An increasingly complex environment requires efficient information management and effective training and development programs. This is very significant especially when there is a conflict or crisis. T Therefore, the objective of this paper is in addition to obtaining the validity and reliability value of the constructed questionnaire items, it is also to determine the influence of information management which includes information environment, information ambiguity and communication cycle on the effectiveness of training and development programs in the public sector. This study used a survey method through a questionnaire that was distributed to 102 respondents consisting of staff at the Department of Broadcasting Malaysia online through the Google Form platform. Weick's Organizational Information Theory and Kirkpatrick's Evaluation Model were adopted in this study. The collected data was then analyzed using the Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS) v.22 software to test the validity and reliability of the items and then test the hypotheses presented. The results of the study show that all aspects of information management studies have a strong positive significant relationship with the effectiveness of training and development programs. Through regression analysis it proves that information management contributes as much as 71.9% to the effectiveness of training and development programs but the aspect of the information environment has no influence on the dependent variable. Overall, aspects of the communication cycle are the main contributors that affect the effectiveness of training and development programs compared to aspects of the information environment and information ambiguity. Discussing the content and the objective behind the visual publication of The Perak War, which involved the hunt of J.W.W. Birch murderers and the Malay resistance against the British colonial authority in Pasir Salak, Perak, is the major objective of this research. In fact, the theme of this study is history, which is conducted by applying the qualitative method. Based on previous studies, research which was centred on the Perak War visuals did not get a lot of attention from researchers even though it was able to offer new interpretations of historical events involving Malaya. Most articles written on the Perak War were derived from written sources such as British records, individual records, letters, books, oral input, and others. Consequently, the dynamics of national history are lacking due to the limitations caused by these resources. Findings indicate that the objective in producing the Perak War visuals by the resources mentioned differs from the publication goal. Nevertheless, overall, there are similarities in the objective behind visual productions listed in this study which was to represent the British’s interest in Malaya and also to consolidate the imperial image of its colonies. The digitization process has happened so rapidly in Malaysia involving various financial and non-financial sectors. Various parties are affected by the digitization process that is taking place, including refugees who seek protection in Malaysia. In this digitization effort, several elements closely related to digitization, namely the global virtual world, information landscape and digital augmentation are important elements to achieve the goal of sustainable digitization among refugees. This is important because the refugee group is not officially recognized by the government. Therefore, digital platforms need to be utilized in refugee management in Malaysia. Based on those elements, this qualitative study was carried out by involving three informants representing the government, private sector and NGO based in Putrajaya, Malaysia. In-depth interviews conducted found that the digitization process has taken place to help the government ensure that every refugee entering the country can be managed better. There are also refugees who have been successfully registered officially because the digitization process has facilitated the registration of refugees with UNHCR Malaysia. However, there is room for improvement to ensure that the government's digital systems work smoothly in dealing with the refugee problem in Malaysia. The results of this study provide benefits to the government and other parties directly involved such as Non-Governmental Organizations and UNHCR as well as researchers and students who study refugees in Malaysia. In Indonesia, one of the interesting and crucial realities is human rights since it is associated with the state of democracy. This study is aimed at exploring the function of media irritability concerning human rights issues in Indonesia during the 2009-2019 period through a series of frames that emerged on the news. The main research question addressed in the current study refers to how media framing of human rights issues in Indonesia is utilized by the media to illustrate the state of human rights. The human rights issue selected is civil and political rights in the 2009-2019 period reported by two media, namely Koran Tempo and Kompas newspapers. Frame analysis was used as a method with a strategic frame analysis (SFA) approach. All the research results were analyzed using the media irritability concept, which is one of the key ideas of Niklas Luhmann’s System Theory. This research results indicate that, generally speaking, human rights frames in Indonesia did not undergo any changes between 2009 and 2019. Human rights had been framed as a mandate or agenda of the reform. The framing of human rights conditions in Indonesia remained stagnant without any progress. The function of media irritability has yet to be significantly observed. The framing of human rights, which tended to be stagnant, remains incapable of mobilizing other systems to resonate with human rights issues. However, religiosity's role in the development of a brand image by religious visual communication design is rarely discussed, even though there are emotional connections in the marketing activities. This study’s objective is to understand how culture, specifically religiosity, could affect the brand image through local ads’ appeal. Five different brands from outdoor advertisements were selected as a case study for this research. A qualitative study was employed to obtain an in-depth appreciation in sociological context. Thus, seven informants of expertise participated using semi-structured interviews as the data collection tool and continued with thematic analysis assisted by Atlas.ti in identifying patterns across the collected datasets. Three main themes were discovered which are; commodification, halalness and trustworthiness. Religiosity is said to be positively affected by religious visual communication design in ads. These emotional