Kryzysy, których doświadcza dziś ludzkość, stwarzają niezwykłe trudności w podejmowaniu skutecznych decyzji dotyczących zarządzania zespołem. Zespoły muszą szybko integrować dostępne informacje, aby na miejscu podejmować świadome decyzje i aktualizować swoje decyzje w miarę pojawiania się nowych informacji. Ponadto podejmowanie właściwych decyzji jest trudne, ponieważ wymaga poświęceń dla dobra wspólnego, wreszcie realizacja podjętych decyzji nie jest łatwa, ponieważ wymaga wytrwałości w obliczu silnej presji społecznej. \u0000WNIOSKI. Przedstawione wnioski i pomysły mogą stanowić pewną inspiracje dla menedżerów, w jaki sposób świadomie budować skuteczne zespoły w oparciu nie tylko o powszechnie znane koncepcje, ale przede wszystkim z dużym wyczuleniem na kwestie związane z komunikacją w zespole. Jestesmy przekonany, że tematyka będzie się dynamicznie rozwijać. W jakim kierunku – będzie zależeć od menedżerów. In the conditions of global competition, lean production acquires special importance. For enterprises all over the world, the only way to survive in the market is to produce goods and provide services that most fully satisfy the demands of consumers, while using advanced management methods and technologies. Lean manufacturing is one of the modern tools of production organization and management technology, which is used to improve the quality of products and services, the most complete satisfaction of consumer needs, while ensuring a careful attitude to the company's resources and their savings. \u0000The purpose of the study is the further development of methodological, methodical and practical approaches to the concept of Lean manufacturing to improve the quality of the enterprise's business processes. \u0000Research methods. The research used scientific methods, such as theoretical generalization, comparison, analysis, synthesis. \u0000Result. In the process of research, a comparison of traditional business management and the concept of lean production was made and revealed. that the concept of lean production has such advantages as the transition from centralized, vertical management to horizontal, involvement of all employees in the process, teamwork, focus on rational use of resources. The concept of lean production is aimed at eliminating the following main types of losses: overproduction of goods; waiting for raw materials, semi-finished products, necessary service information; unnecessary movement of materials; redundant processing steps arising due to errors in the design of business processes; excessive stocks and business processes leading to their occurrence; unjustified rotation of personnel in the work process; production of waste; underutilization of employees' creative potential. \u0000Conclusions. Six main elements and 52 components (requirements) of Lean manufacturing are defined based on the SAE J4000 standard for more successful application of lean manufacturing ideas in practice production to analyze the levels of implementation of lean manufacturing methodology components and elements. The main elements of the concept of lean manufacturing, the development and improvement of which should be focused on, are: company management and trust in it; enterprise personnel; information environment; chain \"supplier – organization – consumer\"; product; business processes. Its primary objective is to compare these two crucial sectors in terms of user perspective and their perceived service quality. Given that these platforms operate similarly, this study aims to determine if there are unique aspects that require different approaches or areas that need to be improved. This is crucial for making these platforms function better and provide a better experience for users. The quality of service was analysed through technical and social categories. The goal was to determine whether and how the aforementioned service quality categories affect user behaviour and whether there are differences in the ranking of service quality categories from the users’ perspective, depending on the individual sector of the sharing economy. On a sample of 327 respondents, SEM analysis was used to show that the technical and social categories of service quality positively and directly influence the behavioural intentions of users in the sharing economy in both the accommodation and transport sectors. The findings also revealed that, for the users of the sharing economy service in the accommodation sector, the social category of service quality is more important than the technical category, while for the users of the sharing economy services in the transport sector, the technical category of service quality is more important than the social one.","PeriodicalId":47182,"journal":{"name":"Management","volume":"36 43","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":2.5,"publicationDate":"2023-12-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"138994244","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

When looking at the business relations between micro-enterprises and retailers, the authors identify a problem in the form of purchasing policies of retailers that contradict the legislative intention of the Act on the Prohibition of Unfair Trading Practices in the Food Supply Chain and the Directive of the European Parliament and the Council on the same subject. The paper aims to point out to the legislators that their approach to the issue has not led to the economic sustainability of the vulnerable links in the food supply chain, i.e., the supply side companies, as the problem has mostly been diverted to unfair prices. The authors point out the undue rigidity of the legislation concerning market competition in prohibited vertical agreements and the undue flexibility in price intelligence. In addition, this paper points out that unfair purchasing policies may constitute inflationary pressures not yet recognized by macroeconomic theory. The limitation of the paper stems from the likely generalization based on inductive inferences based on a case study. There is the possibility of further research on this topic in the short term to make informed economic and policy decisions.","PeriodicalId":47182,"journal":{"name":"Management","volume":"8 6","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":2.5,"publicationDate":"2023-12-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"138956780","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This research examined the hierarchical relationship between event image, event satisfaction, event identity, and behavioral intentions, including re-participation intention and positive word-of-mouth (WoM) behavior, in a repeated small-scale dance event. A total of 412 participants of the Eskisehir Dance Festival (EDF), a repeated small-scale dance event, were reached by the convenience sampling method. Research data were analyzed using structural equation modeling (SEM). First, the model’s compatibility with the data was evaluated by applying confirmatory factor analysis to the model, which includes all research structures. AVE, Cronbach alpha, and CR values were analyzed for all constructs. The conceptual model of the research was analyzed using the AMOS v22. Event image is an important predictor of both event satisfaction (β =0.88; p <0.01) and event identity (β =0.46; p <0.01). In addition, event satisfaction significantly impacted event identity (β =0.76; p <0.01). Event identity is the predictor of re-participation intention (β =0.24; p <0.01) and positive WoM behavior (β =0.88; p <0.01). Finally, WoM behavior positively affected reparticipation intention (β =0.88; p <0,01). Research results made significant empirical contributions to the literature on repeated small-scale dance events. In addition, based on the research results, suggestions were presented to managers of small-scale dance events that they could use in their marketing strategies.","PeriodicalId":47182,"journal":{"name":"Management","volume":"47 2","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":2.5,"publicationDate":"2023-12-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"138957244","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

