By carefully selecting samples, designing questionnaires, collecting data, and conducting data analysis, the study gathered 3257 valid responses. Findings show that Weibo and WeChat have become the primary channels for the public to access news information, while traditional media still enjoy relatively high levels of trust. Moreover, negative news reports decrease trust in the media, whereas critical comments increase it. The study also reveals variations in trust in the media across different groups and institutions, with universities being trusted more than businesses and ordinary employees having more trust than business managers. The qualitative interview component of the study further enriches the research data and provides deeper understanding and interpretation. The results demonstrate a significant relationship between media use and trust, calling for tailored management and policy measures taking into account the characteristics of different media platforms and diverse population groups.","PeriodicalId":47137,"journal":{"name":"Information Development","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":2.0,"publicationDate":"2024-08-09","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"141922407","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":4,"RegionCategory":"管理学","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It identifies the challenges of using PMTTs in ICT projects and suggests ways to effectively incorporate PMTTs in ICT project success. The non-probability purposive sampling method was used to identify 16 officials and stakeholders in ICT project management, whose responses to were thematically analysed. The study found that the most-used PMTTs for delivering ICT projects were the Agile project management methodology, collaboration tools like email systems and the Microsoft Teams platform, work breakdown structures, project dashboards, the Waterfall model, the Scrum framework, and cost-benefit analysis. Using PMTTs in project execution has many benefits, including increased project success probability, enhanced project predictability, boosted stakeholder confidence, heightened efficiency, improved communication, and the formalisation of the project methodology. The study identified a range of implementation challenges, including a lack of enforcement or inadequate implementation of the tools, a dearth of general expertise in the usage of specialised tools, misalignment of departmental and ICT strategies, lack of stakeholder participation, non-adherence to project governance, lack of continued training, inconsistencies with reporting, resource incapacitation, poor planning, and changes in scope by business users. To bolster PMTTs’ capacity to drive ICT projects in the DSD, the study recommends enforcing the use of all PMTTs, recruiting and retaining talent, involving all stakeholders, providing advanced training to all users (including management and not just ICT officials), and strengthening ICT governance.","PeriodicalId":47137,"journal":{"name":"Information Development","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":2.0,"publicationDate":"2024-08-08","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"141926964","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":4,"RegionCategory":"管理学","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Most of the literature has considered the adoption factors of MFA but has ignored the impact of AI effectiveness. To address this research gap, we develop a research model by integrating AI service quality and the theory of consumption value (TCV) to explore users’ continuance intention. Using a survey approach, a total of 416 valid questionnaires were collected in China, and the model was tested using partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM). The results show that functional, emotional, social, epistemic, and conditional values partially mediate the relationships between AI service quality and the continuance usage intention of AI-enabled MFAs. This study contributes to the literature by considering and examining the effect of AI service quality on users’ assessment of different consumption values, which advances the understanding of the AI service quality function in AI-enabled MFAs.","PeriodicalId":47137,"journal":{"name":"Information Development","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":1.9,"publicationDate":"2024-08-07","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"141969451","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":4,"RegionCategory":"管理学","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

To contribute novel insights into the adoption of social media for agricultural development, the research explores the adoption and influencing factors among smallholders in Central Vietnam. A randomized sample of 442 smallholder households in Quang Tri province were selected and surveyed by using a structured questionnaire. Data analysis encompassed descriptive statistics using SPSS 20.0 and Ordered Logit Regression using Stata to explore the adoption and factors influencing social media adoption among smallholders. Findings indicate widespread adoption, particularly on Facebook and YouTube of smallholders. They utilized social media platforms either simultaneously or separately with limited frequency. Various adoption purposes were found, primarily for accessing agricultural knowledge or technical tutorials from social networks and extension agencies, and seeking agricultural product consumption help. Higher adoption was linked to more digital information access and device ownership, better education, and larger farms. Conversely, older age and crop-focused farming to lower adoption rates (p < 5%). The study highlights the potential for education and extension agencies to use social media, especially Facebook and YouTube for knowledge sharing and product consumption support among smallholder farmers. The study identifies key factors in social media adoption, advising agricultural agencies to target demographics like the elderly, less educated individuals, crop-focused farmers, and those with smaller land holdings. Promoting digital information access and farmer organization participation is essential for boosting social media adoption.","PeriodicalId":47137,"journal":{"name":"Information Development","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":1.9,"publicationDate":"2024-08-02","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"141886221","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":4,"RegionCategory":"管理学","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The study conducted two-stage online questionnaire survey to obtain a final sample of 369 remote workers in China. Hypotheses were tested with triple mediation model. The findings reveal a compound multiple mediation effect among the variables, specifically demonstrating that (1) DC positively predicts IWB, e-SE, OC, and e-BS; (2) e-SE positively predicts OC and e-BS; (3) OC positively predicts IWB; (4) e-BS positively predicts IWB. (5) In the mediation model, the direct effect of DC on IWB is significant; (6) e-SE, OC, and e-BS play a significant mediating role in the relationship between DC and IWB; (7) e-SE, OC play a significant chained mediating role in the relationship between DC and IWB; (8) e-SE, e-BS play a significant chained mediating role in the relationship between DC and IWB. This study explores the relationship between DC and IWB, shedding light on its underlying mechanisms. By delving into the behaviors of remote work employees, this research offers more effective management strategies and practical recommendations for businesses and organizations, including tailored approaches to enhance remote employee engagement, productivity, and overall well-being. Additionally, the findings will present new perspectives and research avenues for academic studies, contributing to the advancement of theoretical understanding of employee behavior in remote work settings within the digital economy era.","PeriodicalId":47137,"journal":{"name":"Information Development","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":1.9,"publicationDate":"2024-07-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"141772044","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":4,"RegionCategory":"管理学","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
