In psychological studies of the transformations of today’s world, it makes sense to use the terms “image of the world” and “world picture” to focus on various sociocultural aspects of the reality under study. The complexity and diversity of youth worldviews in modern conditions are emphasized, which results in the need to differentiate the cultural and psychological aspects of the development of youth communities within society. The author considers interrelation between the formation of the image of the world and the formation of subjectivity; study of individual differences in the construction and transformation of the picture of the world; dynamics of the world picture in a transitive and digital society. The phenomenon of the digital self and the growing environmental concern of young people in connection with the characteristics of modern times are discussed. Among the methodological issues of studying the image of the world of young people in a digital transitive society, it is necessary to highlight a number of aspects: 1) changing the perspective of psychological research – the movement from a closed psychological laboratory to an open everyday world; 2) switching optics – from the normativity of a stable picture of the world to the normalization of the constancy of changes; 3) rethinking the “image of the world” construct in a transitive society – from focusing on the phenomena of perception and social representations to studying the diversity of worldviews and lifestyles; 4) for the integration of thematic (task-oriented) studies of psychology and social sciences – reliance on a transdisciplinary approach; 5) the invention of relevant constructs and concepts in order to systematize a new phenomenology that characterizes the changed state of modern times and the interaction of young people with the digital environment","PeriodicalId":496950,"journal":{"name":"Вестник РГГУ. The author attempts to demonstrate, using the example of teaching in German language the topic “Fine Arts”, that an interdisciplinary approach allows the methodology of retrospective information search to be applied in the analysis of a foreign language text. The foreign language text is considered in the socio-cultural context as an integral information space, which contributes to intercultural communication and dialogue between cultures. The process of teaching a foreign language is viewed not only as a transfer of linguistic knowledge, but also as a means of socializing a person who is ready for the conditions of life in a multinational and multicultural world. The adequacy of the learning process to the real communication becomes one of the methodological requirements for professionally-oriented foreign language learning. The author claims that even knowing German at a sufficiently high level (B2 CEFR), the effectiveness of communication in a foreign language can be reduced due to a lack of knowledge about extralinguistic reality, as language is nothing but a product of the historical development of society and culture. The method of searching for retrospective information in a foreign language educational text is one of the mechanisms to overcome such limitations.","PeriodicalId":496950,"journal":{"name":"Вестник РГГУ. In light of the sanctions imposed by the United States and Western countries and in order to optimize the process of training young competitive specialists, the Department of Foreign Languages of the Russian State University for the Humanities developed the study guide “Advertising”, intended for students of the Department of Advertising and Public Relations of full-time, and part-time forms of learning. Its purpose is the formation of skills and abilities that allow RSUH students to master professional competencies in English as the means of effective interactions in specific socially determined communicative situations of business communication in the chosen specialty. The study guide “Advertising” implements the features of the communicative methodology: the principles of speech orientation, clarity, novelty, functionality, personal orientation, situational requirements. Due to the large volume of language practice, students develop the ability to freely express their thoughts in a foreign language, develop skills to convey their thoughts to the interlocutor in an understandable and concise form, take part in discussions, make reports and presentations. The monologue utterance has the following features: purposefulness, continuous nature of the presentation of ideas and material, consistency, semantic completeness, independence, expressiveness. Monologue speech is characterized by compliance with a rather complex compositional structure, which is determined by the need to use appropriate language tools for grammatically correct design of a logical and consistent presentation of thought.","PeriodicalId":496950,"journal":{"name":"Вестник РГГУ. While doing the research on patriotism it is only but natural to take into consideration all its positive connotations, but it won’t be good to ignore the opposite views according to which patriots are often blamed for “blind” non-alternative pursue to the duty and power and patriotism itself – for the separation from the universal values with their further substitution for nationalistic values. One more issue raised in the article deals with the discrepancy between the estimation of Russian youngsters’ level of patriotism by sociologists and officials on the one hand and that given by experts. One of the reasons for this is an attempt of many to simplify, and thus distort, the phenomenon of patriotism. To debunk the myth, the author attempts to analyze a number of different types of patriotism (alternative, non-alternative, constitutional) considering them from the point of view of Russian and foreign researchers as well as through the prism of official symbolic (coat of arms, flag, hymn) and various social installations expressed by Fatherland, Motherland and Homeland concepts.","PeriodicalId":496950,"journal":{"name":"Вестник РГГУ. The article aims to explore the conditions for ensuring effective written corrective feedback (WCF) between a teacher and a student in professional foreign language education. The method for studying the effectiveness of WCF in the locus of creating argumentative essays based on video lectures hosted by TED.com was the analysis of written assignments of the MA of the Department of Economics, the RGGU, involved in the academic work on the basis of a feedback loop, and the results of their survey. Diagnosis of WCF types in the corridor of cross-professional competencies development reveals the preference for a combination of indirect feedback and metalinguistic commenting for MA with B2-C2 language proficiency. The article presents the structural elements of peer