Therefore, we created an AI speaker that can automatically respond to questions and support procedures during experimental training, and introduced a BOT that can automatically respond to inquiries from students in real time and deliver information using LINE to solve the problem. The students conducted market research, product planning, and trial production of the LED desk stand. This article introduces the first half. They do market research, think about the most important problems, come up with technical ideas to solve the problems, and write a simple product proposal to make the ideas a reality. Problems and technical ideas are inspired by brainstorming. Students in the class have been assigned on the result of the placement test immediately after admission. Each lecture consists of a series of video lecture, careful reading text, and exercise, followed by assignment. The assignment was submitted as many times as needed until it passed. The classes with the same lesson content were opened two times in a year, both in the first and second semesters. In this study, we investigated the influence of changes in the IT environment on the acquisition of information literacy by university new students, and proposed a curriculum improvement plan. It was found that differences in the IT environment affected new students’ PC use less frequently and their acquisition of information literacy. Furthermore, by the difference in the start of smartphone ownership, there was a polarization between the group that actively uses both smartphones and PCs and the group that does not. Except for one instructor, the scores of DLL for all instructors increased by about 0.6~25.3 compared to their scores before taking charge of the PBL classes. Three practical exercises using clay were designed to enhance development, visualisation and communication of personal research projects through art-design methodologies. Participant observation, text analysis and questionnaire surveys confirmed the usefulness of the workshop and the appreciation of the students. Through the experience of thinking as IFGs, the students’ opinions changed from a consumer/individual perspective to a producer/overhead perspective, and their awareness of social contribution and environmental considerations increased. They also took a longer-term perspective and became more aware of the importance of passing on traditional food culture. After the lifting of the evacuation order, many of the townspeople who have returned to Naraha-machi from other cities are elderly, and there is a need to improve the working population ratio. As part of this effort, the town is promoting activities to collaborate with university students and other younger generations. Therefore, students in the author’s laboratory engaged in PBL aimed at solving problems in Naraha-machi. As a result, they were able to learn about the actual problems facing Naraha-machi and their solutions.