strategies in marketing easily gain attention from their values, which are later translated into trustworthiness which is called commodification. Religious cues in ads are easily associated as the products’ brand image even though some are considered as misled. A fine line between marketing and religion needs to be drawn by the marketers or advertisers to avoid exaggeration and becoming a norm in marketing. The data were collected from 60 millennials who were Facebook users living in Malaysia. In the study, the millennials were asked to read 14 comments by other Facebook users and asked to state whether they were written by female or male users and to justify their identification of gender. An analysis framework made based on past findings on gendered language features was used to code the 14 Facebook comments as female or male features. The analysis showed that the accuracy of gender identification was about 50%. Comments identified as written by males were those containing straightforward and short comments, harsh language, male discussion topics, and societal roles. Conversely, comments identified as written by females were those containing advice, expression of emotions, empathy, female discussion topics, and polite language. The findings suggest that some language features are losing a clear gender identification. The gender-neutral features emerge from female users who also use words with profanities and insults, and write in an autonomous or directive manner, and male users who engage in attenuation/experience sharing, and interpersonal orientation/supportiveness. The study indicates that despite the association of Facebook comment features with gender, gender identity lines are getting blurred among millennial Facebook users, making gender identification more difficult. Various tweets and posts on social media display the multiple roles that mothers have been expected to play. The dynamics of motherhood during the pandemic were incisively portrayed in Komik Bunda, a comic published on one of the leading parenting sites in Indonesia, haibunda.com. This qualitative study explores how working mothers negotiate their identities to adapt, persist, and innovate amidst the ups and downs of the pandemic situation in Indonesia. Critical content analysis is performed on 30 comic strips with the theme of motherhood during a pandemic, and the findings are analysed from the perspective of feminist standpoint theory, identity, and representation. This study indicates that women experience an excessive workload resulting from their multiple identities as mothers, teachers, and workers during the pandemic. Negotiation efforts, such as identity segmentation and conceptualising partners as secondary parents, emerged as ways to manage the tensions between identities. The discussion in this study shows that the tension between identities will continue as long as women are confined by the myths of “good” mothers and “ideal” workers promoted by the ideologies of neoliberalism and capitalism. This study concludes that identity negotiation is not only about the identity mothers choose to hold but also about the authenticity and balance displayed by working mothers during and after the pandemic. Instagram is considered one of the social media platforms that produce the highest number of influencer marketing, especially to reach Generation Y and Generation Z. Influencers are part of the marketing strategy, which is also used by brands to market their products. Several studies show that the engagement rate affects the desire to buy from followers of official Instagram accounts, and also make followers consider to buy products from the official Instagram account is the number of followers. Therefore, the main study of this research is to compare the effect of the engagement rate of Instagram influencers on increasing the number of followers of official brand accounts so that the resulting recommendations can be used in the next stage of the influencer marketing process. The research will be conducted using quantitative research methods. There are two types of variables, the dependent variable is the result of adding followers to the official account during the research period and the independent variable of this research is the engagement rate value of the influencer. The results show that the engagement rate of influencers has no effect on increasing followers on Instagram's official accounts, but the engagement rate value affects the percentage increase in the number of followers. This shows that the higher the engagement rate, the higher the percentage of additional followers. A significant increase 24.7 % in followers (account number) will occur on official accounts that have previously had more followers when doing influencer marketing. The authors selected 100 persons randomly and proportionally as the research sample. In addition, 12 persons from selected followers, social media specialists, academicians, and civil society. Research shows that social media literacy, trust, and quality information on local government social media are good, yet the issue is in the public communication behaviour towards governments' social media. Furthermore, 41.2% of those three elements simultaneously influence the communication behaviour. The most dominant variable influencing communication behaviour is media social literacy and people's trust, while the quality of information has no significant impact. This process occurs as long as there is \"interaction\" with the host environment. In Malaysia, the Rohingyas are the largest refugee population as of May 2023. This population migrated forcibly and experienced intercultural adaptation upon their arrival in Malaysia. Malaysia is not a party to the 1951 Refugee Convention or its 1967 Protocol. Moreover, Malaysia does not have a specific legal or administrative framework to regulate the status and rights of refugees in this country. This makes it difficult for them to get job opportunities and access to education. This study aims to delve into the intercultural adaptation experiences of Rohingya refugees in accessing employment and education in Malaysia; and applying Ager and Strang’s (2008) conceptual framework of integration. A total of 15 male Rohingya refugees residing in Klang Valley were interviewed. Data analysis found that the experience of Rohingya refugees in Malaysia in accessing employment and education is indeed challenging. Although they are having difficulties securing a job, they are able to support themselves, their families, and send money to family members abroad. In addition, employment also acts as a platform for them to learn Bahasa Melayu through communication at the workplace. Despite facing challenges in accessing education, they are still hoping their children will receive proper education.
