Objective: the current study aimed to understand the effect of the Learning Cycle 7E assisted by monopoly physics games toward learning activities and learning outcomes of high school students in kinetics theory of gases. Methods: Using quasi-experimental research with a quantitative approach and posttest-only control group design. The population is class XI IPA SMA Muhammadiyah 3 Jember and the sample is class XI IPA 1 (control) using the discussion and question and answer method then XI IPA 3 (experiment) using the 7E Learning Cycle model assisted by a monopoly physics game. Finding: The results of the activity t-test and student learning outcomes at SMA Muhammadiyah 3 Genteng obtained sig. (2-tailed) smaller than 0.05. Conclusion: The Learning Cycle 7E learning model assisted by the monopoly physics game influences the activities and results of high school students physics learning on the subject of gas kinetic theory. Abstrak: Pengaruh Model Pembelajaran Learning Cycle 7E berbantuan Permainan Monopoli Fisika terhadap Aktivitas dan Hasil Belajar Fisika Siswa pada Materi Teori Kinetika Gas. Tujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran Learning Cycle 7E berbantuan permainan monopoli fisika terhadap aktivitas dan hasil belajar siswa SMA. Metode: Penelitian quasi eksperimen ini menerapkan desain posttest only control design. Siswa kelas XI IPA SMA Muhammadiyah 3 Jember sebagai populasi sedangkan kelas XI IPA 1 (kelas kontrol) dan XI IPA 3 (kelas eksperimen) dipilih sebagai sampel. Kelas kontrol menerapkan metode diskusi dan tanya jawab sedangkan kelas eksperimen dengan Learning Cycle 7E berbantuan permainan monopoli fisika. Temuan: Perbandingan aktivitas dan hasil belajar terhadap dua kelompok penelitian diperoleh informasi nilai sig. (2-tailed) lebih kecil dari 0,05. Kesimpulan: Model pembelajaran Learning Cycle 7E berbantuan permainan monopoli fisika berpengaruh signifikan terhadap aktivitas dan hasil belajar fisika siswa SMA pada pokok bahasan teori kinetik gas. Objective: The study aimed to design, implement, and evaluate an online teacher professional development (oTPD) training program and develop the TPACK skills of private e-tutors as evidenced by their lesson design and teaching demonstration performance. Methods: A mixed method in data gathering such as TPACK survey, pre-post-performance, and feedbacking was utilized. The input-process-output method with the PRIME framework in the process stage was used. The training program design was evaluated by experts anchored with the frameworks and theories with the synchronous form of learning for 20 contact hours. Findings: Findings revealed a significant mean gain between the pre-post-performance of the teachers’ lesson design and teaching demonstration. Conclusion: The online teacher professional development training program developed and enhanced the teachers’ TPACK skills. The study proposed guidelines for conducting oTPD training programs and compilation of lesson designs based on the TPACK framework. Abstrak: Pengembangan dan Pemanfaatan Program Pengembangan Profesi Guru Online untuk Meningkatkan Keterampilan TPACK e-Tutor Privat. Tujuan: Studi ini bertujuan untuk merancang, mengimplementasikan, dan mengevaluasi program pelatihan pengembangan profesional guru online (oTPD) dan mengembangkan keterampilan TPACK dari e-tutor privat yang dibuktikan dengan desain pembelajaran dan kinerja demonstrasi pengajaran mereka. Metode: Metode campuran dalam pemerolehan data seperti survei TPACK, pra-pasca-kinerja, dan umpan balik diterapkan. Metode input-proses-output dengan kerangka kerja PRIME pada tahap proses digunakan. Rancangan program pelatihan dievaluasi oleh para ahli yang tertaut pada kerangka dan teori dengan bentuk pembelajaran sinkron selama 20 jam. Temuan: Temuan mengungkapkan gain rata-rata yang signifikan antara kinerja sebelum dan sesudah implementasi desain pembelajaran dan demonstrasi mengajar guru. Kesimpulan: Program pelatihan pengembangan profesi guru online berhasil mengembangkan dan meningkatkan keterampilan TPACK guru. Penelitian ini menghasilkan pedoman pelaksanaan program pelatihan oTPD dan penyusunan desain pembelajaran berdasarkan kerangka kerja TPACK. Objective: This study aims to comprehensively understand the influence of perceptions of personality and social environment on the communication skills of high school teachers. Methods: The research approach is quantitative with a survey method. The total sample is 209 teachers as a sample of 439 teacher population in Central Java Province, Indonesia by simple random sampling method. Data analysis used prerequisite analysis test and inferential statistics with path analysis. Findings: Analysis and interpretation of the data shows that an increase in the dominant type of flexibility of the teacher’s personality improves the teacher’s communication skills. The increased similarity of perceptions of the teacher’s social environment results in an increase in the teacher’s communication skills. Increasing the dominant type of teacher personality flexibility results in an increase in the similarity of perceptions of the teacher’s social environment. Conclusion: improving teacher communication skills