We collected review data from online automotive forums and generated a corpus after pre-processing. Next, we extracted the statistical and topic semantic features of online reviews for new energy vehicles and clarified the quality evaluation indicators for online reviews. Then, the entropy weight-TOPSIS method was used to determine the indicators’ weights and assign values to the quality of online reviews. Finally, the quality scoring rules of online reviews were sorted out from multidimensional perspectives. The research results have shown that the statistical features and topic semantic features of online reviews on new energy vehicles can be used as evaluation indicators to construct a quality evaluation system. It was also found that the quality scores of lower-priced vehicle reviews tend to be consistent in different price groups, while the quality scores of mid-priced vehicle reviews are the most dispersed. The quality of online reviews varies significantly among other groups or models. The study results provide a simple criterion for consumers’ cognition of the value of online reviews. The results will enhance the ability of new energy vehicle companies to carry out online marketing with the help of online reviews and transform the purchase intention of potential consumers into actual purchase behavior.","PeriodicalId":47137,"journal":{"name":"Information Development","volume":"34 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":1.9,"publicationDate":"2024-05-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"141191989","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":4,"RegionCategory":"管理学","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Employing an exploratory research approach, the study conducts a case study and reviews pertinent literature (2019–2023) on IT integration implementation. Following the PRISMA flow chart, electronic searches in various databases used keywords related to IT integration. The study identifies inadequate technical facilities, insufficient technology, infrastructure, and unsupportive policies as primary barriers. Conversely, the digital era prompts opportunities, compelling organizations to adopt innovative technologies for enhanced productivity and quality service delivery. The paper's uniqueness lies in developing a framework assessing the success of technology integration, allowing for the incorporation of remote and hybrid work models. Future trends in IT integration implementation focus on remote and hybrid work solutions. Contributing to existing literature, the framework emphasizes that failure to extend IT integration implementation to include remote and hybrid work solutions may lead to additional constraints, creating gaps in organizational operation. The review analyzes research gaps and suggests future directions, ensuring effective IT integration implementation, especially in developing countries with significant gaps. This review is particularly relevant given the global surge in technology use over the past two years. Fueled by rapid technological advancements and the constraints of COVID-19, a systematic literature review (SLR) is imperative to demonstrate how IT integration implementation helps public sector organizations improve employee performance, financial outcomes, productivity, and service delivery.","PeriodicalId":47137,"journal":{"name":"Information Development","volume":"33 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":1.9,"publicationDate":"2024-05-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"141191862","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":4,"RegionCategory":"管理学","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This study addresses this gap by unveiling the determinants of IoT smart home technology adoption behavior among consumers in the least developed country. The study has extended the unified theory of acceptance and use of technology (UTAUT) by including perceived hedonism, lifestyle, and well-being constructs in the research framework. Data from 355 IoT smart home users were analyzed using structural equation modeling (SEM). The findings reveal that performance expectancy, facilitating conditions, perceived hedonism, and lifestyle positively affect behavioral intention. Moreover, behavioral intention positively affects use behavior. In the post-adoption stage, use behavior positively affects multifaceted user well-being. However, effort expectancy and social influence did not affect behavioral intention. The study has a novel theoretical contribution to the extant literature and significantly contributes to technology designers, marketers, elderly users, and government agencies.","PeriodicalId":47137,"journal":{"name":"Information Development","volume":"16 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":1.9,"publicationDate":"2024-05-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"141170378","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":4,"RegionCategory":"管理学","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

While much of previous technology adoption research has been focused on adoption motivators or enablers, the lack of research on adoption inhibitors is the primary motivation for this study. The main focus is on dispositional resistance to change (RTC) and its role in individual OLA adoption decisions. A theoretical model integrating two fields of research, technology adoption and psychology, was developed to investigate the influence of RTC on key adoption predictors using a sample of 217 university-student OLA users. A combination of cognitive dissonance and self-verification theories was used to explain the mechanism of this influence, which was subsequently tested and verified. Findings indicate that RTC has a significant negative impact on effort expectancy and usage intention, but not on attitude and performance expectancy. This study contributes by theoretically underpinning and empirically validating the impact of RTC on OLA adoption decisions. Furthermore, it illustrates the importance of incorporating RTC into technology adoption studies in general and OLA studies in particular. This research provides the foundation for future work in this severely underexplored area.","PeriodicalId":47137,"journal":{"name":"Information Development","volume":"114 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":1.9,"publicationDate":"2024-05-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"141152551","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":4,"RegionCategory":"管理学","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, excessive information can lead to information overload, which can negatively affect the decision-making process and potentially lead to delayed or abandoned bookings. This study aims to investigate the role of information overload in tourists’ early decision-making in the context of online hotel booking. 