review as the key feedback format in the teacher’s control of written work, the criteria for mutual evaluation of students’ written tasks in peer editing, and provides recommendations for producing WCF in the perspective of academic discourse socialization. The author concludes that WCF is part and parcel of the methodological strategy in the professional foreign language education process, which develops highly cognitive complex skills along with Self Skills and Soft Skills. The article alludes to the Russian films “Feedback”, 2017 and 2020, as a parallel line of artistic thought.","PeriodicalId":496950,"journal":{"name":"Вестник РГГУ. The choice of studying Spanish as a component of the trend of continuity of education leads to the need to create an individual educational route. The article examines the ways of forming the educational trajectory of teaching Spanish in the context of the development of intercultural communication and the increasing need of an individual for personal improvement. The study demonstrates the possibilities of choosing the forms of learning a foreign language in the Russian and Spanish educational systems, which contributes to the development of universal and, accordingly, professional competencies necessary for personal growth. The leading factor for building an individual educational route is the need for communication in foreign languages, hence the priority of the communicative method as the main form of organization of foreign language teaching. The paper considers the peculiarities of foreign language teaching styles, their connection with educational historical and cultural traditions and information technologies. The study is based on a comparative analysis of the forms of linguistic and non-linguistic education in Russia and Spain, which helps to form an individual educational route for the student. The result of the study demonstrates for the student the possibilities of obtaining linguistic and non-linguistic education in domestic and foreign teaching practices and building an individual educational route taking into account personal needs and professional motivations.","PeriodicalId":496950,"journal":{"name":"Вестник РГГУ. A student cannot independently perceive and recognize their own errors, which is why the teacher plays an important role in correcting them, whereas tact is important to prevent the loss of motivation for the subject. A wrong approach to dealing with errors often leads to communication barriers that contradict the learning goals. What is important is what happens in the students’ minds just before they make a false statement. The teacher may get the impression of a mistake made, while in some cases it is the lack of mutual understanding with the student due to a difference in the worldviews. The students’ language product can be alienated by the teacher due to the unawareness of the intention of the statement and misunderstanding its real meaning. To prevent such a distortion of meaning, it is important for the teacher to pay attention to the error and clarify the actual intention of the speaker. Of course, there is a difference between beginners and advanced students in regards to error correction. Students of the initial stage often make semantic errors that can be interpreted unambiguously. Students of the advanced stage possess linguistic, discursive, pragmatic and sociocultural competencies and have experience in communicating in a foreign language. Therefore, their choice of certain speech instruments is associated with the reflection of meanings filled with individual, authorial content.","PeriodicalId":496950,"journal":{"name":"Вестник РГГУ. The study of parenthood requires a systematic approach, including the study of not only the nature of the relationship of parents to their children, the style characteristics of education, but also the image, social ideas about parenthood in modern society. The image of an ideal parent within a certain social context determines the main value orientations for the implementation of parental functions and sets the norms for interaction with children. Characteristics of parenthood have a specific impact on various aspects of socialization in the space of communication between the child and adults and coevals, determining the successful nature of the child’s socialization as a whole. As a result of the study, it was found that such indicators of parenthood as acceptance of oneself as a parent, consistency in the image of parenthood, authority and the ability to manage the state of the child are associated with the success of the child’s socialization in the space of communication with a social adult. Such indicators as the degree of acceptance, emotional sensitivity of the parent to the child, adequate expectations in relation to the child are associated with the success of the child’s socialization in the space of socialization with coevals.","PeriodicalId":496950,"journal":{"name":"Вестник РГГУ. It contributed to the digitalization of everyday life, which affected the work of the adult generation and the studies of schoolchildren and students, as well as even leisure activities. The profession of a psychologist involves a wide range of communications, what under the circumstances impels to use online services in their work. The study involved 60 respondents aged 18 to 22 years. Among them were students of the Faculty of Preschool Pedagogy and Psychology of the Moscow State Pedagogical University. A new questionnaire was used with standard answers within the Leuckart scale about attitudes towards the COVID-19 pandemic, communication during a pandemic, and distance learning. Psychology students demonstrated a high readiness to switch to a remote format of study and work, if necessary. The results of the study confirmed that the majority of psychology students have a responsible attitude towards the COVID-19 pandemic. It may be due to the fact that they are studying at a pedagogical university and they are influenced by the professional environment. Only a third of the respondents show nihilistic views regarding the COVID-19 pandemic. At the same time, it was shown that there is a direct relationship between the nature of the attitude towards the pandemic and the willingness to switch to distance learning. Students who have demonstrated a responsible attitude towards the pandemic also have a positive attitude towards distance learning. On the contrary, students who had a nihilistic attitude towards the disease, respectively, show a negative attitude towards online learning. That was probably because the respondents who showed a responsible attitude to the COVID-19 pandemic turned out to be more adaptive and able to gain positive experience from a stressful life situation.","PeriodicalId":496950,"journal":{"name":"Вестник РГГУ.
