But in 2022 unlike Ukraine and Moldova, it was denied the status of candidate member of EU. Despite the fact that she received candidate status in 2023 it is not clear whether the development of the country to democracy had stopped or not. This determined the purpose of the article to reveal the resilience of the democratic evolution of Georgia, which has not been studed yet. The article is founded on the contextual holism. Using cyclical approach, by means of case study and historical chronological methods the democratic evolution of Georgia is studed. Unenterrupted charactere of it indicates the high resilience of this evolution. It has been continued even under the conditions of authoritarian regimes.Three cycles of democratization and three cycles of athoritarization is discerned and their chronological frameworks are determined. High recilience of democratic evolution is explained by the higher level of the democratic potential of Georgia, which stopped the strngthening of authoritrian prassure. Geographical proximity to Europe and Christianity Added values of the article are : the detection of high resilience of the democcratic evalution of Georgia and contribution of authoritarian regimes to the democratic evolution; investigation of the role of democratic potential and westernization in this process. Cycles of democratization is distingished and their chronology established and the present phase of the transition to the democracy is identified. Variables of resilience of democratic evolution and authoritarianization are revealed. Enfluence of invasion of Russia in Ukraine on democratization is studed.","PeriodicalId":492883,"journal":{"name":"International journal of social science and human research","volume":"43 30","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-07-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"141645243","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The design of this test aims to measure the scientific literacy abilities of eighth grade students at SMP Unismuh Makassar. The design of this test was developed based on core competencies and basic competencies and adapted to scientific literacy indicators, especially in science learning material on the topic of Optical Instruments which includes aspects of explaining scientific phenomena, evaluating and designing scientific research, as well as aspects of interpreting scientific data and evidence which are then formulated into 5 questions in the form of essay questions. The method used in this research is the descriptive analysis method as content validity analysis based on Lawshe’s formula calculations which have become known as the CVR and I-CVI coefficients. Content validity data was obtained from validation results from five experts with different expertise backgrounds in the field of science education. The expert validation results were then analysed to determine the level of content validity of the PISA-science literacy test which was developed using the Lawshe’s formula. The research results showed that the CVR coefficient value obtained was 0.99 with a total of five expert judgments, so it was declared accepted. Further analysis was obtained by obtaining an I-CVI coefficient value of 0.99 with the appropriate category. Based on the CVR and I-CVI coefficient values, it can be concluded that the content validity of the PISA-science literacy test developed is in the appropriate category and supports the entire content of the test as a whole.","PeriodicalId":492883,"journal":{"name":"International journal of social science and human research","volume":"51 23","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-07-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"141644565","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The sample consisted of two classes of second year baccalaureate Arts stream students studying at the same public high school. The classes which were chosen for either the experimental and control group were pretested using a reading comprehension text test. The treatment lasted for a period of eight weeks. After the experiment, participants were then post-tested using the same test scale. Students who underwent the treatment (literature circles) were randomly assigned to groups of seven or eight students, and were given a role to assume and a short story to read. After reading the story independently and completing their role sheets, students discussed the story within their small groups. The data collected were subjected to descriptive and inferential statistical analyses. The results of the study indicated that there was a positive effect of literature circles on reading comprehension skills (summarizing, inferencing, and paraphrasing); the experimental group gained higher scores on the short answer-test compared to the control group. The results were interpreted using the t-test for independent samples. The t-test revealed that the difference between students who were exposed to the use of literature circles and those who were taught in the ordinary way was significant.","PeriodicalId":492883,"journal":{"name":"International journal of social science and human research","volume":"23 11","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-07-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"141649214","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Children with stunting are prone to poor of cognitive development and intelligent, metabolic disease, and lack of immune systems to prevent chronic diseases such as diabetes and cancer. Java is one of the most populous island in Indonesia with high prevalent of stunting in 2021. The high population density results in less access to the right to a healthy life, triggering the problem of stunting. Therefore, it is important to conduct research to determine the factors that influence stunting toddlers in districts/cities on the island of Java. The different percentage of stunted toddlers in each district/city on the island of Java shows