can be conducted by improving personality flexibility and perception of the social environment. Keywords: communication skills, personality, social environment, path analysis Abstrak: Meningkatkan Keterampilan Komunikasi Guru melalui Variabel Kepribadian dan Persepsi Lingkungan Sosial. Tujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memahami secara komprehensif pengaruh persepsi kepribadian dan lingkungan sosial terhadap kemampuan komunikasi guru Sekolah Menengah Atas. Metode: Pendekatan penelitian adalah kuantitatif dengan metode survey. Jumlah sampel adalah 209 guru sebagai sampel dari 439 populasi guru di Provinsi Jawa Tengah, Indonesia dengan metode simple random sampling. Analisis data menggunakan uji analisis prasyarat dan statistik inferensial dengan analisis jalur. Temuan: Analisis dan interpretasi data menunjukkan bahwa peningkatan tipe fleksibilitas kepribadian guru yang dominan meningkatkan kemampuan komunikasi guru. Meningkatnya kesamaan persepsi lingkungan sosial guru mengakibatkan meningkatnya kemampuan komunikasi guru. Peningkatan tipe fleksibilitas kepribadian guru yang dominan mengakibatkan peningkatan kesamaan persepsi lingkungan sosial guru. Kesimpulan: meningkatkan kemampuan komunikasi guru dapat dilakukan dengan meningkatkan fleksibilitas kepribadian dan persepsi lingkungan sosial. Methods: Multiple Case study design was used to emerge possible factors that can be attributed to the movement capability of the students. Eight cases were considered to provide the narratives on the attributes of movement capability. Findings: Using the Braun and Clarke's method of analysis, the findings reveal that the attribution of movement capability in physical activity is enclosed in the biological inheritance, movement affordance, peer influence, and internal motivation of the students. Conclusion: It is concluded that movement capability of an individual can be attributed to the different factors. In the context of physical education program, enhancing the students' capability in physical activity performance, the activity must be encouraging, challenging, enjoyable, and sociable to create positive and active students’ participation. Keywords: biological inheritance, internal motivation, movement affordance, physical activity. Abstrak: Atribut Kemampuan Gerak Siswa dalam Aktivitas Fisik: Suatu Studi Kasus Berganda. Tujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji dan menjelaskan atribut kemampuan gerak dalam aktivitas fisik siswa berdasarkan pengalaman dan persepsi hidup mereka. Metode: Desain Studi Kasus Berganda digunakan untuk mengungkap faktor-faktor yang mungkin terkait dengan kemampuan gerak siswa. Delapan kasus dianggap memberikan narasi tentang atribut kemampuan gerak. Temuan: Dengan menggunakan metode analisis Braun dan Clarke, temuan mengungkapkan bahwa atribusi kemampuan gerak dalam aktivitas fisik tercakup dalam warisan biologis, keterjangkauan gerak, pengaruh teman sebaya, dan motivasi internal siswa. Kesimpulan: Disimpulkan bahwa kemampuan gerak individu dapat dikaitkan dengan berbagai faktor. Dalam konteks program pendidikan jasmani, untuk meningkatkan kemampuan siswa dalam penampilan aktivitas jasmani, kegiatan tersebut harus bersifat mendorong, menantang, menyenangkan, dan bersosialisasi untuk menciptakan partisipasi siswa yang positif dan aktif. Objectives: The purpose of the research was to investigate the management abilities of administrators, teachers, and non-teaching personnel, as well as organizational concerns to propose recommendations to solve this issues. Methods: This study used sequential explanatory mixed methods research with two phases of data gathering and analysis. It collects and analyzes quantitative data through survey questions before gathering qualitative data through focus group discussions (FDG). Findings: Following the four organizational cultures - clan, market, adhocracy, and hierarchy - the diverse management abilities of administrators, teachers, and non-teaching staff are described by the study’s findings. In addition, the fundamental difficulties of rural community colleges in terms of organizational performance and adaptation, organizational weakness, and internal conflict are discussed. The research also produces the REACT model for change management based on its results. Conclusion: Community colleges in rural areas must adopt change management that addresses their organizational challenges and is based on their management skills. Furthermore, additional funding, assistance programs, and manual development for academics and staff are proposed. With this, the researchers conducted a study on the feasibility of the home-based experiments as well as the satisfaction and experiences of secondary-level teachers. Methods: Through a stratified random sampling from northern, southern, and metro Cebu in Central Visayas, Philippines, 45 teachers performed the experiment, answered the survey questionnaire, and were interviewed about their experiences. Data was collected and analyzed using descriptive and thematic analyses. Findings: The results showed that the home-based experiments were very feasible in terms of independent learning (μ=4.52, SD=0.50), resource