New financial market entrants, such as fintech start-up companies, offer financial products and services more efficiently than established financial institutions (especially banks and insurance companies), bypassing the regulatory requirements established intermediaries must comply with. Despite the heterogeneity in the fintech concept, we use this term to consider innovations in financial products and services based on emerging information and communication technologies (i.e., information technology and mobile connectivity) as solutions that are changing the financial structure worldwide. Although the share of new participants in the financial system is rather small compared to the incumbents, fintech innovations are continuously advancing (e.g., crowdfunding, marketplace lending, cryptocurrencies, copy trading, robo-advice, insurtech, etc.), and their share is growing fast. This paper provides an overview of the fintech market and its impact (actual and potential) on the financial system’s architecture based on a comprehensive review of the theoretical and empirical literature.","PeriodicalId":47182,"journal":{"name":"Management","volume":"115 22","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":2.5,"publicationDate":"2023-12-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"138953810","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Despite its numerous advantages, the social media adoption rate remains low among small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Croatia. Therefore, this study aims to recognize the primary elements that affect the acceptance of social media by small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). The research observes social media as a technological innovation and investigates its implementation within Croatia, a developing country. Using the TOE model as a guiding theoretical framework, a comprehensive agenda examines social media adoption within the technological, organizational, and environmental contexts in which SMEs operate. The research relies on an empirical analysis conducted on 86 surveyed SMEs. By applying the PLS-SEM method, the results showed that the technological and environmental contexts, as higher-order constructs, positively and significantly influence the adoption of social media in Croatian SMEs. The study is important because it contributes to the body of knowledge on social media adoption in developing countries and guides key personnel in SMEs in adopting social media in their organizations.","PeriodicalId":47182,"journal":{"name":"Management","volume":"99 8","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":2.5,"publicationDate":"2023-12-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"138954007","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Since the success of an organization in a knowledge-based economy is highly dependent on competent and committed employees, their professional development should be encouraged and supported at all levels. Managers need to participate in lifelong learning activities. Considering that the willingness to learn is an essential prerequisite for learner engagement and success, this study investigated managers’ motivation for lifelong learning. An online survey was conducted among Croatian managers to answer the research questions. They generally rated their motivation to participate in lifelong learning as very high. According to the results, the studied groups of managers were quite similar in their self-reported motivation levels, except for educational background. The study also found several important motivators for lifelong learning, such as increasing knowledge and skills, improving job performance, and satisfying the need to stay current. Some other potential motivators were not considered important, including gaining social recognition and job insecurity. An exploratory factor analysis revealed three underlying dimensions of motivation: job satisfaction and compensation, competence development, and recognition and respect. In addition, some significant group differences in the factors were found. Given the limited literature on this topic, this study contributes to a better understanding managers’ motivation for lifelong learning.","PeriodicalId":47182,"journal":{"name":"Management","volume":"41 8","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":2.5,"publicationDate":"2023-12-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"138954752","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This paper begins with the insufficient cultural representation of Kosovo Bosniaks as an ethnic group. Previous critiques suggest that an in-depth study of ethnicity in Kosovo's cultural framework would provide a more nuanced understanding of the management of the cultural environment. Therefore, this research aims at the economic assessment of the cultural development of the Republic of Kosovo based on ethnicity. The meta-analysis of statistical data from the quarterly and annual budget reports of the Republic of Kosovo screens the period from 2014 to 2022. The research results confirm that the cultural heritage of the Bosnian ethnic group is still underutilized at the local and regional level as a resource of Kosovar society. In addition, a general stagnation of investment in Kosovo's culture was found, which does not follow other economic indicators. We believe that this study provides several contributions: first of all, a deeper understanding of cultural management in Kosovo, which confirms the need for a new strategy, i.e., a policy of managing cultural models on an ethnic basis. At the same time, it provides a conceptual framework that could enable a better operationalization of the management of cultural ethnicity in Kosovo, as well as the initial content for future research of this kind.","PeriodicalId":47182,"journal":{"name":"Management","volume":"27 15","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":2.5,"publicationDate":"2023-12-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"138955799","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In our sample, we have 144 completed U.S. spinoffs within a 14-year of time span, which are drawn from the SDC Platinum. According to our empirical analysis, we have found that both ownership structures have significant negative effects on the change in market value of the child firm.
