This article develops a multi-agent simulation model to explore price, subsidy and bundling decisions for competing mobile phone supply chains with network externality, where each chain includes one mobile phone manufacturer and one service operator. There are two bundling strategies: free or bundled. The results indicate that: 1) if the impact of network externality is not too small, then competitive differentiation can be formed when one party adopts a bundled one. If bundled scenario is adopted by both, the total profit is reduced. Consequently, both service operators and manufacturers choose (accept) different bundling strategies; 2) network externality and consumer heterogeneity both increase the advantage of bundled scenario in the asymmetric setting; 3) when the effect of network externality is sufficiently small, free scenario is dominant; and 4) consumer heterogeneity can alleviate competition in the symmetric settings.","PeriodicalId":44506,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Information Systems and Supply Chain Management","volume":"17 1","pages":"54-77"},"PeriodicalIF":1.6,"publicationDate":"2020-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"81492132","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The objective of this research article is to investigate numerous risks that affect the aviation supply chain (ASC) performance and to develop a proposed framework to measure the overall supply chain risk index by considering the importance of each risk. Aviation industry is at higher level of risks, that's why the researchers have identified the most serious 10 supply chain risks (SCRs) in this industry. In order to tackle with this key problem, an indexing system for comprehensive risk evaluation has been developed, which captures the ratings and weights for risk factors, namely occurrence probability, severity of impact, and ease of mitigation, encountered by a holistic supply chain in a given scenario. In this context, to quantify the risks in a supply chain, the researchers have formulated as a fuzzy multi-attribute group decision making (FMAGDM) model, based on fuzzy FMEA and extended VIKOR methods to analyze the most feasible solution according to the selected risk parameters as per situation. The results of the present study depicted that disruption risk, financial risk, and legal/political regulations are the most significant and typical risk (ASC). A practical case study in an aviation sector of Pakistan is piloted to check the practicability of the suggested methodology. Finally, the effectiveness of the proposed model has been discussed by ranking risk alternatives in descending order. In order to check the robustness of results, a sensitivity analysis has been conducted.","PeriodicalId":44506,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Information Systems and Supply Chain Management","volume":"128 21 1","pages":"27-46"},"PeriodicalIF":1.6,"publicationDate":"2020-04-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"74523207","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The second supplier then supplies all the goods required by the retailer. The model is chosen as the simplest case to examine resilience. Time to recover from disruption to ship all goods required by customers is slightly worse when the order rate when it reaches capacity limits but is less than the delay in the system from supplier to final shipment. Just over one weeks' maximum shipments stock at each tier guarantees shipments impervious to the collapse of one supplier, controller type has little effect on the performance of the model. This article studies the replenishment planning for recycling ATMs, which allow cash deposits to be made as well as withdrawals. The problem is formulated as a special (s, S) inventory model with two safety stocks corresponding to out-of-stock and full-of-stock risks, based on which the ATMs to be replenished each day and the replenishment amount are determined. Experiments with real data show that the model can significantly reduce costs and improve the overall service level.","PeriodicalId":44506,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Information Systems and Supply Chain Management","volume":"13 1","pages":"77-96"},"PeriodicalIF":1.6,"publicationDate":"2020-04-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"81588444","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The “Square Root Law” (for centralization of storage facilities) was proposed to combine the safety stock for both online and offline channels. A simulation study was conducted using a spreadsheet program and three scenarios were created based on review time, lead time and safety factor. This was based on the mean demand and standard deviation of the product's demand distribution. The study found that the sum of lead time and review time are significant in determining the amount of safety stock, and demand variability is a crucial determinant for safety stock. Recommendations are provided as guidelines for lowering the amount of safety stock in omni-channel environment.","PeriodicalId":44506,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Information Systems and Supply Chain Management","volume":"60 1","pages":"59-76"},"PeriodicalIF":1.6,"publicationDate":"2020-04-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"86016859","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

By collecting the survey data of 223 Chinese start-ups, this article uses the method of multiple hierarchical regression to explore the relationship between technological innovation ability, innovation atmosphere, and innovation performance. The results show that the technological innovation ability has a significantly positive influence on the innovation performance of the surveyed start-ups. At the same time, resource development ability, marketing ability, and learning ability all have significant positive effects on innovation performance. The innovation atmosphere is positively regulating the relationship between resource development capabilities, learning capabilities and innovation performance. The atmosphere of innovation negatively regulates the relationship between market capacity and innovation performance.","PeriodicalId":44506,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Information Systems and Supply Chain Management","volume":"1937 1","pages":"47-58"},"PeriodicalIF":1.6,"publicationDate":"2020-04-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"87752989","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This paper has studied omni-channel retailing in which the retailers sell low-carbon products through online and physical channels. The research has been conducted under three different decision circumstances (i.e., physical store-leader Stackelberg model and online store-leader Stackelberg model under the decentralized decision and centralized decision). The results show that both the retailers' profit in a single channel and the total profit in two channels will decrease with the customers' preference and the effort level of emission reduction. In addition, under decentralized decision, online store-leader Stackelberg model is more beneficial to the retailers.","PeriodicalId":44506,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Information Systems and Supply Chain Management","volume":"106 1","pages":"47-67"},"PeriodicalIF":1.6,"publicationDate":"2020-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"76140960","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Most literature on building resilience in a supply chain is organization-focused and discusses firm-level abilities to bounce back after a disruption. In this study, the authors explored and defined collaborative resilience in a supply chain. Specifically, a case study approach across five supply chains was followed. Through this research, an empirical definition and understanding of collaborative resilience in supply chains was derived as the finding of the study. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first empirical research to develop a definition of collaborative resilience in supply chain. This study may strike many future research studies for research on the phenomenon of collaborative resilience in supply chains.","PeriodicalId":44506,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Information Systems and Supply Chain Management","volume":"110 1","pages":"98-117"},"PeriodicalIF":1.6,"publicationDate":"2020-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"88725960","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In sales, some of them only serve as a service provider, matching buyers with sellers. But some of them have become a seller, selling directly to the customer. In logistics, some of them do not open the self-logistics to the third-party sellers, but some of them do open. As a result, a new form of channel conflict emerged. Therefore, the authors consider a self-logistics-type e-platform, who can sell directly to consumers; and a single retailer, who sells through the e-platform without self-logistics, but who may choose to contract with e-platform to deliver its products through the self-logistics. Thus, key questions for the e-platform are whether to sell directly to the customer; if they sell, the decision is whether to deliver the products through self-logistics and whether to open the self-logistics. To solve these questions, the optimal decisions of the retailer and self-logistics-type e-platforms and the system equilibrium results are analyzed under different situations. Finally, the logic tree to get the overall equilibrium is obtained.","PeriodicalId":44506,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Information Systems and Supply Chain Management","volume":"262 1","pages":"32-72"},"PeriodicalIF":1.6,"publicationDate":"2020-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"76558686","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
