Thus, sustainable fashion behaviors are a growing trend for promoting environmental sustainability. However, the sustainable fashion industry, particularly second-hand clothing is still in its infancy, especially in the emerging economies. By extending the value-belief-norm model, this study explores the impact of environmental values (biosphere and altruistic values), beliefs (ecological worldview, awareness of consequences, and ascription of responsibility), and norms (personal and social norms) on second-hand fashion behaviors. This study used cross-sectional design and collected quantitative data from 1847 responses through online survey. For data analysis, this study used partial least squares structural equation modelling (PLS-SEM) and multi-group analysis (MGA). Findings of this study confirmed the positive and significant effect of biosphere and altruistic values on ecological worldview. Ecological worldview, awareness of consequences, and ascription of responsibility also have positive and significant effects on personal norms. Moreover, personal and social norms have a significant positive effect on intentions towards second-hand fashion behaviors. Finally, the intention towards second-hand fashion behaviors has a positive and significant effect on second-hand fashion behaviors. This study validates that environmental values, beliefs, and norms significantly impact sustainable fashion behaviors, particularly in the area of second-hand clothing. This study emphasizes the important role of social norm on second-hand fashion behaviors, and adds research references in the field of emerging economies. The findings provide valuable insights and a reference for fashion industry practitioners to improve their operational strategies. Environmental policies should therefore focus on promoting the consumer's and industry's attention and enthusiasm for second-hand fashion as a sustainable behavior and its environmental consequences, and strengthening the extent of dissemination of the idea.</p></div>","PeriodicalId":46001,"journal":{"name":"Asia Pacific Management Review","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":5.5,"publicationDate":"2024-06-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S1029313224000010/pdfft?md5=7e9fe7213d147c67a773ac24de3cbe12&pid=1-s2.0-S1029313224000010-main.pdf","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139878732","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"OA","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Setting aside the equally and value-weighted portfolio strategies, the six strategies remaining are grounded in the mean-variance framework, fundamental index model, predictive blends model, and single-index model, respectively. Employing the rolling-window method, we compute the following monthly out-of-sample performance metrics for the portfolios: average excess return, standard deviation, Sharpe ratio, certainty equivalent return (CER), single-year cumulative returns, and value-at-risk. Portfolio weights are determined using a five-year estimation period and remain fixed (buy and hold) during the sixth year. In addition to scrutinizing the portfolios’ performance on a yearly basis, we also assess their cumulative long-term performance over multiple years. We investigate the impact of stock market fluctuations on various investment strategies, considering periods of boom and bust as a test of robustness. We posit here that CER, rather than the Sharpe ratio, is a suitable performance measurement index. We further explore the influence of portfolio diversification on investment performance. Generally, our findings suggest an inverse relationship between investment performance and the HHI, indicating that diversification tends to enhance investment performance while mitigating investment risk.</p></div>","PeriodicalId":46001,"journal":{"name":"Asia Pacific Management Review","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":5.5,"publicationDate":"2024-06-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S1029313224000022/pdfft?md5=eaa8946c55c7e7baeb628912c35e71cb&pid=1-s2.0-S1029313224000022-main.pdf","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140790813","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"OA","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Most articles in the extant literature have discussed leadership factors impacting project success; however, leadership behavioural practices encompassing characteristics/dimensions have not been considered and discussed in a unified manner. Therefore, a need arises with an objective for such a study to bridge the gap of a systematic literature review on leadership behavioural practice characteristics and provide a unified summarised effort to understand relationships with project success from relevant studies between 2000 and 2021. A sample of 72 out of 2805 articles was finally selected for rigorous analysis in a seven-step literature review process. This SLR has identified high to moderate levels of tangible managerial interpersonal and emotional behavioural practice characteristics compared to low-level task-oriented and intellectual practices on construction projects. Compelling evidence shows that relationship-building and people-oriented project leaders using effective communication and collaborative working are highly valued compared to task-oriented project leaders on successful construction projects. Effective leadership practices and findings from this SLR will provide a benchmark for future researchers to investigate further construction projects to generalize SLR outcomes on a broader scale. In addition, project organizations can use our identified cluster listings of behavioural practice characteristics during their recruitment process of project professionals. The online survey questionnaire was distributed to a convenience sample of young Chinese consumers aged 18–35 years through the platforms WJX and WeChat. The data collection period spanned from September to December 2022. The analysis involved a total of 1074 participants, and the statistical technique employed was partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) using Smart-PLS 4.0. Common-method bias, multivariate normality, validity, and reliability were also assessed. The results revealed that biospheric values (BV), altruistic values (AV), the new ecological paradigm (EP), awareness of consequences (AC), the ascription of responsibility (AR), and personal norms (PN) significantly and positively influenced intention toward green consumption practices (IGP), which, in turn, had a significant positive influence on the adoption of green consumption practices (AGP). Additionally, GT did not moderate the association between IGP and AGP. This study contributes to the literature on green consumption by analyzing VBN theory’s influence on Chinese youth’s behavior toward green consumption practices to understand and promote green behavior. After validating the challenges, they were ranked from most severe to least severe using the multi-criteria decision-making (MCDM) method based on rough set theory that leans on the indiscernibility relation between the objects. The study indicates that huge initial investments and costs incurred to mobilize the internet of things (IoT) enabled framework in the construction firms are the major obstacles to the adoption of the Industry 4.0 methods. The recruitment of experts to train the employees and workers is seen as another big hurdle in the aforementioned objective. It is a challenge to educate and train them on sophisticated technology that requires a basic understanding of computer fundamentals and IT-related concepts that is found lacking in the workers employed at the lower levels.