availability (μ=4.25, SD=0.43), and safety considerations (μ=4.28, SD=0.68), as well as feasible according to adult supervision (μ=2.48, SD=1.06). Moreover, the experiments produced a very positive experience (μ=4.72, SD=0.40), which can be attributed to resource availability (ρ=0.574, p=0.000) and safety considerations (ρ=0.415, p=0.004). Furthermore, the teachers encountered opportunities, overcame challenges, and proposed improvements to the experiment. Conclusion: The home-based experiments on natural acid-base indicators are very feasible and highly satisfactory. Objective: The goal of this study is to characterize the teaching strategies, methods of instruction and strategies in encouraging responsibilities for learning in the new normal. Methods: The study used a descriptive method of research to assess the extent of teaching strategies to enhance students’ lifelong learning competencies. The respondents were the teachers in public senior high schools in the province of Ilocos Sur, Philippines. A questionnaire was used to collect pertinent data and it was analyzed using frequency count, percentage and mean. Findings: The results revealed that teaching strategies used by teachers in the new normal is characterized by giving complex activities, practicing social negotiation introducing multiple perspectives giving activities to exercise ownership of learning valuing self-awareness in knowledge construction which is assumed to develop lifelong learning practices. Conclusion: Teachers hone lifelong learning competencies through engaging active learning, giving feedbacks, designing meaningful interactions, and respecting diverse ideas. Abstrak: Strategi Mengajar Guru SMA Negeri Dalam Meningkatkan Kompetensi Belajar Seumur Hidup Siswa Pada New Normal. Tujuan: Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengkarakterisasi strategi pengajaran, metode pengajaran dan strategi dalam mendorong tanggung jawab untuk belajar di normal baru. Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif untuk menilai sejauh mana strategi pengajaran dalam meningkatkan kompetensi belajar sepanjang hayat siswa. Respondennya adalah para guru di sekolah menengah atas negeri di provinsi Ilocos Sur, Filipina. Kuesioner digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data terkait dan dianalisis menggunakan jumlah frekuensi, persentase, dan rata-rata. Temuan: Hasil penelitian mengungkapkan bahwa strategi mengajar yang digunakan guru dalam new normal ditandai dengan pemberian aktivitas yang kompleks, praktik negosiasi sosial, pengenalan berbagai perspektif, pemberian aktivitas untuk melatih kepemilikan pembelajaran, menghargai kesadaran diri dalam konstruksi pengetahuan yang diasumsikan dapat mengembangkan praktik pembelajaran sepanjang hayat. Kesimpulan: Guru mengasah kompetensi belajar sepanjang hayat melalui pembelajaran aktif, memberikan umpan balik, merancang interaksi yang bermakna, dan menghargai perbedaan ide. Objective: This study compared the academic performance of the learners in flexible learning (FL) and face-to-face and determined the correlation of student perceptions and academic performance of the students in Technology subjects. Methods: The longitudinal and descriptive correlation research design were employed. Descriptive statistics was used to assess the learners’ academic performance and ascertain their perception in FL. The paired-sample t-test was utilized to determine if there’s a significant difference in the learners’ academic performance. The Pearson Coefficient Binomial Correlation was used to determine if there’s a significant relationship between their perception and academic performance. Findings: The results showed that their academic performance is very high, both FL and face-to-face. Also, the results revealed no significant difference in the learners’ academic performance. Finally, the learners’ perception is moderate, showing no significant relationship between the learners’ perception and academic performance in FL. Keywords: flexible learning, academic performance, students’ perception Abstrak: Prestasi Akademik dan Persepsi Peserta Didik Mata Pelajaran Teknologi: Asesmen Flexible Learning. Tujuan: Penelitian ini membandingkan prestasi akademik peserta didik dalam fleksibel learning (FL) dan tatap muka serta menentukan korelasi persepsi mahasiswa dan prestasi akademik mahasiswa dalam mata pelajaran Teknologi. Metode: Desain penelitian korelasi longitudinal dan deskriptif digunakan. Statistik deskriptif digunakan untuk menilai kinerja akademik peserta didik dan memastikan persepsi mereka dalam FL. Uji-t sampel berpasangan digunakan untuk menentukan apakah ada perbedaan yang signifikan dalam kinerja akademik peserta didik. Korelasi Binomial Koefisien Pearson digunakan untuk menentukan apakah ada hubungan yang signifikan antara persepsi dan prestasi akademik mereka. Temuan: Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa prestasi akademik mereka sangat tinggi, baik FL maupun tatap muka. Juga, hasilnya mengungkapkan tidak ada perbedaan yang signifikan dalam kinerja akademik peserta didik. Akhirnya, persepsi peserta didik adalah sedang, tidak menunjukkan hubungan yang signifikan antara persepsi peserta