This research has the following objectives: 1) to know the implementation of organisational management functions in YSU Esports Community, 2) to know the form of sports organisational structure in YSU Esports Community, 3) to know the implementation of leadership styles and functions in YSU Esports Community. This research uses a qualitative research approach with a case study research type. The data sources for this research were eleven people consisting of the chairman, secretary-treasurer, advisor and board members of YSU Esports Community. Data collection techniques used observation, in-depth interviews and documentation. The data validity test was carried out by triangulating sources and triangulating techniques. The data analysis method used is data analysis that refers to Miles & Huber man with an analysis strategy, specifically data reduction, data display and conclusion drawing. The results of this research indicated that: 1) the implementation of management functions in YSU Esports Community, especially in the Planning, Organising, Actuating, Controlling aspects, has been going well, although the organising and actuating aspects still need to be optimised and reviewed. The implementation of these two aspects is constrained by ineffective forms of communication, then the determination of roles and responsibilities does not have clear standards for occupying positions in the organisational structure and the method of mobilisation used has not maximised the performance of the board members, 2) the form of organisational structure used by YSU Esports Community is included in the category of bureaucratic structures, 3) the application of leadership styles and functions in YSU Esports Community affects the process of running the organisational work program. Generally, the leadership style applied by the chairman of this organisation is more dominant in the ethical leadership type, this is manifested by the way the chairman manages the organisation by positioning himself as a good counsellor and being able to become an intermediary between management.","PeriodicalId":488884,"journal":{"name":"International journal of physical education, sports and health","volume":"7 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135348662","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

To achieve the purpose of the study, sixty (60) adolescent boys were selected randomly as subjects from the St. Francis. Higher Secondary School, Vavarai, Tamil Nadu, India. The selected subjects were randomly assigned into one of three groups of twenty (n=20) each, such as group I underwent progressive resistance training, group II underwent plyometric training and Group III control group who was asked to refrain from any special training except their leisure time pursuit. The duration of training period for 12 weeks and the number of sessions per week was confined to three alternative days, in addition to the regular schedule of the curriculum. The independent variables were progressive resistance training and plyometric training and the dependent variables such as body weight, BMI, Percent body fat were selected for this study. The standardized tests were used to collect relevant data on the selected dependent variables such as weighing machine, BMI method by using peters formula and skin fold caliper respectively. The collected data from the three groups prior to and immediately after the training programme on selected criterion variables were statistically analyzed with dependent ‘t’ test to find out the significant improvement between pre and post- test means of both groups. The level of significance was fixed at .05 levels, which was considered to be appropriate.","PeriodicalId":488884,"journal":{"name":"International journal of physical education, sports and health","volume":"21 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134995530","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
{"title":"The effect of the SWOM strategy on the methods of guiding the teacher and peers to learn swome offensive handball skills for students","authors":"Abbas Taha Hussein","doi":"10.22271/kheljournal.2023.v10.i5a.3069","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.22271/kheljournal.2023.v10.i5a.3069","url":null,"abstract":"The primary objective of this study was to develop educational units utilizing the strategy known as \"SWOM\" in the methods of teacher guidance and pairing. These units were designed to teach various offensive skills in handball to the participants of the research sample. Additionally, the study aimed to assess the effectiveness of these units and determine the impact of employing the SWOM strategy in both teacher guidance and peer-based learning approaches for the second stage sample. The present study aimed to compare two methods in the post-test phase of the study's variables. It was assumed that there would be statistically significant differences between the pre-and post-test results of the experimental and control groups in terms of learning offensive skills in handball among student participants. Additionally, it was expected that similar differences would be observed in the post-test results between the two groups for the variables being investigated. The researcher utilized an experimental approach to ensure equivalence between the experimental and control groups in terms of the pre-and post-test. The educational units were administered to a sample of 30 students, with 10 students randomly selected from each division. This sample represented 38.46% of the overall research community. The researcher implemented their expertise in both methods by delivering one educational unit per week over a period of 8 weeks. Subsequently, post-tests were conducted. The collected data were analyzed using appropriate statistical methods to fulfill the research objectives. The researcher has derived significant findings, indicating that both methods employed had a discernible influence on enhancing offensive skill proficiency. Notably, the strategy (SWOM) implemented with peer guidance exhibited a preference for improving performance levels compared to the strategy (SWOM) implemented under the guidance of the teacher, as well as the control group that adhered to the teacher-led method.","PeriodicalId":488884,"journal":{"name":"International journal of physical education, sports and health","volume":"75 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135200644","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Design/Methodology/Approach: The thirty five (n= 35) male sprinters participated at state/ inter-collegiate level competitions of their age range 16 to 21 years were purposively selected as subjects from eastern districts of Haryana State, India. The acceleration ability by 30 m run test, speed by 50 m run test, speed endurance by 100 Mts. Run, leg strength by standing broad jump and stride frequency by high knee action and back kick test were measured in two different five nails and seven nails track spikes running conditions of sprinters. To calculate the mean difference between different running conditions mean, SD and t ‘ratio’ were test conducted; Findings: A statistical significant mean difference were observed for acceleration run ability, speed endurance, front and back stride frequencies ability in both two running conditions, whereas there were exist insignificant mean difference among different running conditions i.e., speed ability and leg strength ability of sprinters. Conclusion: It is concluded that the sprinters performed better with 7 nails track spikes as compared to 5 nails track spikes running conditions in acceleration run ability and speed endurance, hence sprinters had more stride frequencies in 5 nails track spikes as compare to 7 nails track spikes running conditions. Originality/values: The study provides a succinct introduction to the use of five and seven nails track spikes during practices and competitions and makes an innovative contribution by focusing on, how number of spikes nails helps in acceleration zone and in stride frequency.","PeriodicalId":488884,"journal":{"name":"International journal of physical education, sports and health","volume":"34 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-05-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135563157","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
