It is noted that the Concept of student-centered learning provides for the mandatory involvement of students in the formation of educational programs, and therefore in the formation of the content of individual disciplines - a component of educational and professional programs. \u0000The purpose of the article is to determine the ways to optimize the process of forming students' competencies in the context of «soft skills» and «hard skills» based on the results of the study on the analysis and evaluation of the content and method of geographical practice. The study was conducted with students of the first (bachelor's) level of higher education (educational and professional program «Geography») at the Odesa I. I. Mechnikov National University. To analyze and evaluate the content of training, an educational complex geographical practice was chosen as a component of the educational and professional program «Geography». The respondents were students and graduates of 1980-2020. The survey questionnaire contained 12 questions, which were divided into 4 blocks: 1) age and sphere of employment of respondents; 2) received «hard skills»; 3) received social and life safety skills; 4) emotional assessment of the practice and recommendations for improving the practice program. The author carried out a thorough analysis of the concepts «quality», «quality of education», «quality of higher education». The essence and content of the studied phenomenon is clarified, the need for theoretical and methodological justification of the identified problem for further use in the subject field of pedagogical science and practice is emphasized. It was found that the quality of higher education is a complex multifaceted and diverse category, the interpretation of which depends on the socio-economic development of society and its dominant values. In the course of the study, methods of retrospective, system-logical, structural-functional analysis were used, which allowed to reveal the content and essence of the phenomenon. The results of the conducted research became a comprehensive justification of the concept of the quality of higher education through the prism of modern scientific discourse. Based on a number of scientific works, the author considers the category of higher education quality in the context of all possible directions of its manifestation, in particular at the level of the result, process and educational system. A survey of 31,478 parents/persons who replace them and 11,415 teachers and representatives/representatives of the administration of general secondary education institutions was conducted, the results of which were compared with those obtained during the pilot study of 2018. The effectiveness of the approbation of methodological recommendations regarding the organization of an educational institution’s website (with a focus on respect for human rights in the online space), based on the results of the pilot study was verified. It was found that 22.13% more parents/persons who replace them sign permission to take photos and videos of their child, the number of educational institutions’ websites, which publish warnings and contact information for deleting personal data, photos, videos with the child, has increased. It was determined that the number of general secondary education institutions that have a common vision, understanding, instructions and rules for publishing/distributing photos and videos with children on social networks and messengers has increased. This was indicated by 47.12% more parents/persons who replace them, and by 56.48% more teaching staff. The survey showed that 62.71% of the interviewed teachers apply the methodological recommendations and, more often, the rules for filling the educational institution’s website approved by the internal instructions of the educational institution. The major concern of the academic community was related to the quality of the educational process and how the student-centered education paradigm can be introduced in the online environment. The students and teachers of the post-pandemic generation are no longer the same, this period has strongly impacted society, mentalities, and the school's future. Analyzing online education from multiple perspectives, the advantages, and opportunities generated by the integration of ICT in the teaching process are obvious. However, many variables have an impact on the effectiveness of e-learning, and many unanswered questions, yet. This research aims to analyze the key drivers of technology acceptance and the role played by three external variables: content adaptation, facilitating conditions, and ease of access in the context of exclusive online education. For this purpose, an extended technology acceptance model has been conceptualized and tested on a sample of Romanian university students. The results illustrate that content adaptation represents an important predictor of both the perceived ease of use and usefulness. According to international policies, children who seek or are under international protection have the right to education. To access the education system of the Republic of Croatia more easily, they are given the opportunity to attend Croatian language preparatory or remedial classes.\u0000The research aim was to determine the needs and challenges posed by the inclusion of a Syrian asylum seeker in a Croatian primary school. The qualitative approach was applied. The case study presents a ten-year-old Syrian girl, attending a primary school in Zagreb. The data were gathered with the use of semi-structured interviews with the girl's sister, teachers in the primary school, and her classmates. In order to gain a deeper insight into the girl's functioning in the school context, notes made by teachers during observation of the girl’s performance in the course of the educational process were gathered and analysed. Research showed the students conceptual difficulty ranged from their lack of the pre-requisite knowledge for grasping the topic hybridisation to chemical bond formation and orientations of atomic orbitals. This study investigated the difficulties Senior High School Students face in learning hybridisation. The study adopted a mixed-method approach using the sequential exploratory design. Purposive sampling was used to select six schools that offer elective chemistry subject. Simple random sampling was then used to select 120 Senior High School form 1 students to take part in the study. Convenient sampling was used to interview 24 students from the sample. Hybridisation Achievement Test (HAT) and Semi-structured interviews were self-constructed and used to collect data. Descriptive statistics and Content analysis were used to analyse the data. Results showed that, majority of students had difficulties in explaining the concept of hybrid orbitals, writing the electron configuration of 6C, explaining the effect of hybridisation on formation of chemical bonds in 6C, and type of hybridisation and shapes of compounds such as NH3, OF2, BCl3, CO2, SiO2, C2H2, BeF¬2 and C2H4. The study also showed that students had difficulties in explaining and demonstrating the formation of C = C double bond in ethene and other compounds. Equally students were challenged in demonstrating the differences between the formation of sigma and pi bonds in compounds. Students had difficulties in using electron orbital diagrams to explain the shape of CO2 as linear. The study concluded that Senior High School form 1 chemistry students in the Upper West Region of Ghana lacked the most basic and fundamental concept of hybridisation. For this reason, the aim of this study was to develop a scale to determine secondary school students’ perceptions of mathematical problem solving. In the study conducted in a basic research model, a scale application, one of the quantitative research methods, was used. The sample of the study consisted of 325 secondary school students. Validity and reliability analyses were made with the data obtained on the sample. Five sub-dimensions of the scale were determined through exploratory factor analysis. Confirmatory factor analyses were performed for these 5 sub-dimensions, and the fit indices were found to range from acceptable to excellent. The explained variance of the “Mathematical Problem-Solving Perception Scale” was 66.15%, and the Cronbach alpha value for the whole scale was .93.
