Theoretical analysis show that with the proposed control strategy, the output voltage can be regulated without communication between the primary side and secondary side. The zero voltage switching (ZVS) of the inverter can be realized. The voltage equalization and second ripple on the dc-link are not conducive to not only distorting the three-phase grid side current and the inverter output voltage, but also leading to the degradation of the life of the power electronic converter devices. In this paper, a three-phase to single-phase three-level converter topology based on a symmetrical half-bridge active power decoupling circuit is proposed. This structure can maintain the balance of the two voltages on the dc-link and decouple the ripple power, thereby ensuring the instantaneous power flow balance between the three-phase grid side and the half-bridge decoupling circuit and the load, and can greatly reduce the number of required passive components and volume. In this method, the predictive current model is used to predict and estimate phase current under normal and faulty conditions. The OC fault can be detected by comparing the residual between estimated phase current and measured phase current with the threshold. The detected fault is further localized through a fault localization matrix, every element of the matrix corresponds to a switch in 3L-ANPC inverter. The matrix is updated by the compared results between actual measured phase current and the estimated phase current considering the possible switch OC faults. The utilized phase current signals are also necessary in the MPC algorithm, so the proposed fault diagnosis method does not require any additional sensors. Moreover, the fast dynamic characteristic is derived from the MPC. This paper proposes a method for online monitoring of IGBT’s bond wires in single-phase three-level neutral point clamped inverters. The proposed method has a negligible impact on the output current of the inverter, the key of which is to clamp one leg of the inverter to the O state by zero-sequence component injection at the monitoring time. Based on this method, we can create an online monitoring environment to inject monitoring current into the idle IGBT. By sampling the collector-emitter saturation voltage during monitoring, the health state of the IGBT can be obtained. Additionally, the PI controller is not capable of eliminating steady-state errors when disturbances are encountered. An extended state observer (ESO) based control method is proposed in this paper to resolve these problems. Thanks to the proposed control strategy, the ESO can detect and provide feedback to the controller in a short period of time, which allows it to respond in a timely manner. Speed Control accuracy is increased, and response time is reduced simultaneously as a result. Meanwhile, stability analysis is implemented to determine the stability condition of the observer, so that optimized observer parameters could be obtained. To address this problem, the thermal performance of silicon carbide metal-oxide-semiconductor field-effect transistor (SiC-MOSFET) and silicon insulated gate bipolar transistor (Si-IGBT) is compared and evaluated in this paper. Firstly, the loss calculations and distribution of SiC-MOSFET and Si-IGBT are analyzed. Next, the junction temperature swing of SiC-MOSFET and Si-IGBT is calculated by the thermal resistance network method, and the analysis of the junction temperature swing at different influencing factors is elaborated. Then, a thermal platform based on optical fiber thermometer is built and experimental results are provided to validate the claims. Existing robust optimization method requires a large amount of calculation time. In order to improve the accurateness and release the computational burden of the Kriging surrogate model method in the robust optimization, two genetic algorithm (GA)-based optimization methods with different sample principles are proposed and compared. The one is adding the final optimization result of GA as the samples into the surrogate model, while the other one is adding the samples from the GA process for the target surrogate model. Taking a 12-slot 14-pole interior permanent magnet (IPM) machine as a case study, the simulation results show that the latter one is more accurate than the former. In this paper, Hilbert-Huang transform is proposed to process these signals and obtain the time frequency spectrums. Then Convolutional neural network is applied to diagnose bearing faults for its perfect ability of image recognition. On the other hand, the sensorless control has demonstrated many advantages, but its application with heavy loading is limited. In this paper, a rotor position correction method using low-resolution Hall-effect sensors is proposed, which shows the advantage of low cost and high estimation precision. The exact discrete-time voltage equation model is utilized to obtain accurate speed information, and a speed estimation observer with average speed calculated using Hall signal is adopted to make rotor position converge to exact location. With the development in PM machine design and power electronics technology, PMS/G system is gaining more attention not only in low-power subsystems, but also in primary high-power systems. When the PM machine has salient pole rotor or the internal resistance is not negligible or both, there is obvious coupling between d-axis current and output power. However, in conventional control approach, the effect of d-axis current on output power is not compensated for in the q-axis current, which leads to unsatisfied control performance. This paper proposed a power decoupling control approach for PMS/G system in generating mode. The power coupling effect is mitigated which delivers improved control performance. Moreover, the output signal of voltage controller can always accurately reflect output power, which can be utilized for instantaneous power control and monitoring.
