cohort study of patients with COVID-19 consecutively admitted to the ICUs of field hospitals. The variables collected upon admission to the ICU were evaluated using KM curves and the non-parametric log-rank test. Results: For all patients admitted to the ICUs of field hospitals, the median length of stay was 10 days. Patients have a 94.95%, 58.45% and 19.92% probability of surviving 1 day, 10 days and 30 days of hospitalization respectively. Conclusion: The Kaplan-Meier curve is a strategic tool, it provides a clear view of how long the healthcare system needs to treat a person.","PeriodicalId":505714,"journal":{"name":"Concilium","volume":"47 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-04-13","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140708245","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Biodiversity is treated differently between capitalist society and traditional societies. The difference is that traditional people have respect for nature and everything it represents in their lives. In this way, indigenous communities are extremely important for the study of environmental conservation. The research we are developing, which gave rise to this article, aims to contribute to the analysis of the physical-chemical characteristics of the water of the Itinga River, transferring technology through citizen science, so that the Pataxó People can monitor the river through the continuity of its historical cultural relationship, adding technology to its advantage. The text shows the need and possibility of building bridges between scientific knowledge and the traditional knowledge of the Pataxó People in Porto Seguro/BA. We believe in technology transfer as part of citizenship.","PeriodicalId":505714,"journal":{"name":"Concilium","volume":"74 s1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-04-13","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140706759","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Introduced in 1989, CE is a burgeoning research area, highlighting the need for a more in-depth analysis of its development. This research aimed to conduct a bibliometric analysis of publications in CE related to waste, using the Web of Science database. Between 2007 and 2022, the study identified the countries and authors with the highest production, the most cited journals and articles, and thematic analysis through keyword co-occurrence. The research demonstrated the evolution of studies, particularly from 2020 to 2022, revealing Europe as a leader in publications and indicating the need for encouragement in the African continent. Studies on plastic recycling and energy recovery proved to be extensively explored areas, unlike electronic and construction waste recycling, which emerged as promising fields.","PeriodicalId":505714,"journal":{"name":"Concilium","volume":"57 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-04-13","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140708525","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The present research aimed to analyze whether research participants provide information that could lead to an understanding of the loss of a sense of belonging due to community relocation. The research was methodologically structured as qualitative and descriptive research, as it sought to understand the community's loss of a sense of belonging. The results were obtained through the application of semi-structured interviews in a formative study, revealing that the relocation of the school within the community generated a sense of emotional disconnection and identification with the environment among the people. It is indeed a fact that when someone experiences a sense of belonging, they typically feel integrated, accepted, and valued. Content analysis was conducted based on the results, and the conclusions indicated the loss of a sense of belonging among the interviewees regarding the relocation of the community from the banks of the Madeira River, due to the construction of a hydroelectric plant.","PeriodicalId":505714,"journal":{"name":"Concilium","volume":"8 2","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-04-13","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140707345","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

We explore the interaction between scientific activity and values, fostering critical awareness of scientific practice and its impact on society. The aim is to fill gaps in the comprehension of cognitive, social, and ethical values, considering how they have been shaped by technological transformations and sociocultural crises. A comprehensive literature review examines Lacey's key tenets presented in works such as \"Values and Scientific Activity 1 and 2\" and Oliveira's \"From Cognitive Science to Dialectic\", as well as articles in scientific databases and communications with the philosopher in 2023. According to him, values and science should be intrinsically linked, provided there is impartiality in scientific assessments. This relationship does not compromise the ongoing pursuit of a robust understanding of the phenomena in the world. The results highlight the relevance of Lacey's perspectives on values in contemporary science, as in contexts such as transgenic research, which raises crucial ethical questions.
