There are some indirect causes like lead time, the number of echelons, and some direct causes of bullwhip effect such as rationing or price variation. Due to capacity constraints, retailers are forced to experience rationing of their demands. Fear of rationing usually gives rise to manipulable demand and hence increases the bullwhip effect. Moreover, if the retailer’s demand is price sensitive then it will cause price variation. The offerings of premium payment by retailers due to unfulfilled demand lure the supplier to extend his existing capacity and to allocate them more supply. In this paper, an attempt has been made to mitigate the impact of the bullwhip effect using a premium payment scheme. A technique has been coined that will help in reducing the bullwhip effect. The increased value of the supply chain on using a premium payment scheme is proof of the reduction of the bullwhip effect. Results are validated through numerical analysis.","PeriodicalId":44506,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Information Systems and Supply Chain Management","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":1.6,"publicationDate":"2022-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"85625678","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The technology of BCT helps the organizations to achieve integrity among peer-to-peer nodes, such as maintaining proof of work, reducing intermediaries, traceability, etc. It can be applied in the BCT at different levels of supply chain management processes. This empirical study was conducted with the help of the primary data. The data was collected from food industry managers who have knowledge about the BCT in the process of supply chain management. The questionnaire was prepared based on the different supply chain activities like procurement, pre-processing, logistics, warehousing, inventory management, distribution, retailing, processing, and marketing activities. Based on the literature and data analysis, the BCT had the greatest advantages including cost reduction, traceability, time-saving, immutability, authentication, and proof of work. The major weaknesses are associated with present employees having a lack of knowledge, limited scalability, complexity in usage, and high initial cost. An intensive literature review was conducted and many experts from apparel supply chain were consulted. The study was conducted by the help of a survey sent to these experts from different echelons in the apparel industry. The data was then analysed using Total Interpretive Structural Modelling (TISM). The “Difficulty in export order fulfilment” factor is found to be the most sensitive factor which means that it is present in the TISM model hierarchy in a place that it is affected by most of the factors and in-turn impacts factors like operational cost, change in marketing strategy, change in consumer buying pattern, which impact Profitability and Cut-off in employment. “Cut-off in employment” is found to be most impacted by all other factors in TISM model.","PeriodicalId":44506,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Information Systems and Supply Chain Management","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":1.6,"publicationDate":"2022-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"90865144","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

AFSC must possess extremely high levels of resilience when confronted by the pandemic. In this study, we have identified six important resilience criteria and eighteen sub-criteria of AFSC in the context of the COVID-19. The research presents the conceptual mixed multi-criteria decision-making (MCDM) technology to prioritize the resilience criteria based on understanding their interrelationships. Results identify three essential resilience criteria, namely “coordination and collaboration in the supply chain”, “efficiency”, and “strategic management” and the top five key sub-criteria as “velocity”, “visibility”, “continuity management”, “connectedness”, “collaborative planning and replenishment”. The framework proposed in this study contributes to the interdisciplinary understanding towards building resilience within AFSC, and has the potential to be extended to other types of supply chains in response to COVID-19.","PeriodicalId":44506,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Information Systems and Supply Chain Management","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":1.6,"publicationDate":"2022-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"81306858","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The extant literature mainly explores the pricing and investment decisions for the platform, but pays little attention to the classification of sellers when making decisions. This paper investigates the investment of value-added service and pricing strategies for an e-commerce platform with competing sellers. Specifically, this paper considers a two-sided platform that is composed of an e-commerce platform, buyers and sellers. Sellers with high performance requirement and with low performance requirement compete for the buyers in the platform. This paper assumes that each buyer will choose the sellers’ type immediately after entering the platform and buy a unit of product in the platform. Through theoretical analysis the authors show that, the platform will gain more profits by investing in value-added services for type-A sellers and it will obtain the optimal profit when the transaction fee is moderate.","PeriodicalId":44506,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Information Systems and Supply Chain Management","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":1.6,"publicationDate":"2022-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"75459503","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Finally, it is verified by numerical analysis. Consumers' green preference is positively correlated with retail prices, wholesale prices and the level of green investment efforts, market demand for products, and equity transfer ratios acceptable to both parties in equity financing; when the manufacturer's capital constraints are not financing, the manufacturer's initial capital level is positively correlated with manufacturer's wholesale price, and retailer's retail price are negatively correlated, but it is positively correlated with the level of green investment efforts; the greater the bank loan interest rate, the larger the manufacturer's acceptable share transfer ratio.","PeriodicalId":44506,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Information Systems and Supply Chain Management","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":1.6,"publicationDate":"2022-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"75527249","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

But there are some problems in machine translation, such as good reading, unable to reflect the mood and context, and even some languages machines cannot recognize. In order to improve the quality of translation, this paper uses the SSCI method to improve the quality of translation. It is found that the translation quality of hierarchical phrases is significantly improved after using the parallel algorithm of machine translation, which is about 9% higher than before, and the problem of context free grammar is also solved. The research also found that the use of parallel algorithm can effectively reduce the network memory occupation; the original 10-character content, after using the parallel algorithm, only need to occupy 8 characters, and the optimization reaches 20%. This means that the parallel algorithm of hierarchical phrase machine translation based on distributed network memory can play a very important role in machine translation.","PeriodicalId":44506,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Information Systems and Supply Chain Management","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":1.6,"publicationDate":"2022-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"85660017","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this paper, the author thinks of BOPS as an effective strategy for encouraging some online customers to switch to offline stores with high online return losses. The author first studies an omni-channel supply chain with centralized and decentralized decision making and explains why online returns hurt the supply chain with respect to the matching rate and the unit return loss. Although different channels can be operated by the same firm or different firms, the author studies how to coordinate the entire chain using a revenue-sharing contract. When online return losses are high, it is effective to adopt BOPS to reduce online return losses; otherwise there is no need to do so. Finally, the author presents numerical experiments, including a special case, and shows that in many cases using an appropriate revenue-sharing contract under the proposed mechanism can increase the profits of the entire supply chain and its members.","PeriodicalId":44506,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Information Systems and Supply Chain Management","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":1.6,"publicationDate":"2022-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"88324895","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A key feature of these digital gadgets is the short length of the product life cycle, since the newer and more advanced generations of technologies are developed regularly to replace the earlier conventional technologies. The traditional EOQ models that assume a constant demand cannot be used here. This research paper formulates an inventory optimization model for the multi-generational products under the trade credits and the credit-linked and innovation diffusion dependent demand. The study also performs a numerical illustration of the proposed model, and establishes important dynamics among the key variables. It also performs the sensitivity analysis with the cost of credit and the trade credit period. The paper concludes with the managerial implications for the inventory practitioners and the possible areas of extension for this research in the future.","PeriodicalId":44506,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Information Systems and Supply Chain Management","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":1.6,"publicationDate":"2022-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"89315437","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
