Therefore, recognizing the value of eWOM in social media networks can bring more benefits to firms since the content shared on social media platforms will be influential on the customers’ purchase decisions. This study was designed to identify the implications of consumer motives on eWOM involvement when they purchase fashion products through social media platforms. The study population represents active and frequent social media users in Sri Lanka. Data for the research study was collected through a structured questionnaire, and expertness, high fashion involvement, informational influence, altruism, self-enhancement, and attitude toward products were investigated as motives for eWOM involvement. The proposed study relationships were investigated using the structured equation modelling statistical technique, and multigroup analysis was performed to understand the moderating effect of social media usage intensity. Test results identified positive implications on eWOM involvement from two study variables: high fashion involvement and attitude toward the product. Meanwhile, a negative implication was noted with self-enhancement. The results showed that eWOM involvement has a strong positive impact on customer purchasing intentions. Further, the results of the moderating analysis confirmed the moderating behaviour of social media usage intensity. People with low social media usage intensity strengthen the relationship, which implies their information-searching tendency before making intentions to purchase a fashion product through social media. The study findings will assist fashion product marketers in figuring out how individuals participate in eWOM communication more effectively and the importance of customer feedback in encouraging the buying of fashion products.","PeriodicalId":47137,"journal":{"name":"Information Development","volume":"17 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":1.9,"publicationDate":"2024-04-18","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140629111","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":4,"RegionCategory":"管理学","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

We investigate the WMF recycling behavior of farmers in several randomly selected regions from the main vegetable-producing provinces in China. Propensity score matching is used to study the impacts of face-to-face, telephone, and social media communication on WMF recycling behavior of farmers. Our study shows that face-to-face communication is still the most important channel to promote farmers’ recycling behavior. Therefore, while it is more efficient to promote WMF recycling through social media in the Internet age, cooperative managers should not underestimate the role of face-to-face communication which is the preferred communication channel for many small farmers according to our analysis. Cooperative managers can better promote their members’ WMF recycling behavior through both social media and face-to-face communication.","PeriodicalId":47137,"journal":{"name":"Information Development","volume":"52 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":1.9,"publicationDate":"2024-04-18","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140631015","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":4,"RegionCategory":"管理学","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, research on IoT uptake in libraries still needs to be more extensive, especially in Pakistan. This research aims to fill that vacuum by exploring the variables driving IoT uptake in Pakistani libraries and assessing its effect on library services. A quantitative approach was used, with data collected from Pakistani libraries using a survey technique. The poll specifically addressed librarians and administrators to understand their views on the IoT adoption advantages they see. We designed a theoretical framework combining the Technology-Organization-Environment (TOE) paradigm and adding two variables: digital transformation and innovativeness. A total of 341 responses were gathered, providing insightful data on the IoT adoption trends in Pakistan. The research examines the connections between numerous variables impacting IoT uptake in libraries using advanced statistical approaches like SmartPLS-based partial least squares structural equation modeling. The findings reveal several vital factors influencing the adoption of IoT in Pakistani libraries. The study emphasizes the significance of solid management practices and the effective use of technology resources in facilitating the successful implementation of the Internet of Things and ensuring enhanced library services. This research contributes to the existing body of knowledge by providing a comprehensive perspective on IoT adoption in Pakistan. It addresses a considerable knowledge deficit regarding the implementation of IoT in libraries, concentrating specifically on the Pakistani view. The findings of this study are beneficial for library professionals, researchers, and policymakers, as they enable them to make informed decisions and drive successful IoT adoption initiatives in Pakistani libraries.","PeriodicalId":47137,"journal":{"name":"Information Development","volume":"37 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":1.9,"publicationDate":"2024-04-09","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140561153","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":4,"RegionCategory":"管理学","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Particularly, such estimates are vital for agriculture-based economies like Pakistan. However, poorly managed spatial information causes inaccurate agricultural estimates. Consequently, public policies such as agriculture policies often remain unsustainable to secure enough food and to uplift the rural economy. Against this backdrop, the main objective of this paper is to identify types of spatial datasets, categorize them based