The supplier sells wholesale products to consumers through the retailer and may also sell directly to consumers via an online channel. Given that the supplier’s initial working capital may be insufficient to cover production, investment, or online channel expenses, they have the option to borrow funds from a bank—a practice referred to as bank credit financing (BCF). We develop models with and without direct selling and BCF to analyze the supplier’s optimal decisions regarding cost-reducing investments and the BCF policy. Our findings indicate that, in the absence of direct selling, the supplier’s optimal BCF decision depends on its initial working capital and the investment cost factor. Notably, BCF can enable the supplier to shift from forgoing cost-reducing investments to actively engaging in them when the initial working capital falls within a certain range. Furthermore, under the direct selling model, the supplier’s optimal decision is influenced by a combination of factors, including its initial working capital, investment cost factor, and direct selling cost.</div></div>","PeriodicalId":46792,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Innovation & Knowledge","volume":"10 4","pages":"Article 100741"},"PeriodicalIF":15.6,"publicationDate":"2025-06-05","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"144223623","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":1,"RegionCategory":"管理学","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Although AR improves travel experiences and destination branding, there is limited research on parents’ perceptions of AR when traveling with children. This study combines the unified theory of acceptance and use of technology (UTAUT) with the concept of sustainability education to investigate how parents’ perceptions of AR technology shape visit behavior and destination branding, improve family vacations, and strengthen ecotourism sustainability. A mixed methods approach was applied, combining partial least structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) with fuzzy-set qualitative comparative analysis (fsQCA). An online survey questionnaire (distributed via the Prolific platform) was completed by 181 parents who visited Romanian ecotourism destinations with their children and had previous AR experience. The PLS-SEM results indicate that facilitating conditions, performance expectancy, social influence, and sustainability education have significant effects on parents’ intentions to use AR technology. Furthermore, these intentions significantly influence destination visit behavior and AR branding. The fsQCA results show that sustainability education is the sole necessary condition for AR technology to influence families’ ecotourism experiences, possibly enhancing destination branding. The findings provide new theoretical and practical implications for ecotourism stakeholders interested in using AR to enhance their branding for families traveling with children.</div></div>","PeriodicalId":46792,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Innovation & Knowledge","volume":"10 4","pages":"Article 100742"},"PeriodicalIF":15.6,"publicationDate":"2025-06-05","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"144212250","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":1,"RegionCategory":"管理学","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This approach enables our examination of the dynamics of economies’ rise from weakness to strength. This investigation introduces a comprehensive framework that combines green technological innovation, renewable energy sources, and the circular economy into a single green growth model. The results confirm two optimal thresholds that impact how green technological innovation affects green growth, distinguishing between the three regimes. Additionally, the results demonstrate the positive influence of green technological innovation on green growth. In contrast, the study reveals a weaker effect with increasing levels of green technological innovation transitions from intermediate (Regime 2) to high (Regime 3) green growth. Furthermore, insufficient green technological innovation has not developed effective renewable energy technologies that can foster green growth. Conversely, renewable energy begins to positively affect green growth when EU countries increase green technological innovation investment. Finally, a robust regime of green technological innovation facilitates circularity and promotes EU economies’ green growth, indicating that the influence of the circular economy on green growth depends on increased green technological innovation. Practically, policymakers in EU economies should focus on sustainable innovation to promote green growth and advance the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.</div></div>","PeriodicalId":46792,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Innovation & Knowledge","volume":"10 4","pages":"Article 100748"},"PeriodicalIF":15.6,"publicationDate":"2025-06-05","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"144223622","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":1,"RegionCategory":"管理学","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Agricultural technology innovation (ATI) and rural industrial structure transformation (RIST) are key drivers of agricultural economic growth (AEG). Although previous studies have largely focused on the individual impacts of ATI and RIST on AEG, research on the specific pathways linking these factors is limited. This study utilizes panel data from 30 Chinese provinces from 2009 to 2022 and employs a multilayer structural equation model to systematically examine the relationships among ATI, RIST, and AEG at both national and regional levels. In addition, it provides an in-depth analysis of the internal connections among specific variables. The findings indicate that, at the national level, ATI plays a crucial role in significantly advancing both the transformation and upgrading of rural industrial structures and AEG. However, the direct impact of RIST and upgrading on AEG is not clearly evident. The regional-level analysis reveals that ATI has a significant positive effect on AEG and promotes the optimization of rural industrial structures. In addition, upgrading rural industrial structures significantly enhance AEG. This study’s methodology offers both theoretical and empirical support for promoting agricultural economic development through ATI and RIST upgrading. The findings provide valuable insights for policymakers, enabling them to better align agricultural policies with key innovation directions and structural improvements, ultimately fostering sustainable agricultural development. Furthermore, the conclusions serve as a decision-making reference for agricultural enterprises and practitioners, guiding them to adapt to industrial structural adjustments, leverage technological advancements, and enhance agricultural production efficiency and economic benefits.