These data underline the importance of muscle endurance as an important component of fitness in football players. The frequent alteration of activities, numerous accelerations and decelerations, change of directions, and execution of various technical skills during a play contribute to higher injury rates in elite football players. Unpredictable events like twisting, and pivoting occur very commonly but there is a dearth of literature evaluating these fast components.Subjects and Methods: The correlational study consists of 43 male elite football players. Subjects were recruited through convenient sampling. They were screened as per inclusion and exclusion criteria. Agility was evaluated using the agility t-test. The best of three readings were taken. The seven male walkers were randomly selected amongst the 22 walkers of the AIIU Athletic (Men and Women) Championship-2000 organised by G.N.D. University, Amritsar (Punjab). Each athlete was analysed in terms of 53 different variables, viz., anthropometric (39), compositional (13) and performance (1). Physique was quantified in term of stature corrected percentage deviation scores of muscular and non-muscular body girth. Body composition was assessed by measuring skinfold thickness, body fat by using equation of Katch and McArdle (1973) and body density by Siri (1956) equation. The performance of the walkers was assessed on the basis of their rank in the competition. Most of the variables of physique and body composition except elbow diameter had lower value as compared to reference man of Behnke and Wilmore (1974). BMI analysis indicates that one walker (chest no. 292) having BMI less than 18.5 was underweight that might be due to the vigorous training or malnutrition. Only three amongst the selected athletes secured position in the 6th place qualifying standard, i.e., 1 hour 46 minutes 50 second. Study did not reveal any relationship between anthropometric variables and performance.","PeriodicalId":488884,"journal":{"name":"International journal of physical education, sports and health","volume":"13 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135484560","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The age group of selected subjects ranged from 16 to 30 years. The requirement for the collection of data through the administration of three questionnaires was explained to the subject to avoid any ambiguity regarding the effort required on their part and before the administration of the questionnaire. The entire subject participated and responded to the questionnaire without bias.Results: The variables are inversely connected because if the level of passion increases then automatically the chances of burnout will be decreased.Conclusions: The findings of the study revealed the significance of both passion and burnout. Several studies have been conducted in different parts of the world to assess the relationship between passion and burnout. In this study, the researcher found that passion and burnout are negatively correlated with burnout. University football players who are passionate have very decreased levels of burnout.","PeriodicalId":488884,"journal":{"name":"International journal of physical education, sports and health","volume":"23 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134994551","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
