This study aims to examine the roles of strategic foresight and knowledge management in promoting open innovation and driving new product development. Grounded in the knowledge-based view (KBV) of the firm, it investigates how strategic foresight influences open innovation processes and how knowledge management catalyzes innovation success. Using structural equation modelling (SEM) on data collected from 298 technology-based firms located in Lithuania (<em>n</em> = 142) and Slovakia (<em>n</em> = 156), the study demonstrates that strategic foresight directly impacts open innovation and significantly improves new product development through open innovation; in addition, knowledge exploration and exploitation are shown to play important roles in open innovation, with balanced effects on new product development outcomes. The study identifies open innovation as a critical mechanism that links strategic foresight and knowledge management to improve new product development, extending the KBV of the firm by highlighting the integration of external knowledge with internal processes, particularly in smaller, emerging economies. Practically, managers are recommended to prioritize foresight and balanced knowledge management practices while leveraging strategic alliances and networks to improve new product development outcomes. This integrated approach highlights the importance of collaborative innovation and external knowledge in achieving competitive advantage in dynamic business environments.</div></div>","PeriodicalId":46792,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Innovation & Knowledge","volume":"10 2","pages":"Article 100654"},"PeriodicalIF":15.6,"publicationDate":"2025-01-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"143077755","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":1,"RegionCategory":"管理学","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"OA","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This involves the integration of innovative technologies into national economic systems to promote economic growth and environmental sustainability. The introduction of sharing economy principles has led to sudden, and sometimes unexpected changes in the standards and regulations governing the operations of national economies and their sectors. This has raised concerns among academics and businesses regarding the accuracy and completeness of analyses conducted to assess the full range of benefits and drawbacks associated with these new models of economic behaviour. In this context, this study aims to address the lack of theoretical and empirical understanding of management science by conducting a quantitative analysis of the impact of the sharing economy on Russia's path to sustainable economic growth between 2010 and 2023. Using the quantile autoregressive distributed lag (QARDL) method, a common approach in management research, we consider factors such as population growth, unemployment rates, energy prices, and inflation rates. The findings suggest that the sharing economy has a positive impact on sustainable development across all segments, although its effect on energy efficiency is stronger in higher segments. Based on these findings, we argue that growth of the sharing economy, both within Russia and globally, can promote energy efficiency and sustainable development. Furthermore, the study emphasises the significance of the economic aspect of shared consumption, and recommends that the Russian government adopt legal and administrative measures to promote it. These measures can contribute in achieving sustainable development goals and improving energy efficiency within the Russian economy.</div></div>","PeriodicalId":46792,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Innovation & Knowledge","volume":"10 2","pages":"Article 100655"},"PeriodicalIF":15.6,"publicationDate":"2025-01-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"143077754","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":1,"RegionCategory":"管理学","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"OA","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Bibliometric analysis methods are used to analyze 791 peer-reviewed articles written by 1,820 authors and indexed in Scopus and Web of Science (WoS). The findings reveal how viral marketing research evolved over the past two decades, establish vital connections between authors, and uncover themes and trending topics. The study underscores the increasing practical importance of viral marketing by mirroring the substantial growth in research in the field, particularly from 2008 to 2014, with research topics such as Internet marketing, user-generated content, word-of-mouth, and e-word-of-mouth. From 2015 to 2020, viral marketing research exhibited a sustained growth phase, with the number of articles remaining relatively stable, covering topics such as viral marketing, social media, and social networks. In the most recent years, from 2021 to 2023, fluctuations occurred in the volume of articles driven by the focus on online marketing during the COVID-19 pandemic. While overall interest remains robust, these variations might signify a stabilization of the field with the entry of advanced topics such as influence maximization and popularity predictions. Overall, the diverse nature of viral marketing and evolving research landscape were notable across journals of a multidisciplinary nature; this suggests that viral marketing research is likely multidisciplinary, involving components of marketing, social network analysis, computational systems, complex system dynamics, data science, and engineering.</div></div>","PeriodicalId":46792,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Innovation & Knowledge","volume":"10 2","pages":"Article 100659"},"PeriodicalIF":15.6,"publicationDate":"2025-01-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"143077757","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":1,"RegionCategory":"管理学","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"OA","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Analyzing 108 articles from the Web of Science and Scopus databases published between 2019 and 2023, the study identifies key variables, influential studies, and methodological approaches within the ESG/CSR-CFP nexus. The findings reveal that moderating variables such as governance structures, cultural norms, technological readiness, market maturity, economic conditions, industry characteristics, firm strategy, and CSR engagement levels significantly impact the strength and direction of ESG and CSR effects on financial performance. However, the literature demonstrates considerable inconsistencies due to diverse research designs, varying definitions of ESG and CFP, and underrepresentation of moderating variables such as social and cultural factors, technological readiness, and firm-specific characteristics. The study highlights the need for more standardized variables, advanced research methodologies, and a broader exploration of these underexamined moderating variables to develop a more nuanced understanding of how ESG and CSR initiatives influence corporate financial outcomes. This work provides a framework for future research to address these gaps, enhancing the academic discourse on corporate sustainability and financial performance.</div></div>","PeriodicalId":46792,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Innovation & Knowledge","volume":"10 1","pages":"Article 100648"},"PeriodicalIF":15.6,"publicationDate":"2025-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"142873868","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":1,"RegionCategory":"管理学","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"OA","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

An SLR (Systematic Literature Review) is the first step in the research process to find the issues raised in the literature. The results of this study are based on qualitative content analysis using grounded theory and semi-structured interviews with 12 ML practitioners from different sectors. Organisational, technical, operational, and business problems are the four distinct aspects of challenges for MLOps that our study highlights. These challenges are further defined by eleven different themes. Previous studies have analyzed the SCM features impacting organizational performance independently of the design of TQM practices. Similarly, the recent literature on SCM overlooks TQM when incorporating lean and agile elements in SCM practices and strategies. Scattered attempts have been made to evaluate lean and agile SCM practices and TQM action plans, but no concrete integrated approach has been developed. In particular, no study has presented a structured analysis to quantify the influence of the SCM components on achieving predetermined TQM goals. We propose a comprehensive, four-phase, integrated procedure with a total score to quantitatively assess lean and agile SCM to fill this research gap. This comprehensive score selects the most suitable TQM action plan for increasing productivity and sustainability. The four phases of the proposed procedure include an initial qualitative analysis for defining indicators, sub-indicators, and characteristics of the lean and agile approach (Phase 1), the formulation of a mathematical model for computing the total score of the whole SCM approach (Phase 2), the selection of an action plan to achieve TQM goals (Phase 3), and the validation of the proposed framework and the results obtained (Phase 4). We show the applicability of the proposed evaluation procedure in a real-life case study and demonstrate that the general formulation of the mathematical model allows for extensions of the proposed method to other evaluation contexts.</div></div>","PeriodicalId":46792,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Innovation & Knowledge","volume":"10 1","pages":"Article 100633"},"PeriodicalIF":15.6,"publicationDate":"2025-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"142790071","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":1,"RegionCategory":"管理学","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"OA","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
