The Educational Effects of Active Learning on Drawing and Sketching 主动学习对绘画和速写的教育作用

Furthermore, we aimed to determine which skills were effectively addressed by this approach. To conduct a quantitative analysis and discussion, we categorized skills into five items and employed a rubric-based grading system. In the case of dessin, no significant differences were observed in any of the items; however, better results were obtained for “perspective drawing” compared to other items. In image sketching, the “detailed shape” item showed a significant improvement in evaluation. The primary purpose of this class is to improve students’ ability to think from multiple perspectives through understanding the business models of various companies and to become familiar with the Business Model Canvas (BMC) used in the class so that they can use it in the design thinking process. The class consisted of an explanation of the BMC, an analysis of a leading U.S. company using the BMC, an analysis of a company chosen freely by each student, and a plenary presentation of selected submitted materials. Class management was designed to promote reframing and the formation of collective knowledge. A series of experiments were conducted with students who were novices in group discussions. Four students who had never met each other before participated in a 15-minute networked group discussion experiment 10 times over a 3-month period. In the initial period, when participants only self-evaluated themselves after participating in discussions. After the mid-term, when all participants had an opportunity to exchange opinions (mutual evaluation), effects such as an increase in the length of utterances and a decrease in the length of silence, which were treated as common issues within the group, were observed.
