West Kalimantan Province is one of the provinces with the lowest MYS rates in Indonesia, with only one out of its 13 districts/cities fulfilling the compulsory education policy. Therefore, research is needed to obtain the best model and understand the factors that influence the MYS districts/cities of West Kalimantan Province. This study uses the Geographically Weighted Panel Regression (GWPR) analysis method, due to the annual changes in MYS numbers indicating time effects in data and differences in MYS numbers in each district/city indicating differences in characteristics between regions. GWPR is a combination of panel data regression model and geographically weighted regression (GWR) model. The results showed that the best model obtained is the GWPR adaptive bisquare model with an AIC value of -147.241 and R2 value of 80.07%. The variables of per capita income, dependency ratio, literacy rate, and the number of schools significantly influence MYS, and four groups of regions are formed based on significant variables.","PeriodicalId":492883,"journal":{"name":"International journal of social science and human research","volume":"10 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-06-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"141267346","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This pedagogy's main goal is to encourage students to learn via first-hand experience while also making amazing memories. Students can also benefit from these experiences as effective resources that can advance them and enhance the educational system as a whole. It is imperative that teachers develop appropriate teaching and learning strategies in an appropriate manner in order to meet these goals. By using this pedagogy, it is ensured that the students can understand the teacher. For students of all ages, toy-based pedagogy can be a useful strategy. With toys, students can explore, imagine, observe, create, express, and above all-engage in play. The process of creating toys and then playing with them can help foster a variety of skills both inside and outside of the classroom. This quantitative study determined the impact of mental health and stress levels among Criminology faculty in relation to their learning resource development. It was conducted at the selected schools in the province od Zamboanga del Sur that offers a Criminology program. There were 108 criminology faculty who served as the study's respondents and were chosen through purposive sampling. The instruments used in this study were the Mental Health Survey, Stress level Questionnaire, and Learning Resource Development. The findings showed that the level of mental health among the Criminology faculty was high. The level of stress among the Criminology faculty was average. Therefore, the level of learning resources development among the Criminology faculty was very high. Mental health is no significant relationship to learning resource development. However, wellbeing and positive mental health are highly significant in learning resource development. The level of stress is no significant relationship to learning resource development. Positive mental health is a significant predictor of learning resource development. Thus, anxiety and stress do not predict learning resource development. It is recommended that further studies be c onducted using strong qualitative tools to investigate the level of stress and mental health related to learning resource development.","PeriodicalId":492883,"journal":{"name":"International journal of social science and human research","volume":"81 11","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-04-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140665483","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In recent years, with population growth and the need for socio-economic development, island urban development has been given top priority to create a suitable living and working environment for residents. At the same time, it protects the marine environment and ensures national security and defense. Besides the benefits that island urban development brings, there are negative impacts on island resources and the environment due to massive urban development. In particular, in a context where the world increasingly faces challenges of climate change, environmental pollution, and economic competition, sustainable island urban development is urgent. From a comprehensive perspective of geographical science based on synthesizing research documents on island urban areas, this article clarifies the future trend of island urban development, which requires attention to the unique characteristics of islands, if you want to develop sustainable island urban areas in the future, you need to follow the philosophy \"Relying on Nature - Suitable for land - Harmony of people\".","PeriodicalId":492883,"journal":{"name":"International journal of social science and human research","volume":"27 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-04-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140664374","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In other words, learning involves a transformation in an individual's understanding and knowledge over time due to interaction with the environment and their experiences. Behaviorism theory, as one of the psychological foundations of language teaching, states that learning is a change in one's behavior resulting from a response to a stimulus. In contrast, the theory of cognitivism emphasizes the important role of the learner's mind in the learning process. An individual's mental processes, understanding and thinking play a major role in the comprehension and reception of information. Thus, the theory of behaviorism has a different meaning from the theory of cognitivism. In this article, the author exposes the strong connection between behaviorism and cognitivism theories in the Arabic language learning process. This article is written using descriptive qualitative method. The author presents data taken from Arabic language learning videos, which found that the theories of behaviorism and cognitivism have strong implications for the Arabic language learning process.","PeriodicalId":492883,"journal":{"name":"International journal of social science and human research","volume":"68 32","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-04-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140664064","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This study looks into the elements that affect students' ability to appraise themselves in the General Education Program of 2018, with an emphasis on primary teachers in Vietnam's northern mountainous areas. The exploratory factor analysis, or EFA, methodology is used in this article. In order to conduct the poll, primary school teachers in Vietnam's northern highland regions were given 28 questions. Four major characteristics are found to have an impact on learners' evaluation abilities by the General Education Program 2018, based on a sample size of 149 participants. These variables include: 1) How teachers view assessment; 2) How students feel about assessment activities; 3) The supervision and direction provided by educational administrators; and 4) The degree to which teachers use assessment techniques. Finding these important variables makes it easier for school administrators to put policies into place that will improve teachers' abilities to assess students, which will improve how well the teaching process is carried out and raise the caliber and competency of the 2018 General Education Program. Moreover, this study might be used as a guide by future researchers who want to investigate fresh research ideas in this field.","PeriodicalId":492883,"journal":{"name":"International journal of social science and human research","volume":"122 5","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-04-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140669552","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
