The paper originates from the Doctoral dissertation of the first author in which the co-authors served as supervisors. Causal research design was utilized and a census of forty-one commercial banks in Kenya was undertaken for the period 2013 to 2019. Information asymmetry theory and liquidity shiftability were utilized. Interest rate insignificant moderated the nexus between CAMEL rating variables and financial stability with the exception of asset quality. Interest rate only moderated asset quality and financial stability nexus significantly. It was recommended that the Central Bank of Kenya set interest rates in view of the prevailing economic situation. The study further puts forward the recommendation that commercial banks should strive towards reducing non-performing loans which can be through the setting up of effective credit risk management systems. Credit monitoring can be done in order to ensure that loans granted are utilized for the intended purposes. In time of difficult financial conditions, loan restructuring can be considered.","PeriodicalId":472854,"journal":{"name":"Asian research journal of arts & social sciences","volume":"8 11","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-11-11","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135042492","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A cross-sectional study survey was adopted which involved descriptive, correlation, and regression approaches. The findings of this study revealed work-life balance, gender role beliefs, and gender participation significantly and positively influence women's representation in leadership positions at Makerere University in Uganda. Women who take on more leadership roles at Makerere University have to realize work-life balance. Women have to be given equal opportunity to participate in all university activities with support accorded to them just as the case is, with male employees. They should be supported to take on leadership roles and higher academic qualifications just as their male counterparts. The results show that among other driving forces to venture into leadership positions, achieving work-life balance is one of the most significant ones. Lack of ample time, gender stereotypes, social and cultural norms as well and family responsibilities are the greatest hindrances women face in achieving balance hence hindering their representation in leadership positions in Makerere University. This study shows how women's representation in leadership positions can be improved by family, domestic, and work-related factors.","PeriodicalId":472854,"journal":{"name":"Asian research journal of arts & social sciences","volume":"10 2","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-11-11","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135042858","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The research employed a qualitative research approachwhereby qualitative data were analyzed through content analysis. However, the literature reveals gaps in the empirical evidence on the link between early marriage and the dropout of girls from secondary schools. The findings revealed that most girls were dropping out ofschool due to early marriages, and most of the students who are affected by this cultural practice are the ones in the lowest level of secondary school, Form I –II level. The researcher recommends that Community-Based Organizations and the government should form schedules of providing facilitations to the community members on the negative impacts of cultural activities by starting with early marriage so that they should be eliminated and never be obstacles to girls' education anymore. The right to education for both genders should be further elaborated followed by its importance to overall development.","PeriodicalId":472854,"journal":{"name":"Asian research journal of arts & social sciences","volume":" 1277","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-11-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135186713","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This research delves deep into the intersection of Western football coaching methodologies and China's intricate cultural and athletic fabric. Utilizing a qualitative research paradigm, focus group discussions, and in-depth interviews, the study highlights profound barriers, encompassing not just language but also deeper cultural, epistemological, and training philosophical differences. Beyond merely identifying challenges, the research underscores the importance of strategies like cultural immersion, active participation in local events, and collaborative workshops. These strategies not only bridge the technical and linguistic gaps but also foster mutual respect, shared learning, and deeper integration. This study, while rooted in China's context, contributes to the broader discourse on sports globalization, emphasizing the necessity for coaches to be globally aware yet locally sensitive. It culminates in providing both rich theoretical insights and actionable recommendations for crafting a harmonized, effective cross-cultural coaching paradigm in China and other culturally distinct regions.","PeriodicalId":472854,"journal":{"name":"Asian research journal of arts & social sciences","volume":"754 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-11-06","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135636777","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