on relative importance, and propose a framework to seamlessly disseminate those datasets to agricultural policy-makers in Pakistan. To do so, first of all, the literature is reviewed and a preliminary list of data is prepared. Then we make use of the Delphi survey to prepare the final list of the data. The data are also categorized into most important, very important, and important datasets. The results of the study revealed that the four most important spatial datasets include; hydrological, land use, agricultural census, and meteorological data. The datasets in the category of very important include six datasets; cadaster, crops, soil, pest and disease, natural hazards, and climate change data. The three datasets; remote sensing, research, and agroecological zones data fall under the category of important spatial datasets. Through implementing SDI, the identified data can be made available in one place to find and access to inform policies, the paper concludes.","PeriodicalId":47137,"journal":{"name":"Information Development","volume":"38 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":1.9,"publicationDate":"2024-04-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140560853","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":4,"RegionCategory":"管理学","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

While separate reviews exist for crowdsourcing and innovation individually, a comprehensive literature review specific to their intersection is lacking. Therefore, this study conducts a bibliometric meta-analysis of the extensive body of literature in the field of innovation and crowdsourcing, aiming to fill this research gap. The analysis encompasses all articles in Elsevier's Scopus database that incorporate relevant terms in their titles, abstracts, or keywords, resulting in a sample of 180 articles. VosViewer and Bibliometrix package in R are employed for the analysis. The analysis reveals three key research clusters, including the role of crowdsourcing in fostering organizational innovation, crowdsourcing-based social capital formation and its impact on organizational value creation, and the role of crowdsourcing platforms in facilitating engagement between the crowd and the organization. Adopting a holistic perspective, this research contributes new insights into the interconnections between crowdsourcing and innovation research fields. Additionally, the analysis provides clarity on research content, evolutionary context, and reveals emerging research trends in this domain.","PeriodicalId":47137,"journal":{"name":"Information Development","volume":"74 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":1.9,"publicationDate":"2024-03-11","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140107641","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":4,"RegionCategory":"管理学","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This study explores the impact of hospitals’ social media marketing efforts on their brand equity and, ultimately, hospital's financial performance. Using social media data from Instagram, online/offline survey methodology, and financial data obtained from hospitals, data is analyzed using a structural equation model. The study uses a random sample of (728) residents of the Kuwaiti population. Social media marketing efforts regarding use and engagement lead to higher hospital brand equity and financial performance. Particularly, the study finds that posts that are based on educational posts, patient stories, and sharing the latest news and research led to the highest form of brand awareness, perceived brand quality, brand association, and brand loyalty, thereby leading to higher perceived brand equity. The study also finds that brand equity leads to a positive and significant impact on hospitals’ financial performance. The study highlights the importance of creating engaging content, content that is personal and particularly educational. Healthcare organizations should guide their marketing efforts to manage this new marketing method better and communicate with patients to enhance consumer loyalty and financial performance.","PeriodicalId":47137,"journal":{"name":"Information Development","volume":"75 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":1.9,"publicationDate":"2024-03-05","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140047901","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":4,"RegionCategory":"管理学","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This study investigated the relationship between information overload, role stress, and teachers’ job performance. Additionally, explored the moderating effect of teachers’ self-efficacy. This study employed a quantitative research design and used a survey approach. Data was collected from 284 teachers working in the public –sector primary, middle and secondary schools. IBM SPSS and SmartPLS 3.0 were used to analyze the data. Findings indicated that information overload has a negative direct effect on teachers’ job performance. Further, information overload has a positive and significant impact on role stress that decreases job performance. Moreover, the mediator ‘role ambiguity’ has significantly mediated the effect of information overload on the job performance. However, the impact of information overload was not passing through the mediator role conflict. Self-efficacy has a moderating effect on the relationship between information overload, role stress, and job performance. Additionally, this study has also discussed theoretical and practical implications.","PeriodicalId":47137,"journal":{"name":"Information Development","volume":"71 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":1.9,"publicationDate":"2024-03-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140034357","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":4,"RegionCategory":"管理学","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