</div></div>","PeriodicalId":46792,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Innovation & Knowledge","volume":"10 4","pages":"Article 100743"},"PeriodicalIF":15.6,"publicationDate":"2025-06-05","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"144212275","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":1,"RegionCategory":"管理学","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, it remains unclear how the relative adoption of BT between the private and public sectors compares in light of existing studies. This article contributes to the literature by evaluating the adoption process through the technology, organizational, and environmental dimensions of the TOE framework. A comparative research design was employed through 21 semi-structured interviews with participants from the public and private sectors in Finland. The results indicate that challenges to adoption uniformly exist between both sectors in the form of regulatory concerns and misconceptions regarding energy matters, as well as incentives that are directly linked to the sector. The private sector is incentivized to adopt BT for scalability, efficiency, and responsiveness to market demand in light of competitive advantage. The public sector is motivated to adopt BT through transparency and regulatory concerns, although a willingness to accommodate legacy systems in the short term exists so that public services and activities are not interrupted. In addition, our findings highlight the important role of public institutions in BT adoption. Ultimately, both sectors require strong visionary leadership and training to overcome knowledge deficiencies and proof-of-concept studies to reduce uncertainty and reliance on external applications and partnerships. This article contributes to the literature by comparatively highlighting the similarities and differences in this phenomenon. This study presents empirical and theoretical evidence to address the following research question: <em>How can blockchain impact the information flow in SCs to enhance cyber resilience</em>? The practice-based view provides theoretical support for the presented model. This study presents a conceptual model that includes hypothesized relationships. Empirical data are collected via a vignette-based, between-subject experimental design study. Blockchain-based SCs can improve sales and operations planning (S&amp;OP) by allowing firms to align plans and processes to achieve cyber resilience during cyber disruptions. This study offers empirical evidence that blockchain contributes to transparency by giving SC decision makers access to high-quality data during cyber disruptions, which can lead to improved cyber resilience performance. The contribution of this study is twofold. First, this research explains the impact of blockchain on the information flow of the SC to create cyber resilience through two mediating variables: transparency and S&amp;OP. Second, this study provides empirical evidence, including a detailed experimental methodology, to explore the role of blockchain in SC information management, particularly in enhancing transparency and cyber resilience.</div></div>","PeriodicalId":46792,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Innovation & Knowledge","volume":"10 4","pages":"Article 100744"},"PeriodicalIF":15.6,"publicationDate":"2025-06-03","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"144203550","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":1,"RegionCategory":"管理学","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This work looks at how emotional responses vary in key situations, such as personnel hiring, salary remuneration, and the definition of financial and distribution strategies, through the innovative discipline of neuroentrepreneurship. To carry out this study, neuro-technologies were used to perform a neuro-qualitative study using galvanic skin response (GSR) and electroencephalogram (EEG) to evaluate brain performance metrics such as emotional intensity, stress, and engagement, in two groups of entrepreneurs with different levels of experience. The responses were analyzed based on specific questions that covered different aspects of entrepreneurship, allowing a detailed comparison between both groups. The results revealed significant differences in emotional and cognitive responses between novice and experienced entrepreneurs. Novice entrepreneurs showed greater emotional intensity in planning and distribution topics, while experienced entrepreneurs exhibited higher levels of stress in critical aspects such as remuneration and layoffs. However, experienced entrepreneurs also demonstrated a greater capacity for relaxation in areas where they had consolidated experience, highlighting the influence of experience in emotional management. This study provides an innovative vision of the field of entrepreneurship, by combining neuro-technologies to analyze emotional and cognitive responses in business contexts. The use of GSR and EEG provides a deep understanding of how experience influences decision-making and stress management, offering a basis for developing specific support and training programs for entrepreneurs at different stages of business evolution. Additionally, the study investigates the impacts of environmental regulations on GTI by utilizing nonlinear panel smooth threshold regression (PSTR) models on data collected from 18 countries from 2002 to 2020. By identifying a critical regulatory threshold of 1.89, the research reveals how varying levels of environmental regulations significantly influence GTI dynamics. The estimation results emphasize that GDP per capita and financial development are critical in fostering GTI. However, stringent environmental regulations can counteract these positive effects. Urbanization and trade openness also positively influence GTI, with environmental regulations complementing their impacts. The transition to a service-oriented industrial structure positively affects GTI. The results underscore the negative impact of entrepreneurship indicators, potentially diverting resources away from GTI. Nonetheless, environmental regulations with stringent enforcement mechanisms can counterbalance the negative impacts of specific entrepreneurship metrics.
