Through the outstanding feature of 3D image simulation, EON-XR is an effective support tool in teaching biological structures and processes. Learners can approach Biology knowledge in a more vivid way, easily visualize and have accurate concepts about images, things and phenomena when interacting with them like in the real environment. A 4-steps process was developed when designing a teaching plan that applies virtual reality technology. Some products have been designed using EON-XR virtual reality technology. These products are related to Cell Biology, Biology grade 10th section such as: biomolecules, structure of cells, prokaryotic and eukaryotic cells. Pedagogical experiments have shown that the application of EON-XR helps students deepen their understanding of knowledge and increase interest in the subject. The information technology capacity of students in the experimental class (classes with VR application) was evaluated and higher than that of students in the control class (taught by traditional methods). The results of this study have proved the effectiveness of designing teaching activities with VR applications to improve the quality of teaching Biology in high schools to meet current educational innovation requirements.","PeriodicalId":497792,"journal":{"name":"VNU Journal of Science: Education Research","volume":"14 S1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-06-07","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"141375633","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In Vietnam today, critical thinking has become a quality and capacity that needs to be formed and developed in learners in education and training, which is being fundamentally and comprehensively innovated. This study applies systems theory, critical theory and functional theory and questionnaire survey method to 623 10th grade and 12th grade students of a high school in Hanoi to clarify the development of critical thinking. Most of the students surveyed recognized the content and manifestations of critical thinking with the basic function of solving problems, appreciated the need to develop critical thinking, and all evaluated themselves. Appreciate certain progress in developing critical thinking. The majority of surveyed students chose the most appropriate measure to organize literature education with the goal of developing students' critical thinking. The differences discovered from the perspective of 10th graders and 12th graders may reflect the positive role of education in general and high school Literature education in particular to develop students’ critical thinking.","PeriodicalId":497792,"journal":{"name":"VNU Journal of Science: Education Research","volume":" 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-06-07","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"141373932","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Furthermore, through the use of open-ended questions, the research delved into the causes and reasons behind the lack of interest in the subject of history such as quite long knowledge, many timelines, and difficult to remember; problems from the teacher; the issue belongs to the individual preferences; or the nature of the subject including boring, long, dry, lacking visual images in teaching. An important proposal stemming from the research results is the need to innovate approaches to history subjects by using gamification. The research has shown that integrating gamification into the history learning process can lead to significant improvements in efficiency. In particular, using role-playing games based on historical stories is considered a high-performance solution to enhance interaction and efficiency in the learning process.","PeriodicalId":497792,"journal":{"name":"VNU Journal of Science: Education Research","volume":"18 8","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-01-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139530089","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