didik dan prestasi akademik di FL. Objectives: This study examined the relationship between professional development and students’ perceptions of mathematics teachers’ teaching effectiveness in one of the largest public high schools in Eastern Visayas, Philippines. Methods: Descriptive and correlational research designs were employed to address the study’s objectives. The participants included 30 mathematics teachers and 314 randomly picked students from all the classes handled by the mathematics teachers. An adopted survey questionnaire collected the data on Teaching Effectiveness and Questionnaire Checklist. Findings: Results revealed a moderately significant positive relationship between teaching experience and participation in professional development activities, and mathematics teachers’ commitment. The result suggests that commitment to the teaching profession necessitates teaching experience. The study likewise indicated a significant positive relationship between mathematics teachers’ professional development activities and teaching for independent learning. Conclusion: Exposure to such professional activities is an essential factor that influences teachers’ development, sense of responsibility to their profession, and ability to assist their students in becoming independent learners. Keywords: mathematics teachers, perceptions, professional development, teaching effectiveness. Abstrak: Pengembangan Profesional versus Efektivitas Mengajar Guru Matematika SMA Negeri. Tujuan: Studi ini mempelajari hubungan antara pengembangan profesional dan persepsi siswa terhadap efektivitas pengajaran guru matematika di salah satu SMA Negeri terbesar di Visayas Timur, Filipina. Metode: Desain penelitian deskriptif dan korelasional digunakan pada penelitian ini. Peserta terdiri dari 30 guru matematika dan 314 siswa yang dipilih secara acak dari semua kelas yang diajar oleh guru matematika. Kuesioner survei yang diadopsi mengumpulkan data tentang Efektivitas Pengajaran dan Checklist Kuesioner. Temuan: Hasil mengungkapkan hubungan positif yang cukup signifikan antara pengalaman mengajar dan partisipasi dalam kegiatan pengembangan profesional, dan komitmen guru matematika. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa komitmen terhadap profesi guru membutuhkan pengalaman mengajar. Studi ini juga menunjukkan hubungan positif yang signifikan antara kegiatan pengembangan profesional guru matematika dan pengajaran untuk pembelajaran mandiri. Kesimpulan: Paparan terhadap beberapa kegiatan profesional merupakan faktor penting yang mempengaruhi perkembangan guru, rasa tanggung jawab terhadap profesi mereka, dan kemampuan untuk membantu siswa menjadi pembelajar mandiri. Objectives: This paper describes the experiences of science major students in doing their home-based laboratory activities in microbiology during the onslaught of the COVID-19 pandemic. It is framed on Kolb’s experiential learning theory. Methods: Using criterion sampling, nine BSEd Science major participants were interviewed face-to-face to describe their experiences using phenomenological hermeneutics. Kolb’s theoretical constructs were used to thematically analyze the participants’ responses. Findings: It revealed that students prefer doing laboratory experiments at school than at home due to the availability of laboratory materials. Students experience difficulty in doing home-based laboratory activities due to the difficulty of providing alternative laboratory materials to complete the laboratory tasks at home. Nevertheless, students gain self-development skills such as communication skills and resourcefulness. Conclusion: Science major students in microbiology have developed skills in adapting to the changes brought by the COVID-19 pandemic, thereby, they developed flexibility and resourcefulness in accomplishing their home-based laboratory activities. Abstrak: Penerapan Teori Kolb Experiential Learning dalam Aktivitas Laboratorium Berbasis Rumah bagi Mahasiswa Jurusan Sains Mikrobiologi. Tujuan: Makalah ini memaparkan pengalaman mahasiswa jurusan sains dalam melakukan kegiatan laboratorium mikrobiologi di rumah selama pandemi COVID-19. Pembelajaran menerapkan teori Kolb experiential learning. Metode: Dengan menggunakan sampel kriteria, sembilan peserta utama BSEd Science diwawancarai secara tatap muka untuk menggambarkan pengalaman mereka menggunakan hermeneutika fenomenologis. Konstruksi teoretis Kolb digunakan untuk menganalisis respons peserta secara tematis. Temuan: Terungkap bahwa siswa lebih suka melakukan percobaan laboratorium di sekolah daripada di rumah karena ketersediaan bahan laboratorium. Siswa mengalami kesulitan dalam melakukan kegiatan laboratorium di rumah karena sulitnya menyediakan bahan laboratorium alternatif untuk menyelesaikan tugas laboratorium di rumah. Namun demikian, siswa memperoleh keterampilan pengembangan diri seperti keterampilan komunikasi dan kecerdikan siswa. Kesimpulan: Mahasiswa jurusan sains mikrobiologi telah mengembangkan keterampilan dalam beradaptasi dengan perubahan yang akibat pandemi COVID-19, sehingga mereka mengembangkan fleksibilitas dan kecerdikan siswa dalam menyelesaikan kegiatan laboratorium berbasis rumah mereka.
