Importance of Recognizing Unconscious Bias

Abstract

In promoting gender equality, the influence of unconscious bias is a major issue that cannot be overlooked. This report examines how unconscious bias was embedded in people’s minds and shows its influence. With reference to the results of research conducted at the National Women’s Education Center (NWEC), I discuss how we can overcome unconscious bias.
