A study using data from Chinese companies between 2010 and 2019 shows that digital transformation does enhance risk-taking. This is achieved through two channels—reducing financial risk and enhancing enterprise value—and attracting media attention and improving information communication. Other factors like ownership, financing, industry competition, and policy uncertainty can also boost this effect. These findings offer significant contributions towards comprehending the influence of digital transformation on the real economy and offer practical insights to optimize the digital dividend and enhance the high-quality development of enterprises.","PeriodicalId":46306,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Global Information Management","volume":"13 4","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-11-08","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135342023","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":3,"RegionCategory":"管理学","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

To achieve this objective, the backpropagation (BP) neural network model is designed and implemented, promoting the application of intelligent technology in supply chain financing and virtual economic risk control. Initially, a fundamental BP neural network model is developed and evaluated. Subsequently, an Adam-BP neural network model is proposed by optimizing the Adam optimizer, providing substantial technical support for enhancing the supply chain financing model and virtual economic risk control. The research results indicate significant performance improvement after applying Adam optimization to BP, with all indicators in the plant classification dataset surpassing 0.92 and those in the credit card fraud dataset increasing to above 0.9. Thus, the model presented here exhibits exceptional adaptability and offers effective technical support for optimizing the supply chain financing model and virtual economic risk control methods.","PeriodicalId":46306,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Global Information Management","volume":"171 3","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-11-08","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135341939","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":3,"RegionCategory":"管理学","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The unified theory of acceptance and use of technology (UTAUT) is used as an underpinning theory to examine the impact of performance expectancy, effort expectancy, social influence, and facilitation condition on the intention to use the industrial metaverse. The results of this study reveal that performance expectancy, social influence, and facilitating conditions significantly influence the intention to use the industrial metaverse. Moreover, the intention to use the industrial metaverse significantly influences organizational agility and firm performance. Further, the results of moderation hypotheses indicate that the impact of both performance expectancy and social influence on intention to use the industrial metaverse varies at high and low levels of firm innovativeness. The study's findings will enrich the metaverse literature. Further, it provides a deeper understanding of industrial metaverse adoption from a B2B perspective using the underpinnings of UTAUT. The study helps organizations understand the enablers of industrial metaverse usage intention.","PeriodicalId":46306,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Global Information Management","volume":"299 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-11-07","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135475073","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":3,"RegionCategory":"管理学","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Based on China's provincial panel data, this paper collects the information on government's environmental management and estimates the impact of environmental regulation on China's mining industry's energy and carbon performance. The study further collects information on the industries' technological innovation and analyzes the technological innovation's moderating effect on environmental regulation. The research results indicate that the interconnection between the intensity of environmental regulations and the energy and carbon performance of the mining industry is inverted U-shaped, and mining enterprises with high levels of technological innovation have better adaptability when facing pressure from external environmental regulations. Regarding policy recommendations, it is imperative that the government should enhance the environmental policy framework, develop clean energy, and incentivize mining firms to advance technological innovation.","PeriodicalId":46306,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Global Information Management","volume":"104 S5","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-11-07","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135540078","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":3,"RegionCategory":"管理学","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In the exploratory phase, semi-structured interviews were conducted with the heads of the institutions to understand their challenges in ensuring digital agility at work in higher education institutions. In the second phase, the integrated model derived from codes taken from interview responses was developed. The first study round identified factors affecting digital agility from word cloud and thematic analysis using grounded theory. Based on the common codes, themes were developed, and an integrated model comprising digital transformational leadership, internal branding, and digital self-efficacy was developed. Then, established measures were taken to test the model, while a novel scale was developed to measure digital agility. Hierarchical regression analysis indicated that digital transformational leadership impacts digital agility with intervening roles of internal branding and digital self-efficacy.","PeriodicalId":46306,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Global Information Management","volume":"10 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-10-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"136317792","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":3,"RegionCategory":"管理学","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

For this study, the authors developed a performance evaluation system for logistics enterprises under the paradigm of sustainable development to reveal the fissures and quandaries within the operational milieu by scrutinizing the current state of logistics enterprises. Drawing on pertinent references and empirical inquiries, they employed the entropy weight method to allocate weights to the performance evaluation metrics of logistics enterprises and TOPSIS–grey relational analysis method to comprehensively assess the performance of such enterprises. Empirical findings show that during the period of 2016–2018, a majority of the sampled logistics enterprises demonstrated an ascending trajectory in their comprehensive proximity, and a minority exhibited fluctuating and descending trends. These findings suggest the favorable trajectory of the evolution of logistics enterprises.","PeriodicalId":46306,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Global Information Management","volume":"50 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-10-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"136263424","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":3,"RegionCategory":"管理学","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The study adopts a mixed-method approach. Initially, semi-structured are conducted to identify the constructs. Subsequently, empirical analysis is carried out to establish the relationship between different constructs. In the framework of the present investigations, personal safety, digital literacy, and social influence as stimuli (S) that affect an individual's openness to change, which acts as organism (O), and in turn, it expresses an individual's willingness to adopt the services of m-payment apps (R). Through structural equation modeling, responses from 429 consumers are used to evaluate a model incorporating the S-O-R framework with mediator, moderator, and control variables. The results showed a positive and significant relationship between personal safety, social influence, digital literacy, and m-payment adoption. Openness to change partially mediated all the associations, while user involvement moderated the associations between digital literacy, openness to change, and m-payment adoption. One of the study's primary contributions is applying the S-O-R model in this context, along with mediating and moderating the influence of openness to change and user involvement. The study's results enrich our understanding of consumer behavior and actual practices post-COVID-19.","PeriodicalId":46306,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Global Information Management","volume":"5 6","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-10-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135167504","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":3,"RegionCategory":"管理学","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Since ESM can afford high communication visibility, employees may be afraid of being supervised. Drawing from self-determination theory, this paper examined how communication visibility moderates the process from two types of motivations (i.e., autonomous motivation and controlled motivation) to employees' subsequent participation provision. Factor-based structural equation modeling was used to analyze a recall-based sample, including 358 employees who are using an ESM tool named DingTalk, within their organizations. The results revealed that autonomous/controlled motivation could indirectly increase/decrease continuance participation intention by positive affect. Also, communication visibility can undermine the positive effects of autonomous motivation and then continuance participation intention. These findings suggest the necessity of stimulating ESM participation with autonomous motivation and balancing the communication visibility afforded by ESM.","PeriodicalId":46306,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Global Information Management","volume":"5 10","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-10-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135167111","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":3,"RegionCategory":"管理学","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
