Results show that, the showrooming effect is beneficial to the manufacturer, retailer and the supply chain, and the retailer will offer offline showrooming service. Under the influence of market segmentation, O2O supply chain is not necessarily better than single-channel supply chain structure. But adopting advertising and other means to improve consumers’ online channel acceptance, it can realize transformation from single-channel to O2O structure. The benefits of showrooming effect can eliminate the disadvantage of market segmentation. Moreover, a service cost sharing contract is put forward, which can perfectly coordinate the O2O supply chain with market segmentation and showrooming effect. Mathematical and simulation-based optimizations are two common disciplines. This study integrates both of them together to consolidate their advantages. A mathematical model is formulated to find an optimal production-distribution plan. Then, the result is fed into a simulation model operating under uncertainty to verify the feasibility of the plan. The integrated approach tries to find a feasible plan that satisfies both required customer service level and makespan limitation where safety stock is used to hedge against uncertainties, and lateral transshipment is used for emergency measures against excessive fluctuation of customer demand. A case study that optimizes the profit of an entire chain is used to demonstrate the algorithm. In particular, it emphasises on understanding of BDA concept in Indian industries and proposes a structure to examine industries’ development in executing BDA extends in reverse supply chain management (RSCM). A survey was conducted through questionnaires on RSCM levels of 330 industries. The empirical data was gathered through an online questionnaire-based survey from 312 SMEs in Ghana. All these enterprises are registered members of the Association of Ghanaian Industries (AGI) and are confirmed users of information systems. The framework of the study is developed based on the approaches found in technology management literature: management principles for disruptive technology, information system strategy, technological decision making, and the technology acceptance models. The aim of the paper is to unearth management principles that allow SMEs in Ghana to appraise and diffuse information system successfully. This study conducted a systematic literature review, followed by expert intervention, to identify the 16 inhibitors hindering the implementation of a combination of CE practices and I4.0 technologies in the manufacturing industry supply chain. This paper has used ISM, Fuzzy MICMAC, and Fuzzy AHP approach to analyse the interrelationship among inhibitors and highlight the most critical of them. The findings of the paper suggest ‘missing competitive leadership and ‘lack of capital' are the most critical inhibitors, hindering the implementation of I4.0 and CE approach, depriving the manufacturing sector from enormous incentives. This one-of-a-kind original research paper is a holistic attempt to highlight the key elements of manufacturing and production supply chain. It examines the effect of two strategically important pillars: supply chain relationships or capabilities. However their isolated investigation leads to a limited understanding of “how” they can be combined to increase firm performance. In this study we argue that beyond their direct effects the relational and the capability-based determinants of a supply chain have a network of indirect relationships that concurrently and differentially affect firm performance. Building on the relational and resource-based views we develop a serial-mediation model examining the mediating effects of trust in supply chain and collaborative advantage (i.e. relational determinants), and supply chain agility and coordinated supply chain (i.e. capability-based determinants) of SCM. The focus was on price discount and uncertain parameters such as product demand, product defect rate, and late-delivery product rate, which were approached using random variables with some known probability distribution function. Meanwhile, the decision variables contained in the model include the product volume ordered by each supplier at each time for each product type and those stored in the inventory to minimize the total operational cost in the problem. The corresponding optimization problem was solved using a probabilistic programming algorithm via the LINGO optimization tool. In light of the public crisis caused by COVID-19, the authors suggest a signal game model for a two-stage supply chain with two suppliers and two manufacturers. Based on the model, the impact of the digital twin platform on the profits of the local industrial symbiosis network is analyzed. The results show that the uncertainty of supply and demand caused by the public crisis has led to fluctuations in profits and profit volatility. Under this influence, suppliers are willing to participate in information sharing on the digital twin platform, but manufacturers are less willing to participate. Moreover, application of the digital twin platform in information sharing is conducive to maintaining and promoting the smooth operation of the industrial chain under these conditions of uncertainty. Despite proficient planning in the industrial system and the presence of sophisticated techniques, there may be some defective items in the lots. This paper deals with the inventory model that determines economic order quantity (EOQ) with learning effect for decaying defective quality items under the inflationary condition and credit financing policy. The objective of the work is to analyze the impact of credit financing policy, learning, and inflationary condition on the order quantity and retailer profits. Results revealed that the trade-credit policy will be beneficial for the retailer.
