It needs to be functional, safe, and comfortable at the same time. However, the volume fluctuation of the stump causes the incompatibility between the stump and the socket. This paper designs an adaptive prosthetic socket with rope-driven to fit stump volume fluctuation. The designed adaptive prosthetic socket with constant force characteristic using superelastic shape memory alloy may solve the problem of uneven pressure on the stump due to stump volume fluctuation and adapt stump volume. To obtain a good constant force range, the constant force characteristic of the socket is optimized and validated by finite element analysis. The experimental results show that the constant force mechanism using the C-shaped shape memory alloy sheets can obtain good constant force characteristics, and the socket can apply a constant force to the stump to solve the problem of uneven pressure distribution between the stump and the socket.","PeriodicalId":50340,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Applied Electromagnetics and Mechanics","volume":"76 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.6,"publicationDate":"2023-04-14","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"86626746","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":4,"RegionCategory":"工程技术","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

These vehicles can easily make turns owing to their compactness, and they have a low impact on the environment. However, exterior road and wind noises have a large impact on occupant comfort in the interior space because an electric motor is used instead of an internal combustion engine. Therefore, an active noise control system using control sound or masking for ultra-compact electric vehicles was studied. To select the sound used for masking, a sound containing 1/f fluctuation, which has a relaxing effect on humans, was investigated. In the study of 1/f fluctuations, various analysis methods for comfort evaluation are used. However, a method of detecting sounds including 1/f fluctuations has not been established and clarified. Thus, a basic study of 1/f fluctuations was performed to select the sound to be used for the masker. Furthermore, brain waves of participants were measured in cases in which participants heard sounds including or not 1/f fluctuation. The results revealed that sounds including 1/f fluctuation of amplitude and frequency helped participants to relax.","PeriodicalId":50340,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Applied Electromagnetics and Mechanics","volume":"46 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.6,"publicationDate":"2023-04-14","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"89164857","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":4,"RegionCategory":"工程技术","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In order to accurately obtain the relationship between the magnetic field signal and the electrical signal, it is necessary to avoid the influence of environment and other factors on the system accuracy through on-site calibration. This requires high calibration accuracy, simple operation, portable equipment and strong adaptability to the environment. However, the existing calibration methods put forward higher requirements for instruments and environment. For example, the calibration of uniform magnetic field generated by Helmholtz coil needs to shield external magnetic field interference. In this paper, an overall calibration method of measurement system based on magnetic source excitation is proposed to meet the requirements of electromagnetic field accurate measurement in ground-air frequency domain. Firstly, based on the electromagnetic measurement method in ground-air frequency domain, the overall calibration method and principle of the detection system are introduced. Then, based on the computable standard magnetic field generated by the magnetic source transmitting coil, determine the measured voltage obtained by the receiving system, get the calibration coefficient of the receiving system. At last,the source of standard uncertainty related to calibration is analyzed, and the uncertainty is evaluated. In addition, the method is verified by comparing the calibration results with those obtained by Braunbeck coil calibration.","PeriodicalId":50340,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Applied Electromagnetics and Mechanics","volume":"28 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.6,"publicationDate":"2023-04-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"78853692","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":4,"RegionCategory":"工程技术","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

First, this paper improves the existing SMC model by introducing a correction factor to correct the hysteresis loss coefficient so that the model can consider the local variation characteristics of the magnetic density waveform and then calculate the core loss under different harmonic excitation. Then, the influence of skin effect and inhomogeneous flux density within the ring sample model is analyzed. Finally, to validate the improved model, it is compared with other models in the reference based on experimental measurements, respectively. The results show that the core loss calculated by the improved model is closer to the experimental results under different harmonic excitations. In addition, the applicability of the improved SMC model under triangular and square wave excitations is also verified by the derivation of the equations.","PeriodicalId":50340,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Applied Electromagnetics and Mechanics","volume":"167 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.6,"publicationDate":"2023-04-11","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"83889015","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":4,"RegionCategory":"工程技术","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Therefore, effective compensation for the electrical performance of the antenna is one of the important means to ensure its normal and stable operation. An electrical compensation method based on the genetic algorithm to change the phase of the radiating element is proposed, which also considers the quantization error of the phase shifter. Under the 0.46𝜆 deformation condition, the left side lobe level of the horizontal radiometer with the worst performance deterioration is compensated by 2.15 dB, reaching the ideal state before deformation. The objectives and constraints in the optimization model can be adjusted according to the actual work requirements. The correctness and feasibility of proposed method are verified by an antenna array with 8 × 32 radiating elements.","PeriodicalId":50340,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Applied Electromagnetics and Mechanics","volume":"20 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.6,"publicationDate":"2023-04-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"88633852","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":4,"RegionCategory":"工程技术","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The operating principle of the piezoelectric actuator is presented. The magnification factor of the displacement amplification mechanism is deduced and verified by finite element analysis. To improve the output precision of the actuator, a feedforward PID control model is established. Based on the experimental test platform, the output characteristics of the piezoelectric actuator are tested. Results show the maximum output displacement of the piezoelectric actuator is 558.3 μm under a driving voltage of 150 V with two piezoelectric stacks. When the driving frequencies are less than 3 Hz, the control accuracy of feedforward PID is higher than that of PID, and the error between the measured displacement and the ideal value is less than 10% after applying the control to the piezoelectric actuator.","PeriodicalId":50340,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Applied Electromagnetics and Mechanics","volume":"53 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.6,"publicationDate":"2023-03-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"87236891","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":4,"RegionCategory":"工程技术","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, the absence of an accurate theoretical model causes great distress in the design phase of the ECB. To tackle this, this article establishes a subdomain model that can intuitively observe the influence of structural and material parameters on the magnetic field and eddy current braking force. The accuracy of the analytical model is verified by the finite element method (FEM). The calculation results show that the eddy current braking force is the largest when the relative velocity of the primary and secondary reaches the critical velocity value. The recoil equation of motion is introduced to analyze the change law of the braking force under intensive impact load. A small prototype impact test platform was set up to analyze the change of braking characteristics of the ECB under the impact load. To reduce the weight of the ECB, the multi-objective optimization of the ECB parameters is carried out. The vital structural mass of the ECB is reduced by 19.44% while meeting the recoil requirements.","PeriodicalId":50340,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Applied Electromagnetics and Mechanics","volume":"695 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.6,"publicationDate":"2023-03-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"83865045","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":4,"RegionCategory":"工程技术","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
