Technology and market uncertainty create challenges in understanding business needs, choosing analytical tools, determining customer insights, and market trends. This study aims to assess the quality of marketing analytics, including technology and information quality. Data were collected from 236 North American respondents working in firms with at least limited experience in the deployment of BDMA. The analysis tool was PLS-SEM. The findings supported the hypothesis that technology and market uncertainty negatively influence the quality of analytical outcomes. This study makes a significant theoretical and methodological contribution to BDMA literature by assessing the quality of analytics as an integrated formative construct.","PeriodicalId":46306,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Global Information Management","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":4.5,"publicationDate":"2024-07-17","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"141829627","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":3,"RegionCategory":"管理学","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Findings indicate that internet use has a significant and positive effect on the health of rural women and hold up to endogenous and robustness testing. Additionally, the strength of the effects of internet use on self-rated health, depression, and cognition level decreases with age. Information accessibility and social trust as the important path mechanisms for Internet use to promote self-rated health and cognition level. We also investigated the impact of COVID-19 outbreak on this mechanism to further recognize the critical role of digital technology in global public health emergency preparedness and response efforts. These findings provide some insights for policy formulation by Governments and practical action by organizations to better improve women's health in rural areas and reduce rural health disparities.","PeriodicalId":46306,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Global Information Management","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":4.5,"publicationDate":"2024-07-17","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"141830796","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":3,"RegionCategory":"管理学","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

With the increasing importance of state-owned enterprises (SOEs) that represent governments' stand to respond to environmental challenges, this study investigates how state ownership affects green innovation and how digital transformation factors play a role at both the firm level and the provincial level. Based on the data analysis of Chinese listed firms between 2008 and 2021, we find that state ownership hinders green innovation. However, with a high degree of digital transformation at the firm level and digital innovation capability at the province level, the state ownership and green innovation relationship can be weakened. Overall, this study advances both green innovation and SOE innovation literature by bridging state ownership, green innovation, and digital-related factors. We advocate government and SOE managers to invest more in digital transformation and improve their digital capabilities for better green innovation output.","PeriodicalId":46306,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Global Information Management","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":4.5,"publicationDate":"2024-07-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"141831680","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":3,"RegionCategory":"管理学","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

According to our findings, customer readiness characteristics (innovativeness and optimism) positively affect customers' expectations of chatbots (effort expectations as well as performance expectations), whereas discomfort negatively impacts effort expectations but does not significantly affect performance expectations. In addition, our results indicate that customers' expectancy characteristics of chatbots will positively impact their trust in this technology. These outcomes highlight the importance of an individual's personality and his expectations of the chatbots which will lead to his trust in this technology within the online shopping context. The results provide insights into building trust in chatbots, thus increasing customer willingness to use them.","PeriodicalId":46306,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Global Information Management","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":4.5,"publicationDate":"2024-07-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"141641819","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":3,"RegionCategory":"管理学","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The question is, how will the decentralization or centralization of MNCs affect the communication and management of information among employees. To address this deficiency, this study introduces the concept of time synchronization and attempts to examine the relationship between MNCs location choice and corporate innovation quality from a new perspective. By gathering data from the Chinese internationalized firms, we found that time synchronization between parents and subsidiaries is positively associated with the innovation quality of parent firms, and the degree of digitization strengthens this positive relationship. This study underscores the crucial role of overlapping work time for employee interactions between parents and subsidiaries to acquire information in comprehending and absorbing overseas knowledge to improve the innovation quality of parent firms.","PeriodicalId":46306,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Global Information Management","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":4.7,"publicationDate":"2024-05-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"141104804","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":3,"RegionCategory":"管理学","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Despite the fact that studies have examined the impacts of answer content factors on answer helpfulness, there are two gaps that need further analysis. First, the empirical results of the existing relevant studies on the effect of answer emotion are inconsistent. Second, prior studies only have examined the independent impacts of answer content factors and question content cues on answer helpfulness. To fill this gap, a research model reflecting the impacts of emotional content and question-answer congruence on answer helpfulness was developed and empirically examined. Our empirical analyses confirm that emotional content and answer helpfulness are related to one another in the form of an inverted U-shape and indicate that two types of question-answer congruence (emotional intensity congruence and linguistic style matching) positively affect answer helpfulness. Theoretical and practical implications are discussed.","PeriodicalId":46306,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Global Information Management","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":4.7,"publicationDate":"2024-05-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"141105169","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":3,"RegionCategory":"管理学","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Such as opportunism, “free riding” and data leakage affect supply chain development. Thus, many manufacturing firms are adopting supply chain relationship governance (SCRG) as a strategic to enhance performance. Using data collected from a survey of 295 manufacturing firms, this paper confirms the influence of SCRG on supply chain performance (SCP). The mediating effect of supply chain integration (SCI) and the moderating effect of digital capabilities (DCs) are explored. The results show that SCRG has a beneficial effect on SCP. SCI plays a partial mediating role in SCRG and SCP. DCs positively moderate the relationship between SCRG and SCI. This study is one of the first to explore the role of DCs in the relationship between supply chain partners and the impact on performance. It provides fresh perspectives and real-world evidence for determining the importance of SCRG strategies.","PeriodicalId":46306,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Global Information Management","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":4.7,"publicationDate":"2024-05-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"141106852","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":3,"RegionCategory":"管理学","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

There is a lack of research into AI-enabled customer experiences. Hence, this study aims to use the relevant literature to propose a conceptual framework for how the integration of AI in customer service can lead to an improved AI-enabled customer experience. Five propositions drawn from the reviewed literature present the main factors needed to ensure end users' acceptance of AI customer service in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Our theoretical model extends the trust-commitment theory and service quality model, and incorporates perceived problem-solving ability, to address these factors and thereby guide the successful implementation of AI based customer service projects. The paper will help in understanding the key issues surrounding AI customer service applications that may support successful operations.","PeriodicalId":46306,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Global Information Management","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":4.7,"publicationDate":"2024-05-07","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"141004531","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":3,"RegionCategory":"管理学","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

We follow a two-step analysis: The first-order measurement model is leveraged to assess collaboration level, and the second-order confirmatory factor analysis develops the collaboration level by using four indicators representing customer and supplier firms as well as two specific indicators for each of them. Four items are common practices for both sides: joint sales forecasting, exchange of basic information, joint planning, and joint delivery improvement. Two practices are highly oriented toward customers: resource sharing of logistics assets and exchange of performance evaluation. Business-to-business practices engaged mostly with suppliers include the implementation of replenishment systems and joint new product development. Collaboration measurement between suppliers and client firms contributes to effectively manage the relationship between the supplier and client firms and can improve the competitiveness of participating firms in the network.","PeriodicalId":46306,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Global Information Management","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":4.7,"publicationDate":"2024-05-02","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"141020610","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":3,"RegionCategory":"管理学","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