2 (information load: high vs. low) × 2 (information presentation format: alternative-vs. attribute-based display) × 2 (regulatory focus: promotion-vs. prevention-focus) between-subjects scenario-based experiment was conducted with 305 Chinese adult participants. The results showed that information overload occurs in the early stages of online booking decision and is influenced by the interaction of information presentation format and regulatory focus. Regulatory focus can influence tourists’ information presentation format preferences under high information load conditions. When the appropriate information presentation format is applied to an individual's regulatory focus, information processing becomes more fluid, thereby reducing information overload. The findings emphasize the importance of matching information presentation to an individual's regulatory focus to minimize information overload and provide practical implications for OTAs.","PeriodicalId":47137,"journal":{"name":"Information Development","volume":"24 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":1.9,"publicationDate":"2024-05-09","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140936557","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":4,"RegionCategory":"管理学","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This divide has led to an increased focus on research related to information and communication technology for development (ICT4D) and other relevant disciplines. Given the prevalence of dominant paradigms that often lead to aggregated and context-free observations, this paper emphasizes the role of context in ICT4D while advocating for more nuanced, context-specific approaches in research and policy formulation. Through a systematic literature review, it proposes a conceptual framework that captures the psycho-social and the structural dimensions of context in ICT4D as well as their impact on success of related projects. The paper highlights the need for tailored theories addressing often overlooked elements such as language, ethnicity, religion, government change, political instability, and legal frameworks in the context of ICT4D. The proposed framework offers a roadmap for researchers to navigate the complex context of ICT4D, especially in the realm of emerging technologies.","PeriodicalId":47137,"journal":{"name":"Information Development","volume":"18 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":1.9,"publicationDate":"2024-05-09","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140936242","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":4,"RegionCategory":"管理学","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Therefore, to strengthen cybersecurity at a national level, governments must intervene in the market by using support or regulatory policies to overcome market failures and address weaknesses. This study reviewed the efficiency of policy options to improve corporate cybersecurity resilience for SMEs that require government support, unlike large companies that can invest in security on their own. To achieve this, a causal loop diagram was created and analyzed from the perspective of system dynamics. The model incorporated government support variables and the decline in capabilities over time into the existing corporate security investment model reflecting the standard framework for cybersecurity from NIST. The simulation scenarios were constructed based on policy options considered by the Korean government. These include 1) pre-incident or post incident support services, and 2) management through tax credits and regulation. The results indicated that incentives, specifically tax credits, rather than regulation, were more effective in strengthening cyber resilience. This study describes the investment and internal capability development of a company affected by government policy, which is an external factor, and changes in profits can be observed by adding the company's profits and costs as variables. This profit variable allows for the comparison of a company's cyber resilience across scenarios. Additionally, if the government provides direct support immediately after a hacking incident, the company can recover more quickly. If these benefits are known and if the reporting of hacking damage is activated, cyber threat visibility will be secured by revealing hacking attacks that have been secretly conducted. Governments can use cyber threat visibility to strengthen national cybersecurity.","PeriodicalId":47137,"journal":{"name":"Information Development","volume":"63 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":1.9,"publicationDate":"2024-05-06","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140888772","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":4,"RegionCategory":"管理学","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This study assessed the various sources, means, and strategies for accessing and sharing indigenous knowledge in local communities in Ghana. The pragmatism paradigm which highlights a practical point of view that knowledge is not fixed, but instead views research from different perspectives and realism on the ground was deployed in this study. The choice of pragmatism led to the deployment of the mixed research method in this research, thus combining both qualitative and quantitative research methods concurrently, survey research approach, and cross-section design. The study disclosed that indigenous knowledge which is mainly associated with traditional healers and birth attendants, farmers, religious leaders, clan heads, chief priests, chiefs, curators and information professionals, and opinion leaders, largely exists in oral form and is mainly orally and tacitly managed and shared. Coaching, mentorship, apprenticeship, training, and storytelling as strategies for managing and sharing indigenous knowledge usually take place at shrines, churches, palaces, etc. Other strategies deployed include socialization, durbars, poem recitals, festival celebrations, cultural displays, film shows, exhibitions and displays, and outreach services. These strategies remain informal and undocumented. Hence, verbally and tacitly kept, managed, and shared which makes some of the indigenous knowledge to be lost in the event of the death of knowledge experts and holders in the communities. This calls for the engagement of information professionals to facilitate the documentation and formalization of the strategies in the communities. From the study, information and knowledge workers must be engaged to facilitate the development of manuals and procedures to guide the documentation of indigenous knowledge capturing and sharing. Community leaders need to promote and support initiatives to facilitate the formalization and documentation of all strategies for knowledge capturing and sharing.","PeriodicalId":47137,"journal":{"name":"Information Development","volume":"44 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":1.9,"publicationDate":"2024-05-06","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140888773","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":4,"RegionCategory":"管理学","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