that there are differences in the characteristics of each region due to the factors behind it, causing spatial heterogeneity. Therefore, the appropriate method used in this study is Geographically Weighted Regression (GWR). GWR is one of the developments of multiple linear regression models that take into account the location of the region. Spatial influence is considered in the construction of GWR model. The results showed that there were six groups of districts/cities based on predictor variables that had a significant effect on stunting toddlers, then exclusive breastfeeding and proper sanitation became the dominant predictor variables that had a significant effect on stunting toddlers in all districts/cities in Java Island.","PeriodicalId":492883,"journal":{"name":"International journal of social science and human research","volume":"56 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-07-13","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"141651723","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This shift emphasizes the importance of holistic education based on intended learning outcomes and suitable processes. Using the pragmatic research paradigm, the study sought to identify stakeholder attitudes and feelings regarding student involvement vis-à-vis quality assurance processes and outcomes. The study targeted 15 quality assurance officers and Student Representative Council members per institution. Results, the main findings: Findings underscore that to a large extent, this is not the case among higher education institutions, buttressing the need for student-involvement in quality-assurance and promotion initiatives. Higher education institutions should balance student-involvement in quality-assurance processes without compromising the same desired quality. Faced with the paradox, higher education institutions tend to involve students only peripherally in important academic quality-assurance processes short-changing them thereby. Correspondingly, trends should move from university-centred evaluation of teaching and learning towards student-centred evaluation of teaching and learning. Conclusions, brief summary and potential implications: Consistently followed, evidence indicates universities that have reacted to student feedback through enhancing their participation have student-satisfaction, closely related to clear, tangible action taken. Students of STEM can, and should be engaged as ‘producers and products’ at all levels of quality assurance processes, from academic boards to working with staff developing innovative teaching materials.","PeriodicalId":492883,"journal":{"name":"International journal of social science and human research","volume":"36 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-07-13","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"141650847","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Questionnaires were sent to all MoF employees by online using the MoF Forms, but only 3,009 respondents returned the questionnaire and 3,000 were processed because 9 respondents gave the same response to all questionnaire items. Analyses were carried out using descriptive analysis and MANOVA, while hypothesis testing was carried out using Partial Least Square method. The research results show that organizational values, employee engagement and individual factors have a significant influence on employee engagement and performance, which also proves that the SOR model can also be applied to government institutions. From the MANOVA method, it is proven that there are differences between length of service, age, gender and echelon I units regarding the values of the Ministry of Finance. Meanwhile, for individual factors and conservative variables, only the Gen X category that are different from the category of Gen Y, while the other categories are not different.","PeriodicalId":492883,"journal":{"name":"International journal of social science and human research","volume":"56 13","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-07-13","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"141651712","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The internet has not only increased the scope and anonymity of traffickers, but it has also made it more difficult to combat these crimes due to transactions and exchanges taking place in the hidden realms of cyberspace. In spite its ubiquity, very few studies have looked into the subject of interest in a localised lens. Thus, this study is conducted to empirically assess the influence of exposure in sex trafficking through social media platforms on the level of participation of cybersex trafficking in Cantilan, Surigao Del Sur, Philippines. The study also delved into testing the possible moderating role of self-concept on the association of the said variables. Using 337 structured survey responses from conveniently sampled individuals, the results of the study showed that a moderate level of both exposure and participation was present in the observed group. In addition, the moderation analysis further demonstrated that exposure significantly influences participation, confirming that individuals who frequently encounter suspicious profiles, unsolicited messages, and related advertisements are more likely to engage in cybersex trafficking activities. Finally, the analysis conducted also proved that self-concept significantly moderates the influence of exposure to sex trafficking through social media on the level of participation in cybersex trafficking, was also supported by the data. Thus, the interaction between exposure and self-concept was found to be significant, indicating that self-concept indeed moderates this relationship.","PeriodicalId":492883,"journal":{"name":"International journal of social science and human research","volume":"46 9","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-07-13","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"141652223","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
